Bursitis Tendonitis

Hi Cathe:

Eventhough I have bought almost all your videos (and let me tell you I love everyone of them) this is the first time I use this forum. I will like to ask you if you know what can I do for Bursitis Tendonitis. See, I was working out with one of your videos and I don't know if It was that I pushed so hard that after a month I started to feel some sharp pain on my right shoulder. So I decided to go to the doctor since I never felt this pain ever in my life. He dx me with Bursitis Tendonitis and told me that I probably needed to see an Orthopedic and that I might need injections. He also said that I might try to use Motrin for 7 days to bring down the inflamation. Well, after 7 days using the motrin it help but I still feel some disconfort.
I was wondering if you can please advice me or if you have any ideas...Pleeeeasseeee!!
I tried to workout yersterday with one of your videos and I got so frustated because I can hardly lift my right arm using 5lbs.

Thanks Cathe I hope to hear from you soon...Thank you so much for the wonderful videos....

Sincerely,
Doris

Hi Doris,

Not Cathe of course. I was recently dx'd with the same thing for my rotator cuff. I got the sharp pain in my left shoulder in late April and it worked its way to my right shoulder. I did yoga and got weekly massages before I finally went to the orthopedic surgeon. He ruled out impingement and recommended 2-3 days of PT for 6 weeks. I'm in my 2nd to 3rd week of PT. It has helped strengthen my rotator cuff and stretch out the fibrous capsule. I didn't get the shots because my inflammation was greatly reduced by the time I went to the doctor from massage and backing off upper body workouts. The aches and dull pain has really subsided. The sharp pain is gone.

Best of wishes for a speedy recovery!

Wendy
