housework & errands for me today. Bible study tonight.

l - chicken taco salad
d - roast beef, potato, carrots, onion

Last night I ended up doing some of MMA fusion. Fun stuff! Nina, Didn't you not care for this one too much?

Hi Kate !!

I did good on the cleaning eating all day until last night and I just was craving junk. I ended up with graham crackers and sugarfree cocoa. Not good, but it could have been worse .
Today it's back to weights.......think it's back & triceps ?? Haven't looked at today's workout yet......
Did anyone watch BL last night ??? I'm thinking the amounts of weight the contestants are losing in such a short period of time are getting WAY out of the safe range !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought the first couple of seasons it was crazy but how do they defend this (saying there are doctors monitoring and following , making sure it's done safely........but I can't understand it ) Anyone watching this season??

yday was 100% - going for day number 4!! i am going to make klaudias bean ragout - it looks awesome. plan today is a run, core and legs. also grocery max. finn goes back to school - i am hoping there are no tears. gotta run - bbiab

Kate I haven't done MMA-F yet. I'll check out the article. I know they are saying putting plastic containers in the microwave is very bad too.

Becky I saw BL also and I agree 100%. It really doesn't make any sense anymore. Also how can a 300-500 # person jump on a bike and ride for over an hour???????????? :eek: I think they are encouraging people in the wrong way and it's going to lead to heart attacks.

Morning ladies!! All day yesterday I was SURE it was Wednesday, and very disappointed when I realized I was ahead by one day. These five day work-weeks are for the birds!:p

Becky, your cheat sounds pretty innocent to me.

So..... With the past few (about 5) days of clean eating, my weight has come down a *very little* which confuses me because usually I will lose a good bit of water right in the beginning (even 4 pounds or so), but that is not happening... AND I have not started my period yet... But all preg tests have been negative so far. If AF does not arrive today, maybe I should test again....

robin and becky, ive never really watched BL but ive seen bits flipping thru and ads... it seemed unhealthy from the beginning. very heavy ppl working out for that long, sometimes high impact, the restricted diet with all that exercise... even for a person in dire need of wt to come off, that is NOT good. i made it over 200 lbs with this pregnancy and can say with absolute certainty that it was NOT good to do even a little high impact ex with that much weight on my joints. the world of pain i caused myself i am still recovering from (the biggest being my knees) and it actually hindered my wt loss greatly because of that. sorry to blabber on...

groove class today. power tomorrow and then hope to getto spin fri because i did step instead on mon. eatsshould be good, not sure what yet!

Confession time: No workout and way too many sweets yesterday:( Yuck! And I was down a few pounds-now I'm afraid to get on the scale! Sigh. So today will be cardio and abs. Probably the incline/speed walk I skipped. Nothing else on tap except for an errand or two and some tidying up.

Kate, I'm scared to read that article too. Why can't eating healthy be easy? Eats look good!

Becky, I won't even tell you how bad my binge was last night! Yours is nothing in comparison! I agree about BL-they're crazy! I'm just waiting for someone to drop-permanently.

Nina, that recipe was so quick and easy-and delish! I'm having it for lunch again today:) Sending no tear vibes our way!

Good Morning Everyone!

This morning's workout was STS Disc 2 Back & tri's. I don't know if I was tired or this was just hard. I felt it more than Monday's workout. My abs were also fried because of yesterday's ab workout which I did not expect. I have a 4 hour meeting in VA this afternoon which I am not looking forward to. Especially the commute home in rush hour traffic. Eats yeaterday were 95% clean until I had 2 cookies after dinner. I don't know why I get the munchies when I am in the kitchen. I need to stop it.

Kate, I agree MMA fusion was fun but not that intense. I not sure I want to read the article on microwaving but I will.
Katie, I usually can't lose weight before AF but I will drop right after she arrives.
Becky, I saw the bl where they had them run/walk a marathon and I thought it was too much. I appreciate that they want to help people but with the rapid weight loss will they really keep it off? I think one of the former contestants gained it all back.
Nina, I hope there aren't any tears either.
Robin, I switched to glass containers so that I won't have the plastic issue. My only problem is that they get hot.
Wendy, sorry you had to learn a hard lesson. Have fun at groove class.
Klaudia, don't worry about the slip up yesterday. Hope you can get back on track today.

Robin, I'm glad you had a good day at work yesterday. I was out and about at the stores on Sunday and they were basically empty. It was so nice.

Kate, I don't use the microwave much, either, but that's mainly because I eat out so much. I need to get that under control. I think I'm going to make your chicken tortilla soup this weekend. That recipe is so delish!

Becky, I swore I wasn't going to watch BL this season, but there I was last night, glued to the TV. I guess my thinking on it is those people have so much to lose that it's not unsafe to have a big number the first week. But, what do I know? I agree it seems odd.

So, last night I did the warm up from Travel Fit and then I watched it while I did 1RMs for chest, shoulders, and biceps. I just did the 4 and 5 star exercises. It went pretty well, I'll do back and triceps tomorrow. Tonight it's some kind of cardio, probably Athletic Step. Oh, I also did the abs and cool down from Travel Fit. I think I'll like that work out when I try it, but I'm not sure when. Maybe during the rest week after Meso 1.

Morning again ladies, I wasn't thinking clearly this morning. Forgot to post my workout (Legs & Glutes, KPC abs) and menu:

b cereal, skim milk
s banana, hb egg
l salad w/grilled chicken
s yogurt
d oven "fried" chicken, sweet potato, green beans

I have taken two tests - one last Thursday morning (neg) and one Monday. With the test on Monday, I had convinced myself I saw a very faint line there but I don't think there really was. I don't remember the date of my last period (stupid, I know). I am having some spotting but no period yet. I don't know what to do!!!! But thanks for the crossed fingers and baby dust - keep sending them my way!!!!:D

Klaudia, I know what you mean. When I got back from vacation, I thought I was going to be able to go right back into eating clean and working out. Didn’t happen – had quite a few slip days. Took me about 2 weeks to get all the way back on track, but the scale in now back, so I know it will come back quickly for you too!

Nina, great job on still sticking with your plan even though you had a rough day! I don’t know how you do it, I struggle and my dh helps out a lot :confused: You are doing great to keep up with your workouts and all you have to do while your dh is gone!

Robin & Becky – I haven’t watched the biggest loser for a while. I will occasionally see a re-run here and there, but I agree I just don’t understand it:confused:

Kate, I will read the article this evening and will probably want to throw the microwave in the trash :) It is just so easy to heat up things when I am in a rush.

Wendy, those classes all sound fun! I know what you mean about the weight, I also was over 200 after my last dd was born and it was hard to do any type of hi impact. I took it slow and lost about 30 pounds in 2 years. Then I probably took it too slow and it took another 3 years to get off another 20 pounds, but I have been trying to just make gradual changes so that it stays off and becomes part of my day to day.

Anne, good job on getting the 1rm exercises done. I didn’t do all of them either. My dh and I were doing disc 1 last night and we were saying probably should have re-tested cause these weights feel heavier than the 1st time:eek:

Colleen, I am scared of disc 2 now!! My arms are feeling it today after disc 1 and sometimes it seems with the jumping like will be happening this evening with 40/20 I feel that in my upper body more than my lower. Hope the traffic isn’t too bad for you this evening.

Ladies do you find it hard to drink lots of water during the cold months. I'm on my 3rd cup of hot green tea and I've only drank 8oz of water. Fluids are fluids I guess???

whew, take off for a few hrs and there is so much to catch up on!!

first, katie, i am so excited for you. i agree with robin, though. if you can, wait until fri and take a test. and don't sweat the weight. with each of my pregnancies i gained 10 lbs 1st trimester with no change in activity, but i totalled out at 18 with finn and 16 with aidan. they were tiny babies. good luck.

robin, great wo plans. what did you think of hiit, anyways?

kate, sorry for the tears again with isabel.

klaudia, just get right back on the bandwagon. try those mma's - you prob don't need to even preview, but they are so fun, and easy to modify to 30 minutes. i have the ragout going now, but i had to use chickpeas.

anne, wtg on your 1rm! i cannot wait to see what you think of sts.

colleen, great job with the wo. hpe the drive goes well and quick.

wendy, have fun at the gym. ita with the impact and higher weight. it is just not good for sure. and there are so many good low impact exercises, why trash your joints?
