Cardio Kicks!

Hi there!

I've lurked on this board for a while, I love Cathe. For Christmas my husband gifted me with all the Cathe workouts that I didn't have -- so I have a complete library. Needless to say there are many I haven't done yet!

I did Cardio Kicks the other day and I LOVED THIS WORKOUT!! It was so much fun and then all of a sudden it was over!! Granted it was only an hour long, but generally Cathe kicks my butt so hard that I am begging for it to end!!!!!

I just had to share that!!

Cathe Rocks!

Hey there,

Thanks for the info. on this one. I just received this and haven't done it yet. With all the comments I have have heard recently about how much fun it is I will have to do this on my next cardio day.

Thank you for the inspiration!;-)

Wow! Cardio Kicks still kicks my butt. I am glad this one is only an hour long. When it starts with the lower/moderate intensity drills it can lure you into a false sense of security and than those endless high intensity drills start. According to my hrm and accitrainer, this is one of the high calorie burners for me (not the highest but close when you average calories burned/minute) and my hr gets into the anerobic zone during several of those drills.

Cardio Kicks was my favorite kickbox till the 4DS kickbox! CK kicks butt every time! it is one workout, that when I'm done, I feel it everywhere: legs, arms, back, abs! love that!:) And yes, the hour does fly by!

Hi!

I was a lurker too and recently decided to join the forum. I discovered Cathe back in the early 90s but due to life (kids, grad school, change in career, etc.),workouts haven't always been able to have a high priority. Now that I'm at a place where I want to work out on a regular basis again, I want to do it with Cathe.

I have a lot of the older workouts on videotape and have about wore some of them out. I think I'm going to go for the gusto and order one of her bundles to get some of the ones I don't have plus replace my old VHS format. Luckily, I have a hubby who humors me and doesn't mind me spending money on what I want.

Cardio Kicks is one I haven't done before, but I'll look forward to it now when I get my new DVDs. I think I'll wait until next month so my credit card can recover from preordering STS.

Happy workouts everyone!

Tammy :)

What is a hrm and accitrainer? I would love to know which of my workouts are high calorie burners.

You know I was totally impressed with how much I felt this workout in my abs! I was surprised! It was great -- I love the 4DS kickbox one too, but my favorite Kickbox workout is Kick, Punch & Crunch! Love that one!

I was first introduced to Cathe about a year ago -- I was looking for new workouts that challenged me and an internet friend pointed me toward Cathe == I love her so much that I've pretty much quit doing anything else but her. No more Tae Bo, no more Jillian Michaels, I do still do some pilates but I'm totally devoted to Cathe. She ALWAYS challenges me and there is nothing better than finally getting one of her step routines down 100% --

Hi,
An hrm is a heart rate monitor and an accitrainer is a device that you wear when you are working out (you cal also wherewhen you aren't working out) and it records your heart rate, steps taken etc. you download the info onto your computer and log it into accitariner software and you can see your hr over time, peak hr, calories burned per each minute of a workout, total calorie burn and determine if you are in your aerobic and/or anaerobic training zone for each workout. You can follow your hearts recovery rate post workout and see how you are imoroving over time.

Forgot to add that the accitrainer also measures pace during your workouts and uses this in addition to your hr to calculated calories burned. It also measures distance traveled. You enter height, weight and other stats and can follow your progress
workout to workout and follow each workout minute by minute (online after you download the info your trainer has recorded) in terms of hr, calories burned, pace etc. You can also record other items such as diet etc. There is also a sleep log and you can wear the accitariner at night to see how many times you awaken during the night.
