Hi Donna,
Just wanted to let you know that I took your great advice and have been using your method for push-ups over the last 3 days and am already up to 6 in a row! Yippee!
Sorry - getting a little over-excited, but I just knew you would know how I feel!!
Kaz.

YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!

And yes I DO know how excited you are :) It'll get easier and easier and before you know it, you're cranking them out right along with Cathe! :)
I'm so glad it's working for you,
Donna

Me, too!

I could already do 6 "man" push-ups when I read this thread. Having INCREDIBLE arms has been one of my "top" goals since I started working out 2 years ago. I decided to give this a try, too. I have done 3 days in a row & 8 "man" push ups. I'm hoping to do 9 tonight! MAN DOES IT HURT!!!!

Thanks for the advise, getnfit@38. Good luck, Kaz.

RE: Me, too!

Hi Willowe, could you share with me where I might find getnfit@38's advice on push-ups??? I usually skip 'em. I just CANNOT do them without killing my wrists, so any new technique, I'm willing to try. Thanks in advance. Robin.

RE: Me, too!

Hi Robin, it's really simple, just literally take them 1 at a time! However many you can do with good form, only if just 1, do it, and then the next time you do pushups, add just 1. Before you know it, by adding just 1 each time you do them, whether once/week or twice/week, you'll gain the strength and stamina for them and never realized how fast they added up.
As my daddy use to say, "never mind slow progress~slow and steady wins the race!"
