Calculating Cals burned in BBL

Hi there,

How do you count your calories for BBL? The cardio I get, but those torturous standing moves I'm not sure - same with the ab work?

Thanks!
Pam

Many people who are counting the calories burned in workouts (I don't, and I don't particularly care :D) use a heart-rate monitor.

IMO, the balance and functional moves in BBL burn more calories than one would expect.

Thank you Kathryn!! These workouts sneak up on you and I find I'm hobbling down the stairs in the morning owe owe, for each step!! ... okay, even hobbling just to the bathroom! It's a "good hurt"... rrrrright!

I use my HRM and was pleasantly surprised to see that Bum Bum burned 296 calories.

Today I paired up Cardio Axe and High & Tight for a total burn in the 470s. And oh yeah, I know I'm gonna be feelin' that band work in the morning! :p

Hi Kathryn,

I was shocked at how this harmless looking piece of rubber could bring tears to my eyes!! Actually, it kind of bothered my knee, so I took it off and found that "just" doing the moves works it quite effectively. I did boot-camp this morning and will work my bum-bum this afternoon (sans that evil yellow band!)

Pam

Yep High/Tight band workout hurts! The ankle weights not so much for me. I had a red band which broke, so I did it with a green band. I do need to find a yellow band. Sculpt really gets my heart rate up though. Cpmpound movements do it everytime!

Try putting the band above your knees rather than around your ankles: it is much easier on the knees.;)

(And is it just me....or does "High and Tight" sound like a workout for someone who likes to PAR-TAY!? :p)

Thank you for the above the knee idea ,Kathryn! I honestly would not have thought of it. You always have such great advice!
