Butts and Guts or Tonique?

I am trying to decide if I should buy Butts and Guts or Tonique first? I just purchased the Troy Lite Barbell, Cathe's high step and Cathe's weighted gloves so I really shouldn't be getting either DVD right now BUT I want to lift my rear and both of these look fantastic (and hard!). I'd love to know which DVD you all suggest.

I think the 2 are completely different workouts. I own both Tonique (all 3 of her DVD's actually) and Butts & Guts. With Tonique, it is VERY high rep (I think she does a minimum of 30 reps of everything) and in some of her DVD's you also use handweights, but she says to only use 3 pounds. She factors in some upper body movements with these weights, to get more of an overall workout. With Butts & Guts, it's lower rep than Tonique, and heavier weight and truly focused on Butt/Legs and Abs.

I like both DVD's however I grab for Butts & Guts more than Tonique. Tonique is a long, constant burn for me, and it makes me dread it a little. Sylwia is a good instructor, but not the best at cuing and can be hard to understand due to her strong accent.

If you haven't already, you can preview Tonique workouts on her website, I believe.

Hope that helps!

Thank you. I may add Tonique later, but I decided to go with B&G. I figure I can never go wrong with Cathe.

Butts and Guts Leg Blast Premix

I don't have Tonique either, but thought I would comment on Butts and Guts. I've had it maybe a year (?) and have always enjoyed it, but yesterday I tried the Leg Blast premix for the very first time and was surprised to find a whole new KILLER WORKOUT!!! I was dripping in sweat after the workout, and knew I was in trouble last night when I could barely walk down the steps! Today every muscle in my lower half is having trouble moving.

Butts and Guts is worth every penny, and the ab work and premixes are awesome!! You will love it!
