Cardio Add-on's

Hi all - I have a question in regard to splitting up videos. I did MIS last week in its' entirety, but I really prefer to split the weights portion, i.e. lower body one day, upper body the next.

Today I did MIS lower and followed up with CTX All Step (cardio portion only). Tomorrow I will do MIS upper body and would like to add a cardio portion from another tape to this one. I have all of Cathe's cardio tapes, but have not done all of them as of yet, so I'm asking to get your advice. I could do any of the CTX cardios (except for Power Circuit because this one has lower body), Body Max's step portion, but since I have yet to do MIC, can a portion of this be added as well? Or are there any others I'm missing? TIA! :)

Any and all of Cathe's cardios make a great add on, it really just depends on how much time you have for your workout. If you have at least 90 min-2hrs., you can do one of her longer 60 min cardios + your weight workout, but if you're crunched for time, a 30 min CTX cardio + your weight work would cut the time by 30 minutes. It's really up to you and how much time/energy you chose to put into it. I usually try to stagger it a bit. Some days I go for the full hour of cardio + weight training, which will usually be a 2 hour workout, and some days I'll do a CTX cardio + weights. It's really just a matter of your own personal taste.

I did BodyMax the other day in it's entirety, no pauses and although I thought it was great, I think I'll reserve that intensity for 1x a week.

I was basically looking for segments of cardio that are of a shorter duration that I could tack onto a segment of strength training. I guess the portions/segments of CTX cardio, MIC (step portion or hi/lo), BodyMax (stepping segment) will work well for what I want. Thanks!
 
I like to add half of Step Fit to a weight workout. It isn't as intense as some, but I am usually worn out by then. Or the 2nd and 3rd parts of Step Works add up to 25 minutes. And the Cardio Kicks kickbox portion before the power drills is 24 minutes. My favorite add on is the Body Max step segment. I can't think of anything else. Have Fun!
 
jillybean, those are all great suggestions and exactly what I'm looking for! Having variety helps to alleviate boredom, and I think that if I rotate what you've suggested around with different weight segments there will be a lot to choose from - thanks! :)
