Hey cabbers
I just got back from the full day of errands. Maggies appt. went well. Get this....kinda gross, but I'm letting it rip anyways. She did the doggie butt to the carpet scrape today just before we left and I mentioned it to the vet, so he immediately says "oh" and puts on gloves. My little darling had full anal glands which he "relieved"/expressed and boy did it stink!

He told me that dogs have these glands just like skunks do. Back in the day when dogs roamed in packs, the smell would warn off other dogs from an area. Who knew? Well, you probably all did, but I had no idea. So she's all up on her shots and we set up an appt. for Nov. for her spay. They don't keep them overnight anymore....wooohoooo! I'll take her in at 8:30 and then pick her up late in the afternoon.

The staff there just loved her. I was wondering if I was gonna be able to get her home. So was so funny. She is a hugger and a kisser and she just schmoozed them all. What a ham! *lol*
Laura - It wasn't MY bug!!! *lol* I did not have the sore throat or coughing at all. You got a different one. Whew! Glad it wasn't mine, but it sounds nasty just the same. So sorry about that. I actually saw a segment on the today show today that said if you have kids you are much more likely to get hit by these types of bugs, so I think your line of thinking regarding where it came from is probably right on.

It's probably not much comfort knowing that though.
I did follow your advice yesterday. I did not work out and did laundry instead. I'm glad I did that since I feel great today!
I laughed at your post yesterday about running over the snakes...over and over. LOL! I'd do the exact same thing!!! So glad we don't have poisonous snakes up here.
Did you get the Tony DOMS today?
Maybe you'll feel better by Monday and we can all start then??
For now just take it easy and concentrate on getting well! Sending healing vibes////\\\\\\
Wendy - I feel great today.....thanks for asking. It was a beautiful day to do errands. Actually after the vet, I hit several stores looking for siding, doors, windows, and cultured stone. I think I hit the jackpot on the window store. I met a really nice guy there, who as it turns out graduated with DH's brother, that has lots of great deals on doors and windows. He is also re-doing his house now too and gave me a ton of tips on siding, stone, etc. He was a great help! I'll have to take before and after pics, even though I am terribly embarrassed about the current state of the house.

So back to the UB today huh? I love how you layer DOMS on top of DOMS.
Hey Diana - Hope you are having a great Thrusday. What are your weekend plans?
Oh, I found out yesterday that the boys get out of school at noon on Friday, which means we can leave to go camping earlier. That is awesome since we thought we were going to hit it a bit late. We should be good to go now.
Do you all think a 5K would be beyond me? Be honest. When I ran last week it was a 50 minute run and between 4-5 miles, but I'm not sure on the milage since I have never measured it. It's in a couple of weeks in a nearby town. I found out about it on the site Di suggested a while back and I'm really tempted to give it a try just to see how I like it. What do you all think??
I'll BBL. I think I'm gonna give GS BSB a shot....
