Can I use floor instead of the step for weight lifting?

Cathe,

I'm traveling in a camper this year and not enough space to put my equipment. Had to leave out the steps. When I do weight lifting, can I do them on the floor instead of on a step bench? Exercises such as bench press, flies and the like.

Yes Janie! Just don't let your upper arms rest on the floor on bench presses and flys. Go down to where you feel your upper arm hairs graze the floor and go back up. Also, if you are lifting heavy weight for bench press, have a person hand the weight to you once you are in position (also have them remove the weight from your hands when you are done) so that you don't strain your shoulders.

Cathe,

Thank you, I'll make sure I have a spotter.
