Good Morning Ladies! Hope you had a great weekend! No workouts for me this weekend. STS Chest, Shoulders and Biceps today. I overslept by 30 minutes so I was really rushed. Skipped some sets of the push ups to save time.

It's the last Monday of the school year; woot-woot! I ended up not working out either Friday or Saturday because of family stuff, which really stunk because I ate terribly :eek:

Yesterday we took DS to the Zoo for the first time with the zoo pass we got at Christmas. It was such a beautiful day for it. I did Cardio & Weights last night plus a segment from Stretch Max. I'm still doing C&W without risers, but I can't believe how much my fitness levels have improved. The first time I previewed C&W, I watched the power squats in the last combo and thought I could never do them. Last night I couldn't help but laugh as I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror, totally rocking them out :eek:

Anyway, was up half the night with DS, who's suddenly not sleeping well. (Two-year molars?) I intend to do Kick Max tonight if I'm not too exhausted.

Heartymax - Good job fitting in your workout this morning. I know when I oversleep I usually just blow it off. There are MORE than enough sets of pushups in Meso 1 anyway so skipping some is no problem. ;)

Sam - Sounds llike a fun time at the Zoo. We haven't been there in years and whenever I bring it up the kids say it sounds "boring". :confused: C&W with or without risers is a great workout. I know the power squats you're talking about. Those are hard to do at the end of the workout. Hurray for the last Monday of the school year!

Glad I'm not the only one who missed workouts this weekend. DH went to Michigan for a birthday party so I was a single mom for a couple days. Took the kids to see Pirates on Saturday. DD slept in a box Friday night for a church service project to increase awareness of homelessness and raise money for local homeless shelters. Yesterday she had her first Marching Band practice for this fall's competitions. Here's what I did over the weekend. As you can see, Friday and Saturday were lazy.


Sunday - STS Disc 35 Plyo Legs
Monday - STS Disc 36 Shoulders, Bis, Tris - 3 sets
 
Hi,

I didn't do anything Fri. or Sun. Sat we did hill repeats on the bike. Today we will ride the tandem, probably doing hill repeats again.

Sue, congrats to DD for 1st chair. You can see I didn't get in many workouts either. You made up for it the last two days.

Sam, glad you had a good time at the zoo. DD8 went for the first time on Friday. Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight.

Evening Ladies,

I'm in all day meetings at work, so I'm hoping that I will be able to post when I get home. Both girls are at track meets tonight, so I'm home all by myself. Saturday was S90 Legs, and this morning was S90 Shoulders & Arms. Along with that I did the cardio segment from Barry's Bootcamp Shoulders & Back.

How is it that I can be so tired from not doing my normal job!:( I feel like taking a nap before DH gets home.

heartymax, Good job getting your workout done, I would take out push-ups also.;)

Sam, I think that my oldest can say that same thing, she is done as of Friday. What a great day to spend the time at the zoo. Did a lot of the animals venture out in the heat? Hope you are not to tired for Kickmax. I have always enjoyed the premix that puts the cardio first, then does the punching drills. I think it is the bootcamp challenge or something like that.

Sue, Glad your dd wasn't in that box last night! ;) And so the schoold functions continue. :D Seems that they never stop. How many more STS workouts do you have left?

Karen, Hill repeats don't sound all that much fun. :D Did you have tournaments again this weekend?

Hi ladies! Friday night got too busy so I did not get in Legs/Back. However, Saturday I woke up, did Legs/Back/Abs then took a little break and did KenpoX. Sunday I took a nice long walk, mowed the lawn and did stretching.
Today was Chest/Back and Abs.

Heartymax, good job sticking to your workout, even though you had overslept!

Sam, wish it was my last Monday of the school year! Hope your DS sleeps better tonight. I LOVE Zoos. I am lucky that even though my kids are older (14 and 11) they still like to go with me!:)

Sue, your DD sounds like a really great young lady.:D I don't know many teens who would sleep in a box to raise awareness. I know my DD wouldn't.

Karen, I think your "hill repeats" would probably do me in!:eek: I am sure they are great workouts!

Laurie, how much longer are you doing the S90 rotation? Enjoy your quiet night!

Hi! This weekend I did a run on Sunday...got caught in a tstorm and was hailing the last few mintues! This a.m. was MM upper body. And this aft an hour and a half of mowing :(

Sam, it´s been ages since I´ve done CW but I love that DVD!

Karen, I agree with Laurie, hill repeats don´t sound like much fun! But I bet they whip you into shape!

Laurie, just looking at your workouts makes me tired!
Sue, you must be about done with STS...what are your impressions? How did you like Pirates?..I´d go not only bcause I like these movies, but Johnny Depp is not bad to look at ;)

Susan, you are doing some nice workouts...sometiimes I double up too, if I´ve missed a day...sometimes!!
 
Today was Intensity Step and Hiit Lo premix! Love the music.

Sue--- Are you done with STS?? You must be proud of your DD for her desire to give back to the community. Many teens today only think about the "world" and unable to see struggles of others. What an outstanding mission.

lala---Hope you didn't get hurt from the hailstorm.:eek:

Karen---enjoy your bike riding!

susan---for some reasons...my weekends have been somewhat busy too. I don't know if I could do lawn mowing after a Leg workout the day before.

Sam---My kids still have about 18 days of school left (i think) and I work two weeks more after they do.....but I am still counting down. Congrats on the endurance of your cardio workout-----checking yourself out in the mirror is Cathe approved!:D You ROCK!

Laurie---I see you are still having fun with Supreme 90.
 
Hi there! Today was PlyoX for me. I really gave it my all and I actually felt very sick afterwards!:eek: My whole body was soakin'!

Lala, hope you survived the lawn mowing! Did you get hurt by any hail balls?

Heartymax, you must have a longer school year than us. We are done June 9th. You got a good workout in today!

STS Back and Triceps today. For some reason, I do not like cross body kick backs.

Susan-----Sounds like you deserve a rest after yesterday's workout:rolleyes:
Our school system starts school the last week of August and we have 4 snow days so that extends the school year a few days.

Hi! Today is a rest day. I figure with all my running that I will do an UB and full body and give myself an extra rest day:D It really is helpful with the school year coming to an end.

Yesterday was a 10K run. I have an app on my phone that tracks my runs but often it shuts down...which it did yesterday and I hate that. But I guess I can just go by how it felt...and it was pretty good!

Heartymax, I think we all have some exercises that we really don´t like (but we do anyway :))..mine are pushups...

Susan, what book did you choose? My parents are raving about Follet´s books and I just downloaded Pillars of the Earth to my kindle.

We finish school next Fri :D but these final days are hectic! Heartymax, you work 2 weeks after the kids are out??:confused:

Yesterday was busy. Worked until 4, went to a track meet, took DS to soccer, hurried to get to our bike ride, rode 48 miles at an average of 18 mph, then came home and put the kids to bed. Lucky I have other kids that can drive and get DD to softball and DS picked up from soccer. Today I just did Hi Reps upper. Still confused as to why there is no back work in that premix.

Lala, nice that running has become easier for you. You are really putting on the miles. I am registered for the 1/2 marathon in August. Are you still walk/running or do you do it all running now?

Heartymax, those tricep kickbacks are hard. Once my arms give way there is no way I'm getting those weights back up there and normally have to change to lighter weights.

Susan nice job on pushing yourself on P90X plyo. I did that workout one time and thought I was going to throw up. It only happened once out of all the times I did it though. I probably actually pushed myself that time. I try not to push myself to hard.:rolleyes: We are done with school one day before you are.

Hi Sue, Laurie and and Sam.

Ordered the graduation cake today. One week until the party. Time is sure going quickly. I have to remember to make the most of every minute with my family.

Hello everybody. Monday I was just too beat for a workout, so I did my grocery shopping instead. I was still beat last night, so I just did the Low Impact Kickbox premix on Kick Max. I still felt tired this morning, and then figured out early afternoon why I've been so tired... yup, the monthly gift :mad: Ah, well. Not sure what I'll do tonight. Depends how I'm feeling, but the good news is, I think I've pumped myself up with enough coffee and ipuprofen to get something done (sorry if this is all TMI :))

Susan - I cannot even comprehend an entire plyo workout. They are always my least favorite part of any workout. I think because I'm still overweight and any kind of jumping is still un-comfy.

heartymax - That sounds like a really good workout (your lo Intensity one). I'm pretty excited about the Low Hiit in the new series. My dreaded exercise is anything for shoulders... makes my neck hurt... bleh.

Hi guys! Quick checkin because I have a Jazz Band concert tonight and need to get going. Just wanted to say YES! I am done with STS. :D What an accomplishment and a great program.

I'm taking this week off from the weights before starting S90 next week. Haven't been getting my cardio in lately so I need to do that this week. Early morning yesterday and Football Meeting last night so no workout. This morning was KCM's TLC Boxing segment.

Sue! I just wanted to pop in quickly to say congratulations on completing STS! How do you feel? You are hardcore to take a quick week off and jump right into S90 :eek:
 
HI there! Yesterday was Shoulders/Arms/Abs. Today is YogaX but since this is a very long workout (90mn) I am only doing 60mn of it.

Sue, congrats on finishing STS! Awesome job!:eek: What kind of results do you think you had?

Lala, good job on the 10k the other day. You are just a little running machine. I got 3 books, all from authors I have never read before and I do not remember the titles!:rolleyes: I decided I needed to broaden out and read new authors.

Sam, hope you are doing better today. I am a bit strange in that I love jumping high. Must be from my cheerleading days!:eek:

Hey Karen! Yes, you are lucky to have drivers in your house that can help. Sounds like you have a great bunch of kids there.

No workout yesterday. I knew I had an evening event at school so I decided to go ahead and sleep in late. Got up this morning to do disc 9 STS Legs. I remember this one last time and I could barely walk the next day! I wonder what tomorrow holds??????

Sue---completing STS is truly a great sense of accomplishment! Enjoy your week off from weights----and catch up on that cardio.

TGIF! I'm so glad that I'm done with this Kaizen event. I was getting some overtime this week, and my boss told me to leave at three today. :D Only workouts I have gotten done in this time frame has been S90 Ultimate Ball and Shoulders & Arms. I forgot to set my alarm this morning, so didn't have enough time to get one in. Will get that done when I get home.

Last night I endured the cold to watch my oldest qualify in three events to advance to the state track meet in La Crosse. She has gone to state all four years, has one gold metal. I think they have a very good chance of getting a metal for their 4x200 team.

Sue, Congrats on finishing up STS!

Susan, I always liked breaking up YogaX also. I think that the first 45 min is all yoga, and then the last is more core/stretching.

heartymax, Hope you have a great weekend also.

Sam, That time always makes me tired also.

Karen, I still have to order the cake, but I have another two weeks yet. ;)

Lala, How do you like your kindle? I have wondered how it would be not to hold a book. WTG on the 10K run and feeling good.

Laurie - We do Kaizen stuff here, too. I'm not involved in it but I hear people talking about it. You should be so proud of DD! Going to State all 4 years - that's awesome. :) I can see where she gets her athleticism.

Last night I did Power Circuit cardio plus most of Results Lower Body. I know I said no weights this week but I kept them very light and my lower body needed something. Tonight I'm thinking about going for a walk and maybe doing some yoga. This weekend will be quiet. We're staying home to do yard work and housework. DD's marching band is in a parade on Monday so we'll watch that.

Hello! Today is Legs/Back/Abs. Saturday will be KenpoX and Sunday will be elliptical and StretchX.

Heartymax, hope your legs are not as sore this time around! Make sure to get a lot of stretching in. It will help.

Laurie, congrats to your DD! :D There is just something about Yoga I can't stand. I think it's because in pilates you are constantly moving and in yoga you have to hold the poses. I wanna be movin'!

Sue, what yoga do you enjoy doing? It's beautiful weather for a walk!

We have no plans for the weekend either. My friend is having a garage sale so I may head over there. She is my Avon rep and is selling some of her inventory!:)
