Can;t budge that fat !

I'm 55 years old, I wear a size 10-12. I really don't look my age and I don't dress like I'm 55. I would love to get rid of this layer of fat also called a muffin top when you wear low rise jeans. I also can't seem toget rid of the fat on my back. I recently upped my workouts to six days alternating step and weights. I do watch what I eat most of the time. Any suggestions?

Don't have the answer yet. I'm 48 and wear a size 5 and don't have the jean problem but I have the back fat under the bra problem.
Thanks for posting this question and I will be watching for suggestions for the back too!
It seems to be a hard place to work.

Most of us can relate to what you are saying. I also seem to store most of my fat in my lower back too. Sounds like your workouts are fine. Eating every 2-4 hours? Maybe try increasing your weights while still getting in some cardio. I try to eat my last meal around 5pm and that seems to make a huge difference for me, but that is just me. I am still learning and trying to tweek it just right, but eating later seems to be a big no no for most of us, JMHO.

Any suggestions on how to "tighten up my diet". I work at night and I work in a restaurant, so sometimes it's hard to be good. I usually eat salad at work if I eat late or I have a protien shake or bar.
