.....c.t...wednesday....

Dinner for the fam is in the oven-breaded and baked drumsticks:) I, on the other hand have decided to fast til Easter. The Orthodox fast is a tough one-no meat, meat byproducts, poultry, eggs, dairy, olive oil, or wine. And the length of fasting can be difficult-strict fasting calls for 2 days without food-I will not be going that far! I am going follow the rules as best I can. I'm actually looking forward to finding new stuff to eat-I'm going to use lots of quinoa, barley, beans/legumes, seafood, veggie broth, fruits and veggies, etc. I'm going to try almond milk, coconut milk yogurt, and vegan sausage:) Wish me luck! Oh here's the link:

Becky, glad you're feeling better! It's like we're all getting sick by osmosis!

Colleen, what a crummy neighbor! My husband likes to clean too-especially floors! He is the BEST swifferer! And he vaccums, puts away his laundry, does dishes, and will go grocery shop too, though he calls me a million times while he's there!

Kate, poor you! At least J is feeling better!

Clintonya, beautiful dance pics on FB:) I haven't tried Step Moves yet-maybe this weekend.

Robin, famous-ha!

Nina, nice job! Lucky for me, Darrin does our taxes-I just sign on the dotted line;)

Katie, feel better-lots of sleep and soup (as if you didn't know)!

Hi Anne!

Klaudia wow what a fast! Thanks for the link. Let us know how coconut and almond milk is.

Clintonya no but the girlscouts is going to be out and about...this weekend. I plan to donate money instead of buying cookies.

Katie did dr give antibiotics. Poor baby.

I got to church late but got most of the Ash Wed message. My pastors wants us to fast from things that are keeping us away form our devotions and service. Like TV, computer, drama etc.

So I guess I may not be able to chat for longs periods on this forum, facebook, cafemom, yahoo, google, youtube....dang I need help.

ohhhh, i am sooo tired. i just did the coolest exercise tv yoga wo - it was HARD! it was called yoga fitness plus by elise gulan. i majorly need a nap or caffine.

katie, sosorry for bronchitis! when do youy have to go back to work?

wendy, hope jj stays well. can anyone help you until dh gets home?

robin, that is a good message from your pastor. i write that as i am on my computer getting ready to watch a mindless 30 min of tv:eek:

klaudia, that is great to try that fast. i def could not do that, but i will live vicariously. i do love almond milk, but i miss the calcium and protein regualr milk has. never heard of coconut yougart.

bbiab

klaud, thanks for the list! let me know if you find a good vegan sausage - i want to make a white bean and spinach soup that calls for chicken sausage. i am going to try to go vegetarian 2 days a week. i just love eggs though. and cottage cheese. the meat i can do without.

Just finished my mish-mosh--Athletic Step, calf work from the STS leg work out for this week, yoga-inspired abs and stretch. Okay, I skipped the last part of AS, did all the calf work, and skipped the last 3 mins or so of the abs. I just had no mojo tonight. I hope I'm not catching the clean and tidy bug! I'm sure it's just an off day.

Okay, I need you guys to tell me--how bad is it if I skip the last cardio work out this week for the rotation? I desperately want to stay up and watch the Olympics tonight, but that means I probably can't get out of bed in time to do Disc 18 before work. But I have book club at 5:30 and tap from 8 to 9 tomorrow, so the AM is the only time to get a work out in. My juicy rationalization is that I'm doing two tap classes per week in addition to the STS rotation. Almost without fail. I could double up on Friday, as I took that day off, but I took that day off because I have a ton of stuff to do to get ready to leave. Sigh. Can you tell I'm talking myself into sleeping in tomorrow?

Nina, good luck going veg. I did vegan one summer and it was just a lot of work, but I lost like 15 pounds. Plus, I do love meat, especially pork. Anyway, great job on the yoga!

Klaudia, that fast is too strict for me, but you know how lazy I am.

Robin, I like the idea of fasting from drama. I may have to try that.

Clintonya, I leave for FL on Saturday and the cruise sets sail on Sunday. I'm getting really excited! I was on the message boards earlier and there was a thread about what people were bringing to read. They had all these great suggestions from authors and titles I love. The reason that made me excited is that I usually relate well to people with reading taste similar to mine. I think it's going to be a lot of fun.

Get well vibes to all the sickies--I'd list you individually, but there are too many of you! Seriously, I hope you all feel better soon. Let me know if I should run some chicken soup over. ;-)

Evenin' Ladies! Sorry....I have zero energy for a long personals typing...but we are still alive, but barely! Julia is just about 100%. I am NOT. I might as well set up camp in the bathroom because I've been in there all freakin' day!:eek::mad::mad: Ordered gluten-free pizza for dinner 'cause I gots no energy to do anything else. I had a little bit - can't even tell the difference from regular!:D

Hope everyone is having a good evening.

And Anne, no one's gonna fault you for a missed cardio! Look where you were a month ago & how far you've came! You go girl!

Klaudia, you can do it! Thanks re the pics – ½ way done – only 2 more to go!

Anne, being that I can find a reason to justify anything you probably shouldn’t listen to me :), but I think it is fine to skip the workout and get yourself ready to leave. I know you will have a great time. I have never heard of anyone coming back who didn’t have fun & I have heard lots of stories about meeting great people!

Robin, donating is a good alternative :) That is a fast I need to do too!

Nina, hope you can get a good night’s rest :) The yoga must have done its job :)

Kate, I am so sorry you are still feeling bad:(:( I hope it will go away soon and you can rest for the night!

Workout is done, I am sore this week! I hope the sicknesses get better for everyone tomorrow!

Clintonya

Egads, the sicknesses! Here's a get well vibe to each of you and family that are not feeling well. Rest up and get better!

Klaudia - Wowie, that is ambitious! Let us know how it goes. I thought about buying quinoa from Costco, but don't know how to cook or eat it and with what.

Kate - The mommies always get it last and sometimes the worst. Oooh, gluten-free pizza.
Rest up! Glad your girls are better.

Colleen - What a rude, rude neighbor! Kudos to your DH!

Robin - I need a twin too!

Nina - Glad you found a good yoga workout. I have yoga tomorrow.

Katie - Hope your bronchitis clears up quickly.

Hi Becky, Clintoya, Anne, Angie, Wendy!

I hate to complain because really, I'm not in snow, but I'm cold. It's freezing (to me) here. I think it's like in the 60's. I need to hit Costco, but so unmotivated. I did my Backs & Biceps today. Yoga tomorrow. At least I got my checking acct balanced and did something right? :) Hoping everyone gets better soon!
