Calories burned?

This may seem like a silly question, but I've been really curious now for a couple of years. How many calroies do you figure an average women will burn doing your step workouts, or IMAX 2? Your workouts seem a lot more intense than most out there, so I don't feel like I can go by what the calorie calculators say on the web with Step aerobics. Not that it matters, but I'm just really curious.
 
I wear a heart rate monitor. You program your age, weight height into it, and depending upon the kind you have, it will either automatically read your heart rate at certain times, or you take your heart rate (MIO) by pushing two little buttons for a couple of seconds.

I love it, so motivational to know what you have burned :)
 
Not all of them do, so if you are going to buy one if this is a feature you want, make sure that the one you get does it. Polar A5 comes highly recommended, I have a MIO, no chest strap, but I think that the A5 would be better :)
 
I have a polar A5 and love it.

Also take into consideration different size people and different step heights burn different amounts of calories. On a Cathe step workout I usually burn around 425 - 550 calories. I am 5'4" and weight 124 and usually have my step at 4" - 6". HTH.
