Another stability ball poll, just for fun.

Your choices in this poll have to do with the hamstring exercises in PLB floorwork -- the one-legged ones that Brenda does on the mini-step (they're also in Strong Legs & Abs, done on the mini-step by the whole crew.)

I must confess that I hate this move. Even on the mini step I find that my foot cramps from keeping my toes elevated, my heel starts to slide around and they're just %^#% hard to do! They never seem to get any easier no matter how I adjust myself!

FYI, in case you haven't guessed this, I fall into categories 1, 4 (on a good day!) and 6. :)

RE: Can you do the one-legged hamstring raises on the stability ball that Cathe and her insanely smiling crew do in PLB? Can you do them on the mini-step? Do ya like doing them???

Kathy,

This is always a difficult, but worthwhile move in PS. I never can do them all, but whatever I do usually winds up easing my (ever present) lower back pain a bit.

But on the stability ball?? I must admit, the wisdom of doing these on the stability ball does escape me, except that the point is probably to make them even more difficult, which probably means you can be done with them sooner because you don't need as many? :)

I voted for the category where you do a few and then fall off.

I'm working on it! I can do a few thn my leg feels like it might fall off! Cathe is an evil, evil woman!

Kathy-
Please forgive me for the treble post! There were problems with the site last night.

I can do them as well but my leg definitely feels like it is going to fall off too! What a burner of an exercise! Ouch!!

I started doing them, but I just feel there are too many potential problems with form using the stability ball - I was feeling them in all kinds of strange places as the ball moved around, so I think I'll opt for doing them off of the fanny lifter next time around.

My ball doesn't seem to get me in that nice 90 degree knee position.
I can see myself hurting myself on these things, so I think I'll modify.
