Good Morning Friends. :)

The jewelery party was nice. It was a very small group of women as alot of people never got back to my friend about it and also never showed up. She was bummed about that but the people that showed, DID buy so I'm sure it wasn't too bad. I know I spent a nice little wad there as I bought Christmas gifts for both of my SILs and my MIL. There were lots of great pieces. I saw this one gorgeous bracelet immediately but it blew the budget for gift gifting...including to MYSELF!:p I ended up writing down the info and will give it to DH as a Christmas gift idea instead!}(

I have a TM run or Legs and Back on tap for today. Not sure which I will do yet. The one I do NOT do is on deck for tomorrow though.

Cathy: Thanks for the smiley websites!http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Happy/hello-104.gif ITA with Diana about HSTA. It's an AWESOME circuit work out...TOUGH....but the choreo is nothing to worry about. I think you'll enjoy it! Your rotation looks good! Can't wait to hear how it works for you!

Hi ladies,

Well I'm up early this Saturday morning! I've started laundry and now I'm sippin' my coffee. I should be starting my w/o soon but my quads are killin' me. Not sure if its from all the sprinting, jumping and lunges from bootcamp the last 2 days, or those one legged squats from LIC yesterday.

We are taking MIL out to dinner for her birthday since we are all feeling much better. Jerod has a football game this morning and I really hope they win. They've lost their last 2 games so I think they are due for a win.

DH went to look at a truck this morning. I thought he was getting the '07 Silverado but I guess he changed his mind. DH and DS left a while ago to go look at an '06.

Wendy-the jewelry party sounds like it was a success. I've just started my holiday purchasing as well. Now DH will know just what to get you!

Cathe-I think your rotation looks great. I see you have designated yoga/stretch days included which is great.

BBL to see what everyone else is up to.

Diana

Good morning Cabbers

I'm feeling lively this morning after the initial crankiness of the morning has been washed away with the java.}( I went to bed at 10:30 and didn't get up until 9:15. It felt great to sleep in!

Today I think I have KM on tap. I have the energy to do it so I think I'm gonna knock it out today so I have tomorrow all to myself.:)

Diana - Have fun at Jarods game today. Crossing my fingers for a win. Cody has the same record too so I hope they win their game today as well. We have to have him there at 3:30 for a 6:00 game. I don't know if they want them there to watch the younger group play or what, but that sure does put a huge dent in the day. I guess there will be some shopping on tap for me today as well.
You CANT throw Cathe w/o away! Isn't that a sin or something?:7 Of the ones you listed, I don't have MIC, LL, KB, and CK. I'd be happy to pay you for them and shipping too if you want to get rid of them. As for the others, I'd take them and give them to BF if you don't want them anymore and at least pay for the shipping if you don't want to sell them on ebay. Just - don't throw them away.
Thank you so much for the HIIT articles! I just glanced at one and it looks interesting. I should print them off and take them with me this afternoon so I have some constructive reading materials for this afternoon.

Laura - Thanks for the advice on B. Baptiste. I'm gonna try one of his and one of Kests. I just dread doing yogaX once per week.x( I definitely need a change of pace for yoga.
How'd date night go? What did DH say about the new do?

Wendy - Great job with BF training! So, hows the other friend doing? Have you convinced BF to be consistent with w/o?
X-mas shopping? Ummmmmm..no...I haven't gotten there yet, but I do have a list of my own started....does that count?:7 I have a TM and a ipod nano on my list so far.

Cathy - Looks like you have a leg torture routine going on. It should be a tough one. Maybe put in a couple of upper body w/o? Although if you are targeting the legs....this should definitely do the trick. I'd love to hear about your results after it's completed.
Awwwwwww.....now you got me wanting HSTA really bad!}(
OK - I'm gonna try one of the cool smilies from the site you posted....let's see if this works.....for my fellow Cabbers.

Off to do whatever w/o I have on tap for today.

Hi Nancy!!

Have a teriffic Saturday girls

Angie

Good Afternoon.

Well I headed to the gym and as murphy's law would have it, in a gym that is PACKED on a saturday morning, one of the ONLY TM's available was one of only two in the section where I prefer to do Tread n Tush!!! I couldn't pass up this opportunity so I wasted no time and got right to it! I added light weights through out and also tacked on 100 extra walking lunges at the very end. I am hoping to be feeling it tomorrow!}(

Diana: Nothin' like OUCHEE quads to make the next work out a toughie! Why not just do upper body today and give the ol' legs a break? Have fun at dinner tonight. I'll be rooting for Jerod and his team!:) Did you DH come home with a new truck? My DH is buying a used Dodge Dakota 4X4 for $1800.00 this weekend. It's big and black and MEAN! LOLOL We are keeping it as a 3rd car. He can't afford to drive it back and forth to work every day cause it's a gas guzzler and we also can't put DS' car seat in it so we are not giving up DH's current vehicle. The pick up will come in very handy though and for the little money it costs to buy and insure, it's well worth it.

Angie: Love your smiley at the end of your post. ;) Hope you enjoyed KM. What else is on tap for your day? Anything interesting? My BF is staying motivated to work out with me twice per week. She says she is going to try to get in a day or 2 of cardio in addition to the training but I'm not really sure how much she has done so far. I'll find out on Monday when I go up there to train them.

Well, I'm sucking back the last of my Dunkin java that I picked up on the way home from the gym. :9 DS is due for his nap very soon and then perhaps I will finally make those darned cover letters I've been stalling on!!!!:7

BBL!

Hey girls!

Wendy :: glad you enjoyed the jewelry party and knocked out some of your X-mas shopping already…Thanks for the feedback on HSTA and the rotation...Sounds like you *hammered* your lower body today! I think Tread n Tush will be a must-have for winter when some time on the ol' dreadmill's unavoidable...Now get goin' on those cover letters, miss! :)

Diana :: good luck to Jerod’s team today!…yes, a designated yoga/stretch day is something I did when I began the Aug. 04 rotation in June and it has really worked out well. I love working out hard on the weekends and then having Monday be a breather…Enjoy dinner tonight with MIL. Glad everyone’s feeling more up-to-snuff.

Angie :: I think I’m going to begin the new rotation starting on Monday and stop with week 11 of leg torture. So I’m shifting the focus to general fat loss and time-efficient workouts. I am going to lift as heavy as I can during the circuits, and I hope that addresses the u/b sufficiently. Or maybe I should do 1 circuit and 1 u/b endurance workout…??? Hmmm…more to ponder...*lol* about your smiley…And just what is in that bottle, young lady?? ;) :D

Hi Laura and Nancy!

I had class this morning, so I’ll be doing a late afternoon workout – a run + an u/b w/out I still haven’t decided on yet.

Have a great day!!

Cover letters are done! I have 7 or 8 resumes in envelopes, addressed and just waiting for a stamp and off they go! YIKES! *bites nails nervously* I put them in the big manilla mailers as I thought that looked more professional then folding them up and shoving them in a legal envelope. I will bring them to the post office on monday to check postage on them so I know for future reference. I probably only used about half of the gyms I have written down. If I don't get any bites, I will send out the rest in a few weeks. I expect y'all to keep your fingers, toes and eyes crossed for me!!!!:7

Cathy: Tread n Tush is great. It should definately break up the "dread" in treadmill training if you are prone to it. I am just playing with the weights right now to see what weight works best for me. I don't want to go so heavy with the weights that I have to slow down the runs but I am searching for the right combo that will give DOMS!!! }(

Hello again

I thought I would be on my way to the football game by now but Cody told us he had to be there an hour earlier than he really needed to be, so now I have an extra hour to play with. I'm glad we figured this out before we left.

I managed to get the low impact premix on KM done.:) Now tomorrow is rest day.:) I also better pack some healthy snacks for the football game since we owe Cody a dinner at Ponderosa tonight as a belated B-day request. I'm not crazy about their food since they focus more on quantity than quality, but I do like their salad bar and soups. The kids just love to eat there since there is so much to choose from.:9

Wendy - So that TM was just calling out to you huh? Isn't it funny how that happens? So now is it Tony tomorrow or a run?
sorry.gif

Good luck with those cover letters.

Cathy - If you're like me, those rotations really keep you on track. I love knowing that I have a plan and I find that I skimp out less when I have it down on paper. It's hard for me to lift super heavy on circuit w/o b/c the pace is usually faster than I would like for heavy weights. I'm sure you could just lift heavier and go half time....that should work just fine.
Whats in the bottle?? CABs of coarse! :) *lol* Although, it doesn't look like CABs will be in my weekend plan....too much stuff to do.
Today's class was on that project you are working on right? Was it helpful? Did it put some wind into your sails?
How did dinner go last night?

Well, with my down time I went to ebay and bid on a couple of yoga DVD's. I'll know when I get home whether or not I got them. I also got an Osbournes' DVD....as a x-mas gift for a friend of ours that goes to the nascar races with us. He does a great Ozzy impression when he gets into the beer....it is just hilarious! So, I guess I have already been thinking about x-mas.

Angie...

Don't ya just love kids! They forget to tell you those *minor* details like what time an event REALLY starts!? :7 :7 :p I hope you win the yoga dvds you bid on. Which ones were they? I won 2 pairs of Lucky jeans on Ebay recently but I am not totally thrilled with either one of them. They are both the same size as the ones I have but older styles. One pair is okay but the length needs to be taken up if I am going to keep them. The other pair is just awful! They claim to be "low rise" but yet sit basically at my waist and are therefore too tight on me but bag out every where else. YUCK! I will have to put them right back up for sale on ebay or amazon one of these days. You win some you lose some, right? :(
Tread n Tush is a running work out combined with lower body exercise intervals so my lower body and running is done for this week. I will either do an upper body work out tmrw or take a rest day.:)

Wendy :: sorry about the unlucky Lucky jeans. http://www.infohub.com/forums/images/smilies/girl_mad.gif That stinks!...Good job getting the cover letters out. You KNOW we are rooting for you!!!! http://elouai.com/images/yahoo/41.gif http://elouai.com/images/yahoo/41.gif http://elouai.com/images/yahoo/41.gif And I'm banking on it that we'll be cyber-celebrating soon!!

Angie :: yes, I do like rotations...having structure is good, and of course, you see much better results that way. I am amazed at how direction-less my training was pre-X. On the other hand, sometimes I like to be spontaneous and go w/ the mood of the day. As you know, of course, since you see me change up my workouts on a whim fairly frequently...Yes, this class was a support class for the national board certification process. Your chances of achieving certification are greater if you attend some type of class like this. The class does energize me about what I'm doing but it also scares me a little, too - in the good kind of way...Good job with KM ~ I like that premix a lot...Dinner went well...I only indulged in one CAB and ate the Confetti Chicken from the WW menu. Tasty! Up until today (when I feasted on a bagel AND a mini-Danish *just to be polite* at my class), I have been pretty good with eating. But I need to keep this weight loss going. Enjoy Ponderosa tonight ~ at least since you don't *love* it, you won't be tempted to chow down.

I hope I didn't repeat myself...I joined a third check-in this week, and I think it's too much for me. I may have to bow out of the new one.

Hi ladies,

Jerod's team won the football game 18-13. We did score an extra point but they didn't give it to us and we never found out why. They are 2 and 2 now. Jerod had a great game! I am so proud of him.

We went to MIL's favorite Thai restaurant downtown. I had a chicken curry dish, steamed rice and an eggroll.

DH did come home with a new truck, not the one I thought he wanted but another one. It's an '06 Chevy Silverado. It doesn't have an extended cab like the other one and I sure wish it did. I told DH to buy what he wanted since he would be driving it. Now we have to sell his car. He sais he couldn't bring himself to buy the '07. His philosophy is to purchase vehicles 1 or 2 yrs old so you don't end up paying the depreciation. We usually keep our vehicles 7 or more years anyway.

Wendy-I'm going to have to look up tread n tush and read the reviews. Hope you like the new truck. Great job getting those cover letters and resumes ready to go. I'm sure you will get lots of responses. Fingers, toes and eyes are all crossed for you!;-)

Angie-How was Cody's football game? Great job with kickmax! I would be happy to send you my vhs w/o's. Just email me your address and I will try to get them out next week.

Cathy-Great job keeping up with your rotations despite your busy schedule.

Hello to Laura and Nancy-hope you are both enjoying the weekend.

Diana
