Forgive me. I'm just out of breath. I give Cardio Kicks my thumbs up. I just tried it tonight. I don't know why I put it off for so long. Maybe it's because I was turned off to kickboxing by Tae-Bo.

But Cathe has done it. Unlike with Tae-Bo I didn't once feel like I was going to lose my balance and break my face, I didn't get bored with the moves or the music and my heartrate got up sky high like it always does with Cathe.

Thanks, Cathe for continuing to add variety and mega-intensity to my video workout library!
 
Here's a small question though...

I too absolutely LOVE Cardio Kicks....EXCEPT you know the part where you kind of "skip" up and then you kind of "sashay" back...Well, I just don't have enough room for all that. I've been debating what to substitute in place for those moves.

As for now, I've been "skipping" up and then doing jumping jacks back. ???

But I have to say I love the part where Cathe calls the men up front....gets me really pumped!!!

Here are a couple of more options:

1) Alternating Scoops in place and then do a slide to the right and a slide to the left

2) 2 plyo jacks (in place of scoops) and 4 regular jacks in place a sashays

3) 4 jacks and 8 jump ropes

4) 4 scoops in place then 4 dynamic calf pumps in place.

Tania, an idea about sashays

You might also try doing a Pendulum in place, and really put some power in it. You can also swing your arms in a pendulum motion above your head. (Some step instructors also call this move a tick tock) This is a little less taxing that full jumping jacks and may be a fun alternative. :D
