Good morning, girls ~ can I get a big AMEN that it’s Friday????

I have plans to do a social hour after work, but it’ll be a quick one. I’m tired and want to crash early tonight. It’s been a long week. My diet has been SHOT since Tuesday. But I’m forcing myself to go rather than be anti-social.

Let me catch up here with my girls and then knock out SC&C. I didn’t do it last night. Got home about 6:30 and then had some schoolwork to do. By the time I’d finished, I think it was about 8:30ish and I’d lost my steam. I know a half hour workout isn’t much, but I was just “done” at that point. This problem at work is draining.

Wendy :: yes, I will be using the trays for maintenance…I’m not sure how often it’s recommended I use them…I have to ask that…Yes, I was finally able to have my tea as of Wed. night. Yippee!!…I will definitely consider that Long Branch half…I was thinking of doing the Broad Street 10-Miler but haven’t mentally committed to anything. I don’t even know if I’m going to go for that bridge 10K I was telling you about. This’ll be the third week in a row where I’ve only managed two runs per week...No way we can start another round already in Nov. *lol* Not w/ the new series fresh in our hands!!! :) I could go for a Dec. 1st start, though. What’ll we do when Tony’s new ones come out?

Angie :: sorry about the excessive phlegm…sometimes an intense post-nasal drip will make me sick to my stomach…hope it’s better today!…I am pretty sure Disney marathon is always in January…Maybe another time we can do a Cabber GTG. That would be awesome!…Glad you liked Squeeze. Just to clarify my opinion about it – I don’t think the u/b portion is a joke (sorry if it sounded as though that’s what I was saying) – I thought the whole w/out was going to be a joke based upon the opening pushups set but soon found that NOT to be the case. I do think you get a burn from those exercises, but it’s just a different style of workout. A good, unique burn, but not intense exertion, which is why I like to do it as add-on. I really like your idea to piggyback it with some yoga...Thanks for the tip about the trays. I will be careful with that…No, I’m not a regular coffee drinker. I drink it occasionally, but most times I prefer tea (hot or cold)...You & DH talkin' yet?

Diana :: can you wait one month and start 12/1? KB is great! Second time I’ve done that one, and felt the same as I did the first: I didn’t want it to end! BC & KB would make a great combo…Cracked up at the expression “saggy baggy elephant backside.” Hey, you’ve got MY butt! *lol*

Laura :: Wow, that’s a lot of plates! Where exactly do you sell them? Hope it all goes smoothly today.

All right, let me get my butt in gear, so I'm not late. SC&C, here I come!

SC & C done! Whoo, I hear ya on the shoulder work!! Calves burned pretty good, too. Love it! I think I do prefer the core work on KB, though. I can't do moves like hip thrusts very well - so much junk in this trunk gravity just pulls the tailbone right down! *lol*

Am enjoying an Oreo protein smoothie (4 oz. light vanilla yogurt, 4 oz. water, 1 scoop BSN Choc. Fudge Pudding, and 2 Oreo cookies for 5 WW pts.)

Cathy: So when is the Broad Street 10 miler? I say if I am going to go for this 15k trail race then you should DEFINATELY "go for it" as well!}( The description of the protein shake you are drinking is making me hungry!:9 LOL
As far as the X goes, I say let's set a tentative start date for December 1st then. We will deal with Tony's NEW work outs when we actually have them in our hot little hands!:p

Well girls, I have 4DS C&B on tap for today. If I feel like thinking I will do HIS with it. If not, I will find an alternate 20-30 minute cardio to put in it's place...a BBC cardio perhaps!? }( We shall see what happens!

I am tired this morning. I went to bed about 2 hours later then usual so I am feelin' it now. UGH. x(

I trained my BF last night. We upped the weights in some of the exercises for her. She's doing so well! We will be doing weigh/measure day on Monday! I know the weight loss will be minimal (just one of those months) but perhaps the tape measure or BF monitor will have something nice to say. :) As long as things don't go UP then I will be happy. I just have to convince her to feel the same way. LOL

Okay, I'm outta here for now but I'll be back girls!
 
Cathy: The calf work in the new series about killed me! LOL My calves are my weakest link for sure. It doesn't take much for them to begin cramping. They had gotten stronger from doing the X but then I stopped working them with regularity so they are on the downslide again. I wasn't able to do all of the exercises. I did the first set on the floor, had to skip the second set and use that time to rest the muscles and was then able to do the third set. I guess I could pause between sets in order to be able to complete the entire thing but I doubt I'll have the patience for it. I'll probably just continue to do what I can.

So I don't know if I posted it here or not but I am considering doing 1 of 2 different races over Thanksgiving weekend. The first one is on Black Friday. It's a 5 miler which I did last year. I would like to see if I can better my time. The second is a 15k (9.3 miles) but because of the course, it may be too difficult for me. I just emailed the coordinators to see if I could get a description of the course so I can decide which race to do. After doing the HM, I am really pumped to do the longer race but if it sounds too difficult I will probably go for the 5 miler. I'd rather run 5 miles then end up walking alot of the other one cause it's too much. I'll keep y'all updated on my decision. Either way I will burn off the Turkey Day feast! YAY!}(
 
Good Morning Girls,

I should be working out but I'm here on the computer instead. I've been going to bed late all week and it's finally caught up with me. Jerod and DH don't get home from football until late, so we eat late, all the chores are moved back, and we are up late etc. They moved football practice so it's on my way home from work. I stopped by last night to watch him and visit with dh and some friends.

Cathy-the hip lifts aren't my favorite either, but I really liked the shoulder exercises. I was tight on time so I skipped the calf work so I can't comment on that one. I hope you and Wendy find a run you can do together.

Wendy-Doing that HM has really got you wanting to run longer distances. I wish I could run like I used to. Running was the only thing that kept the weight off and I haven't found anything that works for me like running did. I hope the measurements are good for BF, its important for her motivation. It's a process and she just has to keep working on it. You're a great instructor.

Angie-did you see my post from last night. Squeeze, slo mo, new p90x....just stop already. It's really dangerous when I pull that credit card out-I don't know when to stop. What are you up to today?

Laura-hope the fundraiser is a huge success! Good Luck.

Diana: Previous to training for the HM the longest distance I had ever run was 6 miles and that was only ONCE. The longest race I was ever in was 5 miles! Needless to say I experienced LOTS of firsts during my training as well as the HM itself. This race has opened up a whole new world of running to me and I guess I'm like a little kid who's excited to "play" with her new "toy", thus my desire to take part in other longer races-all of the distances I've never raced before like 10K, 15k and 10 miles. :)
Sorry you are tired today. I am shot myself. When DS goes up for a nap (which I was NOW!LOL) I will be going in for a nap before my work out. I'll never get through it any other way. I just hope I don't sleep too long today!

Amen sista!! Friday is finally here:) I have been uber productive today and have no idea why. It certainly wasn't planned. I woke up at 5am and couldn't get back to sleep. I thought, hey, I can get up and get S&H legs done before the kids get up for school. Well, after I got up and got some coffee I realized that my stomach was a little queezy.....probably this stupid sinus thing. Then I realized I have DOMS from Squeeze.:) OMG - it still feels like someone has kickboxed me in the lower flank area....the low back and low obliques are still screaming at me. I thought they would be gone by now, but nope.

Cathy - Thank god you clarified what you thought of the arm portion of Squeeze. I was doing it thinking....geez - Cathy must have arms of steel b/c these sucka's hurt! x( It probably won't be quite so bad next time if I don't lift heavy the day before, but I'm sure I'll still be able to find the burn. I'm not going to add it to yoga....I'm going to do it in place of yoga. Ya know I'm not a yoga fan...but this is close enough to sub as far as I'm concerned.
I've decided not to be anti-social tonight as well. BF and I are going out on a date. *lol* We're gonna have dinner (I see crab legs dripping in butter in my near future) and then probably going to indulge in some CABs or go shopping.
DH and I have not buried the hatchet yet....so to speak. We haven't had a conversation since last weekend. It's been pretty quiet around here. So, going out with BF tonight is a welcome break for me.

Wendy - If you end up not running on Black Friday, then maybe you could just go to your nearest mall and get a comparable w/o. Although, your CC would probably prefer that you lace up those sneakers.:p
I just heard on the radio today...a reminder....Christmas is only 2 months away! Doesn't seem possible does it?

Diana - lol - Sorry about the temptation. I just couldn't help but share since a fellow Catheite shared this on the main board.}( I thought these exercises looked so unique. I know....lately I have workouts coming out of my....U know what.:7

My work out is done: HIS warm up, heavy chest and back work, Step and Intervals cardio, HIS stretch. As you can see I was not in the mood to tax my brain today. I barely made it through HIS' warm up with out wanting to throw something at the tv! LOL :p

It was a great work out none the less. Doing S&I was so much fun. An oldie but a goodie!

No time for personals but I'll get back for them later!:)

yes .. the fundraiser was a success ... yes it was hectic .. and every muscle and bone in my body is aching now! (from last night and today) ... Only one bad point in the day .. this UBER bossy co-worker .. screwed up on one of my orders and of course I called her on it .. of course it ticked both of us off .... she is one of those that likes to "claim" fame .. but not actually do any of the work .. and if she does happen to screw up it is NOT HER fault .. aaaahhhh ..but besides that stress-riser it was a complete success . no tally on money b/c UBER bossy witch was TIRED so she gets to go home b/c she worked SO hard .. $#%@#^$@^%$^@x( .. I could have gone home but I have a desk full of work to do!!x( x( (yes she a lower level than me and STILL manages to get away w/crap that is unbelievable to us mere mortals)

ANYWAY .. me, my VBF, and another friend managed to raise $1900.00 just the three of us!!:) :) :) :) .. so that w/the rest of it I am hoping for a figure somewhere around $5000.00 ot so!:) :) :)

last night's mix match new torture class was a complete SUCCESS .. althought it left my rear end and hamstrings crying for help this morning!! My lats and shoulders are crying too .. but think my poor feet from this afternoon are crying the loudest .. did someone say JACUZZI and CABS?????

Cathy hope the gathering after works finds you enjoying yourself and indulging a bit ... we all have had a rough week!! and are in much need of some R&R:D

Wendy ... you and Cathy planning the 1/2's and races are making me tired .. LOL .. just kidding .. IF ONLY I had just a little of your energy ... and I do miss my regular runs so much .. since the temps are cooler now .. maybe I can get in a long outdoor run this weekend!

I feel your pain!! AT LEAST I don't have the razor blade in the throat thing going on .. (knock on wood) hope you are feeling better!

Diana .. going to work on getting my classes taped seriously .. I said something to a couple of people and THEY want copies .. (hope I don't put myself out of business though) .. I can't tell my class b/c they won't show up .. LOL .. the last time we filmed a commercial OMG .. I did not have hardly any students show up .. gonna have to TRICK them into it !!!!}( }(

My aunt from California is down ... so hope to watch AUBURN play AND WIN .. she is a bigger fan than me .. (yes it is possible) .. so we should have a good ball game gathering .. family and friends!! (and CABS and junk food ..I will try to be good)

I plan on fitting in a run one day .. then think it will be BBC full body or Cathy Body Max 2 the next ...

Ok .. gonna run ... the 5:00 bell is just about to ring ... and I am OUTTA here ... have a great one!

Angie: I am not going to run on Black Friday. I've decided to run in the longer race on that Sunday!}( I had to laugh when I read about how you didn't PLAN to be so very productive! You sound like me!:p I am productive in phases. I do do do for a couple of weeks and then for a couple of weeks it's the bare minimum only. I seem to continuously cycle like that so depending on which portion of the cycle you visit me during my house may be a mess or spotless!:7

Laura: Congrats on the successful fundraiser! How awesome is that! YOU are the one with all of the energy there girl. I don't teach AND do my own work outs, remember!? }( Hope you get a run in this weekend! I wanted to hit the gym tmrw but I don't think that's gonna happen. Turns out it could be too busy of a day so I'll have to nix it and do cardio at home. No biggie.

So I caved today and pre-ordered Amy Bento's Slo-Mo Challenge dvd from Collage! I don't have any of her stuff as it never appealed to me before now. I hope I like this one. It's a 3 day heavy lifting split. I seem to be on a roll with wanting more variety of heavy lifting work outs but I yet haven't taken the plunge with Slow and Heavy and I'm not sure why. Oh well!
