Hi, my friends!!!
I have a feeling this may be quite lengthy, so I'll apologize in advance!
First off, I'd like to thank you all for the tips on "must-sees" in Toronto and advice on where everything was located. We had a wonderful time! The weather was perfect~never a drop of rain, just plenty of sunshine!
We ran nonstop the whole time we were there. We needed about another week to be able to do the things we just could not fit in.
Trevor~We waited in line to get tickets for the CN Tower for approximately 45 minutes. After waiting that long, the wait to get into the tower was 1 hour and 45 minutes! :-wow We had my 80 year old in-laws with us who just could not wait that long, so sadly, we walked away from it! :-( We did get a pix of it though. It is a "must-try-again" next time we get there.
Stebby~I surely can understand your embarrassment about the worker's strike. (garbage) We just took it all in stride. Not much we could do about it. Had a good ole time anyway.
Robyn~Thanks for the tips on all you can do there. We will definitely keep them in mind for next time.
Christine~I was able to get to the "Biggest Book store" in the world! Picked up two exercise vids! I don't think I got a bargain at all, but I surely could't walk out of there without a vid or two, could I? ;-) We also tried to find Lululemons, but never could find it. There are sooo many shops, it is unbelievable. We went in out of as many as we could dragging the in-laws with us. They were definitely NOT into exercise vids OR workout gear!!!
PatricaP~I wish I had known you were right next door to the theater. We saw your pizza shop! I would have loved to stop in to wave to you, although, MY tris would have been wagging at you because I LOVE pizza! Hope to meet you next time up. Were you working Friday night?
SusanP & others that recommended "MamaMia"! This was the absolute highlight of our trip! All 6 of us are still talking about it. As I mentioned in an ealier post, we got seats 5 rows back, centerstage! We could see every face and expression sooo well. I only mention this because any show I have ever been to in the past, I have been in the nosebleed section! By the end of the show we were all standing (the whole theater), clapping, dancing and singing along!! My DH & I agree, it's the best show we have ever seen and are thinking of going to the one that is in Cleveland right now if we can get tickets. FUN, FUN TIME!!!
I know I have missed thanking some of you personally, but want to say THANKS now for all the tips, advice, diections and even the well wishes to have good time, which we DID!
Now, if I could just get all caught up on all these new posts. Whew! It's great to be back!
