Calories consumed on Turkey Day! ~WoW~

Well, I'm happy it's not Thanksgiving here then! I'll be doing Satan's Mish Mosh tonight and thinking about all of you 4500 calories people;)

Thanks for the interesting read! For me it's not so much stuffing myself (I can't stand the feeling of being too full, even on Thanksgiving) as it is eating processed foods (crackers etc.), rich foods, that sort of thing. But, I did an hour of strength followed by an hour of cardio, just in case :D

Wow! That is a lot of calories! I was debating whether or not to do a 2nd workout - now I think I probably will! Especially since I had my Thanksgiving meal for lunch including banana pudding and pumpkin pie! }( IMAX2, here I come!!!

man i must have doubled that number LOL. but i ate mostly steamed veggies and breastmeat then made up for it in pie. no bread and a few tbsp of sweet potatoes. so it could be worse

Puh-Leeze! There ain't no work out coming out of this stuffed bird today!

I love Thanksgiving because there really are a whole lot of things I am truly grateful for. I have had tight times & I have had more plentiful times, so this is a great time for me to celebrate all those occasions of my life. I enjoy(and hate) all the hard work this entails and I do it every year. I make a concerted effort to spend a lot of time with my family (cats & dogs, too) and make it as special as for them as this is for me. I end up enjoying it more each year. I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday this year.

I did do Power 90X chest, tris & shoulders yesterday, and I'm feeling it today, so I guess, a rest day is not a total loss.

One day out of the entire year will not undo all the hard work we all do the rest of the year. Forgive me for being the lone dissenter here, but life is to be enjoyed. I do enough obsessing every day about what I eat and what might be in the food, and what might not be in the food, and did I workout enough, and could I have pushed myself just a little bit harder that morning, and blah ... blah ... blah. Somehow I don't believe on my deathbed I'll be thinking about how many calories I ate or how many workouts I did. I could be wrong ... but I really don't believe that's what will be foremost in my thoughts. It's only one day, and I work very hard the rest of the year to eat right and workout. I enjoyed my Thanksgiving meal, and I will never feel guilty about it or regret having eaten it.

Carol, you must not have gotten the gist of my post. You are NOT the lone dissenter here.

Forgive me as I groan and roll some more.

Yea!!! I may not be able to move, but I do so agree...burp..

Absolutely no regrets or explanations here,
Robin:) :) :)

Sorry Marla! I totally missed your point! So glad to know others feel the same way.

Now where did I put that pumpkin pie ...

Hi all,

We had a delicious meal. I stuffed myself and I loved every bite. I brought home a few left overs, too! No guilt here.

Michele:)

I don't think there is a calorie count that high for what I ate yesterday. Even eating at McDonalds may have been safer on the thighs. Cranberry-Apple Cobbler. Oh dear.

I didn't put that article out there to upset anyone. I just wanted to share something that I found interesting. I by all means didn't want to hinder nor ruin someones Thanksgiving feast. People, such as myself, tend to over stuff on Thanksgiving because there is such a large variety....and a lot of grazing afterwards. And Yeah...I enjoyed every single bite, lick, and finger scrap off of my plate.

Now....should I see if I can surface an interesting article on how much the typical person spends on sales at the stores the day following Thanksgiving. (insert forhead scratch here)
