Cardio Only

Hi Darine,

I have always been a huge fan of cardio and DO work on upper and lower body weights at least three times a week. BUT when I wanted to loose the 5 pounds that I put on during a vacation to Mexico 4 years ago. I did only cardio for about a week and a half. Not sure what DVD's you have but , this is the rotation that I followed. ALL Cathe of coarse !

Mon: Kick, Punch & Crunch. skip the ab segment
Tues: Step , Jump, & Pump ( 'Step & Hi/Lo' pre-mix with abs )
Wed: Kick Max ( 'Kickbox/Bootcamp Cardio' premix )
Thursday: IMax2
Friday: Kick ,Punch & Crunch ('Cardio Conditioning' pre mix WITH abs)
Sat: Rest ( or walk outside for 45 minutes )
Sun: Low-Max ( select pre-mix of your choice to equal about 45-50 minutes) I usually don't do the whole DVD and only use one riser. Two gets a little tough on my calves.

Week 2: same concept. Only, I would always make sure to NOT have two step routines in a row. Gives your legs a small rest between work outs. Week two is when I would start incorprating weights back in, but keep it at two days only. , or like you said , a circuit day in there as well such as Bootcamp , OR Cardio & Weights .
I don't think its a bad idea at all ! It's a great way to mix up your routine. My usual routines include a mix of cardio & weights for a couple weeks, then I'll do 4DS one week, then a week of cardio ,and then back to cardio & weights. There are a ton of Cardio DVD's that also strengthen certain body parts too ( like Low Max,,,good cardio,,but also works your lower body ! ) Do what makes you feel accomplished and what you think is most fun, but make sure to work hard . Hope that helps a little anyway !
