Good morning, girls!! :) :) :)

Just did BC...Completely agree w/ Wendy's reviews - what a blast!!! Loved it! The minor equipment moves in between drills was a welcome break to catch my breath. Oh, how I heart this series!!

Di :: Hope the meds helped and you're feeling better this morning! Can't wait to hear what you think of BC, too.

Hi Wendy, Angie, and Laura!

It's unbelievably warm and humid today...going up to 80! Not sure about my wardrobe selection for today...we're wearing pink for the Cure, but all I have is a kind of heavy sweater. This would be the one day when the full-blast, frigorific A/C decides NOT to go on in my classroom. *lol*

Have a GREAT day! BBL to see what you're all up to.

Hellllllooooooo Cabbbbbeerrrssss!!

Did that sound like Robin Williams??:) I am being such a lazy butt today and I LOVE it.....it seems like it has been forever since I've had a lazy day. I didn't even get up with the kids this morning....I hope they dressed appropriately. I was beat and didn't pull my butt out of bed until 9:45.:7 So, I should have all kinds of energy to do another Cathe. I'm not sore this morning, but since it was the first time doing HIS, I didn't really put my all into it and also didn't have the right weights. I have to go a bit lower than Cathe on the chest, but heavier on the back. Go figure.

Ok girls, maybe you can all give me some input here. The employee problem in a nutshell was this...... We have an employee who has had some problems in the past with his temper and has unleashed it on some of our customers. We have a log truck business, so we have a select few customers who keep us rolling at a steady rate most of the time. Well, we have a customer who is like an ADHD type personality and has also been known to be a hothead at times (he's always been nothing but nice to me). Apparently, from what we can figure, our employee (Jim) complained one too many times to our customer (Mike). Well, Mike lost it and started yelling at Jim who yelled back. Now, Mike won't let Jim into his job site anymore. It is already a nightmare to schedule these trucks to be where they are supposed to be and it will be impossible to keep Jim rolling without going into that job.}( Jim has had a history of pi$$ing off customers in the past and we just had a talk with him about this in January. He has a wife and 2 girls and needs this job....but, we just can't afford to lose a customer....especially this one, who we haul for every day.
Well, here is what we are thinking. We think that maybe we'll tell Jim that if he can smooth things over with Mike then fine, but if not, then he'll have to find a new job. It's a real pain to find a log truck driver, but with the unemployment rate in this neck of the woods, hopefully not impossible. We told him to stay home today to cool his heels, so we have the weekend to come up with something. What do you all think?? I hate to put this out on the internet, but I feel like a neutral opinion would be beneficial. I also highly doubt either one of these guys visit Cathe.com *lol*

Gotta go get another cup of java......I'll be back in a bit for personals

Angie

I'm back....now that I have a full cup o joe.:)

Cathy - Do YOU have any MTV videos of the karaoke?
elvis-071.gif

I've never had a white castle burger either. But, I was bad last night too....I didn't have anything planned for dinner but I wanted to have something yummy waiting for DH when he got home since he had such a horrible day. He even got a speeding ticket on his way home.:( So, I ordered out for pizza and antipasto salad.:9 My calories were way too high for the day, but so was my stress levels.:D
It is hard to post and not feel that sometimes it doesn't come across how you intend. I often go back and read and delete some things b/c I don't want them to be taken the wrong way even though I'm sure it would probably be fine. Then again, I'm sure I've posted things that didn't come across with grace either. But, I'm sure the same thing happens with spoken words too. BTW, I agreed with you comment. I'm not a fan of Rallie but love Rylee. Mama and papa will figure it out I'm sure. I wanted to name Cameron, Levi instead and my mom talked me out of it. We told Cam about this and he is mad....he says he would have preferred Levi.

Wow - you were up late last night. The situation with BF sure does change quickly. I agree that that's a weird coarse of events to do the baby before the marriage. So, does that mean she has no problem being committed to a baby but not him. Doesn't sound like a very healthy environment for baby. Another thing....a baby is forever, and these days marriage is not. Maybe he or she wants to cement this relationship as much as possible? Which one doesn't want to get married?
Mark and I had Cody a couple of years before we got married, but I was in the Navy at the time and desperately wanted out. At that time if you got pregnant, you had the option of leaving the military. I know, not the smartest move....but we were pretty young. I was 24 and was so miserable.....I knew Mark was the ONE and I also wanted to have a family with him, so we got together as much as possible on the weekends and finally it happened. So, I guess I can't throw too many stones since I have been there and done that.
As far as the length of a rotation.....I guess if you like the results keep with it. When doing the X for the first time, I noticed changes in the first 2 weeks, so I would suggest that you stick with it until it no longer works for you.

Diana - ohhhhhh....so I might be seeing the UPS man again today??:7 He's not a hottie, but he is a sweetheart. Thanks for expanding my w/o library and hopefully I can get my BF or sis to try a Cathe. They are both heavy but I'm not sure they are completely willing to work this hard to get it off. Neither of them really do any tough cardio right now.
Hope the meds kick in before the weekend starts. Being sick on the weekend is no fun.:(
DH likes veges, but if they aren't ready to eat, he won't take the time to eat them. I don't think I've ever seen him cut up celery or carrots, so I generally buy the ready to eat stuff and they disappear.

Hi Laura & Wendy......BBL to see what you gals are up to.

Have a great Friday all

Angie

Angie,

In regards to the business issue, I think your idea is a good one. I was going to say that you probably need to let Jim go as your business depends on it but if you are willing to give Jim the chance to try and make good with the customer then that sounds like a great idea. Just make it clear to him that if he's finally gone too far and the customer doesn't want to hear it then unfortunately his job will be no longer. It sucks but sometimes it's unavoidable.

(((HUGS))) and good luck! Let us know how it turns out!

Good Afternoon Girls.

I did Itread 1/20 mins at the gym this morning. I wasn't a speed demon cause I was coughing but atleast I got it done. It's weight work in just a little while. I've been reading great reviews on the bi/tri segment so I am excited to give it a go!:)

Cathy: Glad you loved BC as much as I did. I am sure I will love it even more when I don't have a chest cold!:p I hope the a/c in your school is on extra super cold today! I had to laugh at your very descriptive word for the way the a/c usually is. LOL

Angie: No, the yucks aren't gone yet but so long as I am not worse I am going to give this HM a shot. DH is getting the day off to come after all and Cathy is coming as well I think so I now that I have a cheering section I MUST RUN!:7

Okay, time to get DS off for his nap and hit the weights!

I'll be back in a bit ladies!

Toodles!

Hi ladies,

I stayed home sick today. I am so plugged up I can't hardly stand it. I doubt I will be working out today. This sinus problem seemed to come on suddenly. I'm taking airborne and hope it helps.

I have taken advantage of my time and have written up all the baby shower invitations and hope to get them in the mail today or tomorrow.

Cathy-I previewed BC last night and am looking forward to doing it. I also previewed kickbox and it looks great too!

Angie-We have a lot in common. My Cody was born out of wedlock too. I was on BC at the time I became pregnant but DH and I decided to wait until the baby was born to get married. Also, Levi is Jerod's middle name. My sister wanted to use it for a middle name for one of her sons, but our dad made a comment about it so she didn't use it. I didn't care what my dad said. DH and I liked the name and that's all that mattered. Regarding your work situation, I agree with Wendy. If your employee can work it out with the customer-great, if not he probably will need to be replaced.

Wendy-I hope you feel better fast. You will really appreciate Cathy and DH being there for you. I hope you have a great HM experience. Good Luck.

Laura-Hope your not locked in the asylum...

Nancy-how are you?

Diana

GRRRRR!!!!

I was all ready to do my weight work out when I accidentally banged my elbow into the corner of my kitchen counter. I saw stars!!!! I started doing the work out a few minutes later and could barely get through the first exercise (overhead tri ext's)! My elbow is just aching like crazy. x( I guess I will call it a day and try to just do bi/tri tomorrow.

I had decided earlier today that I was going to use tomorrow as a "practice day" for the new step routines so hopefully I can do both. I was not going to go all out with the cardio due to Sunday's HM. I literally just wanted to try to learn the routines on just the platform. We'll see what happens-how much I can fit in....

Hi girls! Happy Friday!!! :) :) :)

Angie :: glad you were able to sleep in some today…It sounds like Jim *has* to utilize Mike’s job site in order to be productive, so I agree that what you’ve proposed as a way for him to keep his job seems fair. Let us know how that goes…Hope that yummy dinner made up for the rough day!…My sister was 4 when our parents married, so I just want to say that, for certain, I am not casting stones…But I do think it’s a big risk to plan it that way, and in her situation, I don’t know why she feels this makes more sense at this time…She’s always talked before about wanting to marry him, but now she says marriage is more terrifying than becoming a parent…It is her decision to do the baby first…I think part of the reason the news has taken me by surprise is because it’s such a big life decision and we’ve been so out of touch with one another’s lives that I was completely out of the loop, which just feels ODD… ‘Course, the bottom line is she is an adult making her own decisions, and if this is what she wants and feels is right, then by all means, live and let live.

Wendy :: would you believe the A/C was *not* on today??? I was roasting! *lol* Yes, you absolutely will have a cheering section!!…Yeowch!! Sorry about the banged elbow.

Di :: hope the airborne is kicking in…Sinuses can make for some misery…Glad you were able to get the invitations out of the way…I can’t get over how much you & Angie have in common…Sons named Cody…Cameron was almost a Levi and that’s Jerod’s middle name! What are the odds?? You two are like our twin cabbers. :) *lol* at your expression about Laura being locked in.

Laura :: where are ya, girl?

It'll be a working weekend for me...cleaning tonight...schoolwork and Nat'l Board work tomorrow and probably part of Sunday, too. All my fun will be gotten through the new w/outs and cheering on the Wendynator!

Hey all.

Elbow is still aching but it doesn't seem to be AS painful as it was. It appears, however, to be even less mobile then before. That could just be because I am babying it since it hurts. You know how things stiffen up if ya don't use them. I hope it goes away on it's own. I would hate to think I really did damage!

I am cooking dinner right now. Odd for me to cook a "real meal" on a friday night but I was in the mood. Chicken, string beans and rice. Nothin' fancy but it will taste good!:9

Cathy: Sounds like you've got a packed weekend. What were you planning as far as the half? The race starts at 10am so I should be done between 12:30 and 1:00 I think. Did you want to come up towards the end or had you planned to come up for the whole thing? It's entirely up to you. No pressure whatsoever girl! I just found out today that DH is pretty much definately going to be there so I have to remember to tell him of our lunch plans as he may not want to be included in the estrogen-fest! LOL I am starting to get excited again for the race. I am still a bit worried about the affect the cough will have but I soooo want to do this! I can't imagine the feeling of accomplishment I will have when it is over no matter what my time is!!!:)

Diana: Sorry you are sick. I hope the airborne helps you. Keep taking it and it should shorten the life of whatever it is that you have bothering you!

BBL!

You know, Wendy, I hadn't thought of it. Since DH is going, I suppose it isn't necessary to be there for the start of it, so I will likely get there about 12-ish, if that's cool. Lunch, if you're up for it, is great, but we can play by ear...If you feel kaput and just want to get home, shower, and rest, I would absolutely understand. I was pretty beat down after my half...It is definitely an accomplishment, no matter the finish time.

ETA: Do you have any tips on where to park?

Hi girls

I just got my shower after doing the LIS....ohhhhhh...me likes it!:7 I don't know why I have such a hard time with shoulders, but I struggle with them and this is not a shoulder friendly w/o. But, I do very much like the cardio portion. I can see myself mixing the cardios from HIS and LIS and they would be like a RS or a SB. Of coarse, I still have to get the choreo down to HIS. I was hungry as heck when I got done and I've already scarfed down 1300 calories today and haven't had any CABs yet.:( Looks like I might be a little over on cals tonight.

Wendy - Hope that elbow starts feeling better.....geez girl, we're gonna have to get you a full body armour suit.:p That'd be a good w/o wearing that around all day. I'll be rooting for you in cyberland on Sunday too.:) I'm so impressed!

Diana - Wow - that is so weird......never knew we had so much in common. Ya.....what are the chances??
UPS man just dropped of a package. Can't wait to tear it open.:D
Hope you get rid of those yucks quickly.....boo!

Cathy - I don't really think that the dinner made up for the bummer day, but it sure didn't hurt. We were both having one of those days where everything we did just turned to poo. I hate those days!
With you BF, since she doesn't really have a reason to not get married first, it just seems a bit weird to me. So she wants to have a baby with him but not get married?? Why? I can see why you are concerned.
Sorry you have a working weekend on tap.:-( Hope you find some time in there to do some fun things....I'm sure you and Wendy will come up with something.

Thanks girls for the comments on Jim. It is just do darned frustrating.}( It'll be interesting to see what other information DH had collected today regarding this issue. Hopefully his day went much better today and we'll be able to sit down and make a decision. Cody will be at a football game and Cam is at Grma's house so it'll be nice to be able to talk in private. I'll let ya know what we come up with.

Later

Angie

Angie :: your posts and way with words always makes me smile... I think I'll have to preview HIS and LIS tonight - Is the LIS choreo a little easier?...I think shoulders are toughest for me, too...I actually don't mind it being a working weekend...I really have to focus on the NB stuff especially. I think I forgot to answer earlier: definitely NO video of my karaoke debut. I know there was a Polaroid, which I probably decimated afterward. :7
