Buns of hummus

Now that I've spent some time playing around with HTML :) I thought I'd post a question that has been bothering me forever.

I have buns of hummus. Not buns of steel, not even buns of crumpled up paper towel, just buns of hummus. They start wide at the hip bone and then just ripple into nothingness and blend into the back of my thighs.

I've been reading a lot here and I am working out and have greatly cleaned up my eating. Mostly I'm practicing patience with myself on my journey to - if not "ripped", then at least "firmer than current".

So here's my question. Has anyone else who might be genetically predisposed to the buns of hummus managed to really get somewhere with their bun shape through diet and exercise? Or should I work at practicing more acceptance and just be excited about my new little biceps? :7

Oh, you can totally do something about those buns of hummus! Mine used to be buns of marshmallow! I started off with kickboxing and that helped a lot. Then I moved onto weights and that helped TONS more! I still have a bit of jiggle, but there's steel under the slightly less steel-like exterior:)

Don't give up!

Thanks Shelley! Kickboxing is my favorite and I've been reading with interest people's reviews of Kim Spreen's Absolute Kickboxing and I'd love to get KPC but one of the voices in my head is saying to me must quit purchasing workouts/workout gear/workout clothes.

I only have one all weights Cathe - ME which I only have on VHS. Some of the other DVD's I have do have weights premixes.

Just really getting into working out on a serious level this year so I know I have a long way to go.

But slowly and surely the weight comes off and the jiggly bits are a little less jiggly.

:)

Thanks Liann! Just trying to make my goals reachable!

I had a butt that I swear hung to my knees. Leg presses, as much as I hated them, had a big part in perking that baby up. That area still needs work, but it's A LOT better than it used to be.
