cardio vs weights?

I know both are crucial to fitness, but what do you think should be done more? i like doing cardio more and I also have more stamia for cardio. I work out about 4 days a week and quite often time is an issue. I have CTX, but one body part a day? Is it enough?

Yes, both cardio and weights are important. Which should be done more depends on your fitness goals. My main goal is strength, so I do more weights than cardio. However, when I want to give my muscles a break, I switch to doing a tad more cardio and trading in pure strength training with endurance training, where I can use lighter weights. Cathe designed CTX for those who are pressed for time. That's why there's only one body part a day. I like to do split workouts once or twice a week where I work out the upper body on one day, and the lower body the next. But I also read that those who lift really heavy weights can get away with doing one body part a day for a week to give their muscles enough time to recover. Hope this makes sense.:)

You've gotten some good answers. I'd like to add that sometimes the things we lik least (fitness wise) are the ones that need the most work or would benefit us most. I personally LOVE weight training, and have a tendency to concentrate more on that. I recently discovered that my cardio capacity has decreased when I tried to do a cardio workout that I'd done previously, so now I'm going to focus a bit more on cardio.

Generally, guidelines for weights vs. cardio say a minimum of two full-body weight workouts and 3 cardio workouts per week, but you can do them on the same days.
