i bought mike a large gun safe for his bday on friday. hes gonna flip! im so excited to give it to him!:D

I'm another one who got HUGE during my pregnancy - but only my first!;) Learned my lesson!:eek: I weighed 203 the day I delivered Gina.:eek::eek::eek: I gained 26# w/ Isabel and Julia. But Julia weighed more than Isabel at birth so I gained the least amonut of "weight" with her! LOL!!!

I do have a harder time getting my ice water down this time of year. I play "games" to get myself to drink it....like every 3rd piece of laudry I fold I take a drink....or every stoplight/sign. I'm weird, I know.:p

Clintonya, I'm discovering that reheating things like soup/chili on the stove just takes a couple extra minutes than the nuker and it actually tastes better too. AND there are no overcooked edges from the micro either. I always hated that!

Nina HIIT 30/30 hitt me hard but I was able to do it. I was surprised about the amount of calories I burned. Today I read that the amount of calories have a lot to do with weight, height, age, resting heart rate,etc etc.

JUst did all of MMA Fusion. Nina was right - not too intense. But fun. Overall I liked it. I think it will be better when I know the moves AND when this dumb shoulder heals.

did some core and hiit 40/20 - i figure all those plyo moves count as legs:p finn is coughing and not feeling well, so we have a little tylenol on board and a snuggle going. bbl

No, Robin you aren’t alone with the water. It is MUCH harder in the cold winter.

Robin, I don't drink ice cold water in the winter, I let it get to room temperature. And I think green tea counts as water anyway. Plus, if you're eating lots of fruit and veg you get water from them, too. It really depends how much you're going to the bathroom--that's how I gauge it.

Nina, 30/30 is very easy to follow. It's the same move for 30 seconds and there's a thing on the screen to tell you which move is coming up during the 30 second rest. I did it without previewing the other night with no problem.

Kate, I'm going to do Athletic Step tonight. I haven't watched it, but I figure that will be okay. All my tap classes help me pick up choreography quickly.

Clintonya, I'm scared to start STS, I was thinking about doing a month of just regular strenght work outs, but then I figured if I may as well just jump in. I'm a little sore today from the 1RM. I'll probably be much more sore tomorrow, the 2nd day is always worse for me.

Hi to everybody I missed! It's been a crazy day here today, but that's okay. I'd rather be busy than bored! I'll try to stop by again tonight.

Wendy, don't even talk about taxes:( - that just decreases the little time I have! I am blissfully pretending that it is still the end of 2009 :)

Anne, I had that same talk with myself when I 1st started sts:) You can do it - I did have to lower some weights at some points, I need to be able to use my arms to type at work:)

finished 40/20 - I made it through but had to take a couple of longer breaks and used a lower step so I wouldn't hurt my knee - I bow to those of you who can do it with no breaks :cool:

Nina - Boo to colds and coughs! Hope your lo feels better soon.

Klaudia - Don't fret about yesterday. Move on and you'll be back in the groove in no time. I totally went overboard over the holidays, but I finally am getting back to eating better.

Anne - I love when the days are filled and go by quickly. I agree, better than being bored.

Robin - I guess I don't have the water problem since it's usually hot here all the time. I think any drink as long as it doesn't have too much sugar or caffeine is better than nothing.

Colleen - Traffic was awful this morning for me so I feel your pain. I usually wait out traffic, but decided to take my kids to school instead of putting them on the bus because it was raining, but then realized I would have to drive in traffic to work, blech.

Clintoya - I have to try out the new workouts but will probably use lower step heights because I have knee issues also. I'm dreading taxes this year also.

Wendy - Thriller sounds like so much fun! I miss group classes, but don't miss having to look for parking at the gym or paying, lol!

I got up early this am to do my workout - P90X Backs and Biceps. I think I have to up my Bicep weights, but don't want to get too bulky. Eats today are decent. Lasagna planned for dinner. I know it's not the cleanest, but easy to start since it will just sit in the oven while we're at a parents' meeting for ds' basketball. Maybe I'll pick up a salad from the store for myself instead. We'll see. Anyone have a good black bean recipe? I bought some black beans and want to cook it, but would love some input on some good tried recipes. Anyway, off to do some more work then help ds with his school project. Oh and planning on some core work later tonight. Bored with AbRipper X so will pull out one of Cathe's.

mmmm....lasagna! That's what we're having tmrw. I just use lean beef and lf cheese and consider just fine! I don't eat the pasta tho - scrape it off and the kids eat it. They trade me for the tomato!:p:D

lisa - black bean burgers are YUM! the recipe i use is from vegetarian times and im at the lib right now so i dont have it near me. but search for a black bean burger recipe, find one you like.
