Cardio limitations

Dear cathe. I am 40 years old with a below the the amputation due to cancer ever since I was 18. I was overweight until 3 years ago because I thought that I could not perform any exercise due to amputation. I started with a stationary bike and moved to weight training which eventually brought me to your videos. I am doing sts but skip leg days. I have gym style back biceps and gs triceps, chest. I also have muscle max which I have started, pyramid as well and also pre ordered xtrain ( no cyclin) For cardio I can only do mma boxing. I have lost 60 pounds and never felt better in my life and I owe some of it to Ur videos. My upper body looks very good but I though you might be able to suggest any workout to incorporate for my lower body. The muscles in the upper leg of the amputation are "dead" and don't know what to do. Because of the limited cardio I feel that I have been in a weight plateau for the last year and it is frustrating. Stationary bike is out of the question. I would appreciate if you could kindly make any suggestions. I would also understand if you cannot help me as I know that maybe all Ur cardio wo are intense. Thank you for your time...a big fan

Obviously not Cathe, but I was thinking about your post and wondered if you have a public pool near you? Swimming works your entire body and offers great cardio benefits, unless you specifically want to work out at home.

You didn't indicate what physical therapy you have or have had...perhaps those involved in your PT could make some recommendations?

Or it could be that you were asking specifically which of Cathe's DVDs she would recommend, in which case I'll leave you to her wise counsel. Oh, you said you can do MMA boxing...did you know that Xtrain is going to have a boxing workout in it? I love MMA boxing, so I'm pretty excited about that!

Congratulations on losing those 60 pounds (yay!) and making a priority of yourself and your fitness....and on being lucky enough to have found Cathe to help you toward your goals. :)

Thank You so much for your reply. To be honest, I never tought of the swimming pool and yes I do have access to one. I did pre order x train mainly for the boxing routine that is described. I am also very excited to see if Cathe has any other suggestions. As for the pool... I will start tomorrow. Thanks a lot for the suggestion ;) I am already excited.
