I have cathes s&h series,ps series, max int, cardio kicks, and they are all great. they mostly focus on building muscle for each body part, i am curiose to know what you all do for your butt and thighs.. Thanks, Denice

Me again...

I would say either Leaner Legs from the CTX series, Leg & Shoulders from the S&H series, or Strong Legs & Abs from the PS series. I must say, though, that I feel like my legs get the best workout from the step tapes. Have you considered buying a step tape and doing it at a low height at first? Just a suggestion. I am NOT a pro by any means - and for your sake I hope others chime in - just thought I'd give my two cents.

RE: Me again...

I have ps and s&h, I thought maybe some people do a tape more specifically for those 2 body parts like the other series. I will buy a stepp from cathe, still debating on which one for i dont really like the stepp and I need to find one that is ok for me with the choreography. So your saying to lose weight on your butt and thighs the stepp in your opinion is the best?????????

Well...

What I am saying is that those tapes seem to TONE those areas the best. As far as losing weight in that area - I have read that all around conditioning (using the concept of cross training) as well as 'clean diet' will help you achieve the results you want. In other words - it is hard to LOSE from an area specifically - its kind of an all over thing.

That said, I have had to just accept that no matter what I do, I will NOT have a flat stomach and I will STILL have thighs that tend to jiggle (this, and I feel like I am in good shape and at a good weight). I keep telling myself that it could be so much worse if I did nothing.

So, take heart. It sounds like you really are motivated to losing weight and getting in shape. This takes time! A while back I read an article in USA Today that offered three guidlines for overall fitness: 1 - Eat Less; 2 - Exercise More; 3 - Do it Forever!! That third one is a killer. Hang in there. Some of my friends eat all they want and never exercise AND are slim - but from the inside out I feel the best I can be...

Take care.

RE: Well...

Thanks so much Joanna, You were very helpful. Thanks for responding Denice

Hi Denice,
I saw great results with firming my butt and thighs with the PS series. The PS floorwork, in my opinion, is excellent at firming the inner thighs. And I was only doing the tapes once per week. I bet if you did the PS or the SH series once per week plus added in MIS once per week that you would see very good results for your lower body. Good luck.

RE: Well...

Hi Denice,
I think constantly changing your rotations and challanging the
muscles with different exercises is best, I also run in the nice weather - which for me has really helped with my lower body!!

Hi Denice! When I do Cathe's PS SL&A tape, I usually pause the tape and will do much more segments of squats, lunges as well as a side lunge and a one leg squat. I got these exercises from Brad Schoenfeld's book "Look Great Naked." I've definitely gotten stronger in my legs but I must say the leg section on lunges in Power Hour REALLY GETS ME!! It burns OH BABY and how!! Try it and see what happens. Its all in experimenting to find that magic potion that will work for your body. Good luck! Kathy
