Butts and Gutts

I've been doing gym style legs recently, and I LOVE it. It hurts sooo badly, but I love it. I really want another just lower body dvd. Is Butts and Gutts any good? Is it worth the money, or is it just a combination of xercises of Cathe's total body workouts?

Thank you

Yep definitely worth it! I think it's Cathe's most original and (probably the toughest) for me anyways, lower body workouts. Not to mention the music is so awesome.....it really gets me in the zone. :D

B&G is so worth it. There are some moves that you've seen before but most are new and the floor work is almost all new. I have been trying to do this one once a week on top of my other leg workout as it is so good for all over leg, knee and ankle strength too... as well as butt and abs of course. It also really gets your heart rate up there too so you burn alot of calories!.

One of my favorites!

Holy cow...I just did this one for the first time yesterday. I am SOO sore today! This might be one of my new favorite lower body workouts. It's definitely got some new and different ways to make you work. Excellent workout.

This is, by FAR, my favorite leg workouts from Cathe. I LOVE Butts & Guts and was so missing it during STS that I'd work it into the "rest" weeks in between meso's. I know, sick, right? But that's how good it is! Its intense and LONG but some of the premixes are pretty darn good too. All in all, I give this one an A+!

I've had B&G for a while now. I just recently got GS Legs. Both are great, but different. GS legs is intensive. B&G has more variety, and more fun, IMO. Both are must haves!:)

I think you have all convinced me :) I am going to order it :) It sounds awesome! I just have one more question though: Do I download or do I buy it on Dvd? In other words, are the premixes worth:
a) the extra 12$
b) the wait!

Thank you all for your responses!

Butts and Guts is so different from all my other lower body workouts, you will love it....and feel it the next day.

I'd get the DVD, the premixes are great (usually run between 40-60 mins; full length is like 75 mins) and there are some good bonus tracks thrown in too. I hope you love it!

Here are the premixes on Butts & Guts:

Butts & Guts
Standing Glutes & Abs Timesaver 50 min
Overall Legs 65 min
Leg Blast 48 min
Floorwork and Abs 49 min

The entire workout is 78 minutes.

Glad you are getting this workout. I, too love this workout. In fact I have never done any of the premixes because I love the workout so much I always do the entire thing.

Thank you everyone! I have ordered the dvd. And am now so excited. Bring on the DOMS is all I can say :)

I actually do B&G for a kind of physio for my knees. I have had bad knees since I was a teenager and never really got them strong enough. B&G has alot of moves that my PT recommended. It really gets all angles of the butt and hamstrings. I have noticed a big difference since starting it...
I am sure that you will enjoy it!
Good luck

I love B&G, but I forget about it most of the time. I pulled it out the other day and did about 1/2 of the workout. I felt it in my hamstrings and rear the next day. I need to work this one in at least once a week!

Hi Heather,
Thank you so much for adding this! That is great news :) It is hard to tell when you order a dvd if the workout is going to attack all areas of the butt and hamstring. I am very excited about it now :) And I can tell myself that the pain is most definitely 'good for me' after I do this workout.
Thankyou!!!

I forgot to mention... because it does get all those hard to hit areas of the butt... you may have to have assistance to sit down and stand up the next day. Once you have done it a few times you'll be okay but even if you stop for a couple weeks you will notice DOMS again.
It's one that you'll love and hate!

Thank you sooo much to everyone that recommended this dvd! I am so glad I have it! I did it tonight for the first time, and Oh my. I am not one to swear, its just not in my nature, but during this dvd... well. That's a different matter. I am hobbling already, I am afraid to go to bed, just in case I can't get back up again! Heather, you were Soooo right

Anyway, thank you so much!
:)

get the dvd SOOO worth it.

i haven't done it in a while and yesterday pulled it out for the ab work and OMG my abs haven't felt like this in a good while. even with my routine and kettlebells my abs haven't gotten DOMS like this.

some familiar exercises but she puts new twists with positions or tempos that make them challenging. i enjoy the music on all the dvds in this series which i think helps my motivation along.
