Cardio & GS Weights

Well, I'm trying a new one out. I remember doing the GS one week and instead of doing as is, I alternated between one set for back and one set for chest and I didn't have to break as much and was able to lift heavier. I also want to fit in all three CM workouts this week. I'm finding that the more I do them the more I feel them (in a good way). Here is what I plan on doing this week:
M: Imax 3 premix 1-5(giving it my all since it's only 5 itervals....not conserving any energy here at all)/GS Bi's & Tri's(alternating between muscle groups)/CM #1
T: Kickboxing mish mosh or choice along with the leg drills from KM
W: Imax 3 premix 6-10)(again no conservation of energy here)/GS Chest & Back (alternating between muscle groups)/CM #2
TH: LM WU & Blasts only/SS Lower Body Blast/PLB Stability Ball only
F: Minimum of 60 min. of cardio/GS Shoulders
S: Cardio/CM #3
I may rest from working out on Friday if we go out so that would push Friday's workout to Saturday and Saturday's workout to Sunday. I will post each day's times so I have a record of how long each workout takes. I will also add in yoga or a SM segment as I feel the need and as I have time. I may use the Pyramid workouts instead of the GS and see how heavy I can go on those since I'm alternating between muscle groups. What to do....what to do....

Well, Monday's workout took me 1 hour and 44 min. I did Imax 3 premix Intervals 1-5 minus the stretch. I went right into GS Bi's & Tri's alternating muscle groups and increased my weights again on a lot of the exercises(37.5 lb. BB for bi's dropping to 35 lb. for last 2 reps)! My arms were totally fatigued so I had to do the stretch from BSB before moving on to CM #1 then going back to Imax 3 for the stretch. I had a lot of energy tonight and it actually went by fast. If I belonged to a gym I would have spent at least this amount of time with driving so...that's how I rationalize it anyway.

I just finished KM Low Impact Kickbox Premix. My total workout time was 58 min. It was not the best cardio workout...I just couldn't get my heart rate up too much with this one but that's o.k. b/c tomorrow I do another Imax premix. As always the leg drills are tough and I do enjoy the stretch from KM.

I'm resting today...got home late and going to mom's house for dinner. Eating is not going well, at all. I've GOT to stick with planned snacks and cut out a lot of sweets. That is my place to start but I keep starting and stopping. I wil pick up with Wednesday's workout tomorrow. At least I'm exercising regularly.

I did Wednesday's workout yesterday subbing in Sara Ivanhoe's 20 min. Makeover Flat Abs for CM #2. The workout took me 1 hr. 43 min. These workouts are too long. I will finish what I started but I will probably begin one of Fitnessfreak366's rotations next. week. I DO like alternating between Bi's and Tr's' in one workout and Chest & Back in one workout.

I rested yesterday. I wanted to get in a long cardio today. I did LM through the CD then PLB calves only with the little bit of stretching that follows that then I alternated GS shoulders with the floor work from PLB. I really loved doing this. I was able to increase my weights with GS shoulders b/c of the rest when I went to the floor for PLB. I was also pleased with my ability to eek out every last rep for the PLB floor work with perfect form b/c of the short rest when I went to do a set for shoulders. I could do all of the stability ball work from PLB before but b/c my legs were so tired I felt like I was sometimes barely eeking the reps out, if that makes sense. Several days of this rotation were too long, but I've learned that I like alternating body parts when working on strength. So next time I will alternate weight days with cardio days to decrease the actual daily workout time. I finished with the stretch from LM. I hope to do cardio and core tomorrow. I really enjoyed today's workout and feel great!
