Cardio Coach #4

The intervals are different in all of them. Some are longer - some faster, etc. And, like you said, the length is different. But, you could do what he suggestions in some of the to rewind back and do an interval twice to make a longer workout.

That's what I was planning to do once I went to the website and checked them out. About 4 minutes into the process, I ordered 2,3,4 & 5! Now that spring is finally (almost!) on its way, I'll be hitting the roads again and these seem just GREAT!

Glad to hear that they work just as well for outdoor runners!

Hi Christine

I don't know about Volumes 1 or 5, but #2 is all hill intervals and #4 has longer time periods being in zone 3 achieved through speed or hills. I do Volume 4 for days when I want to go all out. Whereas Volume 3 I use on "lighter days" and sometimes tack on Volume 2.

I have been waiting forever for CK sales to carry Volume 5. Oh well, I guess I'm saving money.

Ha! The last time I opened post about Cardio Coach I bought Vol. 3 & 4 by the end of the day. Its been worth it!

I have done Vol 3 about 4x in the last week & love it! They are great inside or outside (just run faster on the hill climbs portion). I have listened to Vol. 4 about 3x while driving and I am ready to take on the challenge tomorrow.

1 word of advice: Check out Coach Sean on Cardio Coach so you can visualize his hot bod next to you while working out..really, it helps a lot with motivation. Thanks to his coaching I am running faster & longer than ever! Yippee!

Okay, okay, okay... I have to download #4. I like 3 a lot but it's too short.

For anyone who is looking to download these workouts, keep in mind that they have a good 5 minute warm up, and cool down, and another 3 minute section for cool down PLUS a stretch. So, when it's says there's 45 minutes, it's actually 30 minutes of work. I tend to skip the second cool down - my hr is already in the zone after the first one. Just an FYI. I'll download CC4 on Monday.

I did this on an elliptical - and I usually cannot get my hr up - today I had it at 161 which is very high for me (I hit that on the Kick Max Blasts, but hardly ever any other time). And it's fun. I think what makes these so fun is that you can do the same workout on a bike, a treadmill and an elliptical and they all feel completely different.

>Has anyone done these on an elliptical machine?

I use the cardio coach on both a treadmill and an elliptical. They are fun on both. For the hills, I just up the tension. I can handle much more resistance on the elliptical now that I have been using cardio coach. I only have cc#2 but really like it. Will eventually get more.
