Cathlete
I've been slacking off the past couple of months. But I need to shape up for a sleeveless dress and a Christmas party on December 14th.

What combo has worked the best for you to development max definition in a short period of time? I don't have newer Cathes but I do have: Pure Strength, Slow and Heavy and Pyramid Upper Body.

I also need to lose about 5 - 7 pounds.

Please give me your advice!!!

Thanks!

P90X (sorry, I know this is for discussing Cathe's workouts, so I won't say anything more about it!)

If you want ideas for 'other-than-Cathe' workouts, you might want to repost this in Open Discussion.

For weight loss, incorporating an interval workout 1-2 times a week is great.

Hey, you grabbed my attention with that 40-something post! I'm 44 and never giving up on SOME DAY looking the way I want. It's real hard to get there, trust me!

Anywho, as Cathe said in one of her videos, if you want good arms, you HAVE to do pushups. And, it is true. They are hard, but attempting whatever modification you can do is well worth it. I've been trying to do Cathe's new push on the step (the long way on the step). Boy, are they hard. I can only do a few right now.

I also feel working chest and back really has helped me shape up a little better. Then again, abs and triceps too! ha ha. have to do it all. Now,I never got the slow and heavy series because I know I just can't do heavy weights without injuring myself, but the Pyramid upper body tape works very good, and I really like Muscle Max.

As far as losing the weight, I really am struggling still with this. But, "they" always say cardio or cardio circuits should work well. Plus, really, really watch your food intake - stick to fresh/frozen fruits/veggies. I would stay away from any cookies, cakes, or fattening breads(white flour). Anybody else have other suggestions, I'm always open to suggestions too.
Take Care!
