Cardio Coach Anyone?

I am loving the treadmill ladies, but wonder if anyone here has used Cardio Coach. I remember Francine bringing it up a while back and didn't know if this turned out to be a good thing. Pros? Cons?

Hi Dani! I love Cardio Coach for the same reasons I love Cathe. I really need the direction and motivation. If I just hope on a bike and listen to music I do not push myself, I just cruise along at a nice comfy pace and do nothing at all to improve my heart. Sean, just like Coach Troy in Spinnervals, keeps you aware of exactly what you should be doing, where that heart rate should be, and at the same time cheers you on....in a genuine manner. I am the type that needs the cheering and the structure. The time spent on the bike flys by and when I am done I know I got a good workout.....and the calorie count is always better when I use Cardio Coach. The only downside I can see is the music, I don't mind it.....but it may not be everybodys choice. I only have Vol 2, but he does have a really great sale going on in case you are interested, and of course, you can listen online to all the volumes. Hope that helps a little, Dani.
Take care,
Donna.

Oh Sean O'Malley is the BOMB!!!! I had just started jogging this summer & he's so motivating & the music rocks too! I started w/Volume 3 and then bumped it up to Vol. 4. That one really gets your heart pumping. Try it you won't be disappointed. Kathy:D

I downloaded the free #2, and tried it last night. I liked it a lot. Should I even bother with #1?

If you had to pick a favorite, is there one or should I just start trying them? I don't know how the music differs, and I can see that the challenge will change on each one but are they doable? I am new to running and I could not believe that I actually did it yesterday.

Is it my imagination, or is running on a treadmill easier? I don't know why, but I actually had fun. Something about all those numbers in front of you to help with the motivation. I had the heart rate going, the calories burning, and the distance flying!

Here's the sale:

5 CD for the price of 3.

You can download Vol 2 mp3 for free:

I'm still on the fence about Cardio Coach (I tried to use it running outdoors) so I'm glad I got the free download.

However, after Oct 21, the mp3 price will be the SAME as the CDs, unless you are a 'previous' customer -- you'll be grand-fathered in. They only have the instrumental version in the mp3.

Hey Dani, I LOVE CC and have all 5 volumes. Coach Sean has completely transformed my relationship with my elliptical trainer and treadmill. :) I've just now been released from weeks of physical therapy for my knees, which I injured after the Road Trip this summer, and Cardio Coach has made it possible for me to build cardio and some good endurance-style leg work back into my schedule slowly and v-e-r-y safely using my no-impact and low-impact equipment. Thanks to CC I haven't been tempted to do too many of my favorite Cathe tapes before I was re-conditioned and ready for them!

The CC tapes have been kicking my butt, too -- they are NOT easy and you can really make them as tough as you want to. Last weekend I combined all of Volume 4 with the challenges from Volume 5 for a total of almost 80 minutes of HIIT, and it was a killer cardio workout!

My faves are Volumes 4 and 5, but I really like them all. In Volume 1, Coach Sean does a lot more talking than he does in the other 4 -- I guess he's fine-tuning the process as he creates them. I like the fact that they've gotten progressively longer, so the earlier ones are a nice add-on to other cardio.

And I happen to fall into the camp that really likes the music.

Plus, the icing on the cake to me is that Coach Sean is the male equivalent of Cathe -- just the nicest, nicest person, and so knowledgeable and responsive. It's a pleasure to help him grow his exciting business because he seems very deserving.

Enjoy!!!

Thanks Kathy and everyone! I took the plunge and got them before the price went up. Nice timing I think. I looked at these ages ago when Francine first introduced them but I didn't really think I would use them outdoors. Since I got my new treadmill, which I love, I think it all fits together now.

It really does seem like you can go further and longer than just plain music for some reason. I like that.

I have a heart rate moniter with my treadmill and I love that too. The heart rate zone is deceptive. I am really figuring out the PERCEIVED exertion is different than the actual target heart rate, and it is in my favor for some reason. I feel like I could work a bit harder but I am way beyond what level I should be. My plan is to take it slow and just get used to it. I really want my recovery time to be better as well....this is all just so much fun!

Highly recommend a treadmill if anyone is on the fence! I am the gadget queen and to have all those numbers telling me what is happening is great!

One more thing, he really does seem nice doesn't he? Not too much talking and comes across sincere without being all Yoga-ish. Not exactly what I mean by that made up description, but I guess he doesn't come across too preachy, or too motivational, but just the right balance of that stuff.

He is cute too! Too bad you can't watch him;-)

RE: Cardio Coach Anyone? love it

I LOVE CC WORKOUTS They are the best Cardio workouts I have ever purchased. I have had them for about 4 weeks now. I have volume 2-5.
The music rocks and he keeps me motivated through each workout. He is the best coach I have ever had. I have been doing the workouts on my
tredmill. His notes during and after the workout seem to be what I needed to hear for the day.

I eamiled him with a quetion and he answered within 2 days.

He is the best. I hope they will come out with volume 6 soon:)

I am having great results running on the treadmill. I also tried volume 3 a week ago on my bike it was great!!

I still do Cathe kickboxing and weights but I am doing CC at least 3 times a week for kick bu-- cardio

Deb:)

Try it outside

I actually prefer using CC outside rather than in. Obviously I can't run up a hill at the right time, so it's all just increasing my speed. I've run 4 and 6 mile course records with Sean!
