Cardio Coach #4

Ooohhhhh, life is so good!!! I just finished Cardio Coach #4 and I am totally drenched. I love these workouts they are absolutely wonderful. I am sweating after about 5 minutes. This was the first time that I did this one so I was wondering what to expect, now I know - AN AWESOME WORKOUT!!!

At the very beginning you start off with some nice music to get warmed up with and your walking along and after about what seems like 5 seconds he says "OK - enough warm up let's get to work!" I LOVE IT!!! I burst out laughing and thought, this is my kind of workout.

Anyway - just had to share and I hope the rest of you had great workouts today, too.

Yeah, I use my treadmill. I did #1 using a stationary bike for one of the intervals, but that didn't do much for me so I stay on the treadmill now. I just bought a CD player and belt, too, but when I'm doing the hard runs it skips so I wonder if I need a better one???

I love Cardio Coach. I have vol. 1-5. I've been using my stationary bike (had to dust that baby off!) mostly. I've also used them outside doing a walk/run workout. They are all good, I don't think I have a favorite.

I have CC # 5 and love it and now want #4 as well! Is it as challenging as #5? I use a treadmill as well.
I wish I new how to do the download version, it would be so easier!
But I love having the CD case too!

CC#4 is shorter than CC#5 but very challenging. Very short recovery time during the challenges. Makes you huff and puff the whole time.

I am interested in this for my Treadmill. Where can you get them are they cd or dvd/video? Are they in stores? What are the price ranges?

My goodness would you like to run for me too?

THANK YOU!

This thread caught my attention because I have a huge treadmill in my basement that my brother in law gave me, and I rarely use it, but would like to! I just getso bored walking. This Cardio Coach you guys are talking about sounds like something I need to make working out on my treadmill more interesting! I will definately look into it.

>Has anyone done these on an elliptical machine?

I haven't, but they are adaptable to anything that you can change speed and resistance on.

I used mine on my rebounder (for running and sprinting) and Transfirmer (for hill climbs).

I really like them (except for the "predator/prey" imagery in volume 5).

Can't wait for volume 6! (There is a volume 6 out, or upcoming, by someone other than Coach Sean, a woman, but from the clips on the site, I don't like her voice and the teaching style of the short excerpt I heard).

Could you use these for running outdoors? I like the idea of these, but only run outside - no gerbil track for me. :)

LOL! I got the new vol. 1 in the mp3 version and it took me 3 days to download!!! (I had to copy to a disc on one computer(window98 won't work with these with an ipod) and then use a laptop to download to my ipod) I downloaded it a bizillion times and it would'nt put all the tracks on or they got jumbled and I couldn't get the tracks in the right order, etc. etc.. I FINALLY figured out that I needed to re-download to a new disc and start all over. My family hated me for a whole weekend as I was transfixed to the computer with steam coming out the ears!

All the other Volumes I got on the yaya swap in the CD version.
Oh! I did get voume 2 in MP3 format, but my daughter put that one on my ipod, took all but a few min. for her.

Gayle I use these on my elliptical - and I have NEVER gotten a better workout on that machine. Didn't know I could sweat so much on my elliptical. I also find it more helpful to wear my HRM strap when doing the CC on the ellitical, more so than on the treadmill. Now go have some fun!

You can definitely do them outside. However, you will need to modify because the programs have both hill climbs and sprints. What I do is modify all of the hill climbs and turn them into sprints. It works really well and the time flies by.

What's the difference (besides length) between the 5? I have 3 and enjoy it very much. But I'm not certain I should buy the others.
