No workouts for me this weekend. Watched my youngest son play baseball....it was hot---- so who told them they should play an extra inning?????

I skipped my leg workout on Friday so I had to make it up this weekend. This is the end of Meso 1 for me. I will officially enjoy some cardio for my recovery week. I am looking forward to Meso 2 because it is my favorite.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Hi there! Starting Phase 2 of P90X today. Chest/Shoulders/Tris and get on the elliptical. I made a new album for my "transformation" on my profile if ya want to take a look! Not doing too bad!:)

My weekend was busy! Saturday a 60mn walk and lots of errands. Sunday stretching and pilates.

It was too darn hot here too! Not ready for this yet!

Check back later - Susan

Morning Ladies,

Well I can finally catch my breath! Have an official graduate in our house. This weekend was just crazy, and I'm glad that it is done. Went to the state track meet on Firday, and was able to watch dd run. They didn't quality, but they sure tried hard. It was really really hot in La Crosse! The only saving grace was the breeze.

No workouts this weekend, and I changed up my rotation a little. This is my last week of S90, but I felt like Power Hour this morning. :D So I guess that I really couldn't finish the whole thing without changing things up. ;)

heartymax, Oh I hear you on the heat! My oldest came back from the meet on Saturday with a really bad sunburn. The humidity is what really makes it hard to get outside. Yesterday was a really beautiful day though.

Susan, Keep up the good work! I had a really bad week and weekend of eating. Feel like a foiled all my hard work with S90! Will take a look at your album.

Have a great day!

Hi All! Well after a crazy last week of school I am back! Friday was my 10K and although I didn´t break my 10 min. mile, I was pretty satisfied with my time taking into consideration the heat! It was 90 and the humidity had to be close to that, too! So, that is my official beginning of summer:D:D:D

Sat I mowed for 2 hours and today did a slower 3.5 mile run.

Susan, I am jealous of your abs!!

Laurie, congrats on the track meet and graduation! These times are so special (but aren´t they all?!)

Heartymax, My favorite is Meso2, also. Are you doing the 3 cycles of STS again?

Hi Karen, Sue, and Sam!

Intensity Step and Hiit Lo this morning.

Lala---what a hot day for a 10 miler! Glad things went well in spite of the heat. I am doing Meso 1 and 2 again and then I will be on vacation for about 10 days. I probably won't do STS again until winter....maybe;) I really PUB, High Reps, Muscle Max so I think I will be looking forward to them when I return from vacation. I just don't want to lose the definition that I have gained this year so I may focus on hitting each muscle group 3 times a week vs.once just to change things up a bit.

Laurie----Congrats to your DD on graduation. Good for you to do Power Hour. I can't wait to do one of my old favorites. I let a friend borrow PUB and High Reps so she can try out Cathe, but I think I need to forewarn her that I am going to want them back right after vacation.

Susan----WOW----your abs definitely changed from phase 1 to phase 2. Was that 30 days...of course I know that came with super clean eating too!!! Congrats....Envision the change after this phase.

Hi, ladies! It's harder to check in when I'm home with my toddler for lunch than when I'm at work for lunch :) Had a good weekend. I've been doing the Slim Series "Slim Training" rotation since Thursday. These workouts don't look like much when you watch them, but they are TOUGH. I had the worst DOMS in my quads I've ever had over the weekend. It's the super high-rep floorwork that gets me. It really, really burns. Yesterday was Cool It Off!, the recovery/stretch workout, and today is Tear It Up!, which is supposed to be the toughest. None of them have been what I would call fun. In fact, they're pretty boring  and the music is AWFUL. But the instructor is good, and I just use the "music off" option and use my own. So, we'll see what happens. They certainly feel effective, and I'm sure I can handle a 4-week rotation.

Laurie, congrats to your DD! And congrats to you for being done with the graduation party! Power Hour looks like a good one. It's hard for me to stay away from Cathe for too long now that I've found her.

Susan, I'm going to check out your pictures when I'm done typing. Sounds like I'm going to be jealous of your abs :D

Lala, good for you running in the heat! And happy summer!

Heartymax, how many rotations of STS have you done? I really like Muscle Max, also. Can't decide if I like total body or splits better for weight-training. But, if there's one thing I've learned about fitness lately, it's that variety is the name of the game.

Have a great couple of days everyone! DH's b-day is tomorrow, and my day off of workouts. I'll be back Thursday.

Morning Ladies,

No workout for me this morning. My parents are headed home today, so I was visiting with them until I left for work. But I plan on doing a yoga workout when I get home.

Lala, Congrats on getting your 10K finished. DD and I where just talking about these milestones this morning. I was talking about DD14, and being surprised that she is going to be a freshman starting in the fall. Oldest said that she would be graduating sooner that I think. :D It just goes so dang fast now that they are getting older. :(

heartymax, That oldie is really a good one. I was surprised at how my chest is sore. I'm thinking that it was the fly's, S90 didn't have those in them. ;)

Sam, I can imagine that a toddler has much more energy, and wants your attention. ;) I still have the party to go through, but at least we don't have to be anyplace at a certain time, and have to deal with traffic. :D Sunday's graduation was crazy at the venue.

Have a great day!

Sorry I didn't checkin yesterday. My boss took me out for lunch yesterday for my work anniversary so there went my lunchtime websurfing time. Last night was DD's first softball game. DD had a great game but they lost.

Heartymax - I can't believe you're done with Meso 1 already! Bring on Meso 2. :)

Susan - I took a peek at your album and let me just say, "You are doing awesome!" So much ab definition already. You must be really doing a great job with your clean eating. Are you still doing no more than 15 grams of sugar?

Laurie - I was wondering how DD did at State. Such an honor just to participate. Congrats to your new Grad!

Lala - Congrats on your 10K! I don't envy you having to run in 90 degree temps and humidity but you FINISHED and that's awesome. So when is your next race? ;)

Sam - How long are the Slim Series workouts? DOMS in the quads is hard to get (for me) unless I'm using a machine at the gym (which I haven't done in years) so sounds like you're doing some really effective exercises. Happy Birthday to DH.

Here's how my weekend went:
Saturday - Housework
Sunday - S90 Cardio Challenge
Monday - S90 Legs
Tuesday - S90 Chest & Back

Loving these shorter workouts with Supreme 90. I don't feel exhausted afterwards and I can sleep a little later in the morning. At some point I may decide to add more cardio or walking in.

Hello! Today I woke up early and did PlyoX. Boy, my body does not like jumping so much in the morning. It was tough! Glad it's done though.

Thanks for the nice comments on my progress. Yes, I am eating very clean but I do sneak a treat here and there. Sue, as for sugar I know I keep it below 25 grams a day. I tend to eat a lot of fresh or steamed veggies, lean proteins and 100% whole grains.

Enjoy your evenings! I hope to sit down and read a bit! Keep cool, it's 92 here today!

Stay strong- Susan

Morning Ladies,

Yesterday I got in some yoga with Eion, and did the Magically Hips section of Power Yoga for Happiness. This morning was S90 Total Body and Cathe's Hiit Double Wave Pyramid.

My youngest dd has only 2-1/2 more days of school, and today she is at Six Flags. To bad her best friend doesn't like the big roller coasters, because dd loves them. :D

Sue, That is the same way I felt about S90, not exhausted. :D That is a nice feeling. Very nice that you get a lunch for your anniversary. My boss didn't even recognize my 10th here at work.

Susan, You are doing an awsome job on your P90X workouts. Keep up the good work. When I was going home last night, the temp gauge read 99 deg.

Have a great day!

Hello! Today was Back/Biceps/Abs and in a little bit I am getting on the elliptical. My biceps were so tired by the end of this workout. I could not lift one more thing! Not even my water bottle!

Laurie, I have never heard of those workouts. Are they "typical" yoga?

I am tired of this heat and ready for the cooler weather tomorrow!

Hope you all had a great day!

Susan

Morning Ladies,

This mornings workouts where S90 Cardio Challenge and Core Dynamics.

Susan, It is the combo of pull-ups and the biceps workouts. Takes a lot of work on the biceps to do pull-ups, so you really are doing double duty. ;) Loving this cooler weather also. :D

Have a great day!

Did Tear It Up! on Tuesday, as planned. It was definitely the toughest of the workouts. There is a section with deadlifts done very quickly that I have seen described as unsafe, so I was really careful about my form, but I've certainly been feeling it in my hamstrings (using only 3-pound weights!). I think I'm discovering that my muscle endurance was/is nil.

Tonight is Shape It Up! and tomorrow is Firm It Up! (the lower-body one... I'm already dreading it! :p)

Sue- Four of the six workouts (including the stretch one) are 58 minutes, and the other two are 78. I usually work out that long anyway, but since these are, um, boring... they can feel a bit longer :) The quad DOMS came from a floorwork exercise I had never done before. It's coming up again tonight and I hope to see some improvement.

Susan- Yup. Totally jealous of your abs over here! Very inspiring, though. I gave up sugar for Lent, and I've been trying to continue it, but it seems without religious inspiration I'm hopeless!

Laurie- Sounds like you're getting in some really intense workouts!

Hi, Heartymax!

Have a great day everyone. I sent my son to the sitter so I could clean today, and I better get back to it. Bleh.

Despite vacation, I guess I´m finding it hard to check in! Yesterday I interviewed candidates for jobs at our school and did not workout. Today was a run. I found a new app: micoach which is sponsored by adidas and am trying it out.
Did LIC on Tues

Heartymax: you are really dedicated! Keep up the STS!

Sam: who does Tear it up! and Shape it up? I have heard, too, about deadlifts being unsafe, but like you, believe that you just have to watch your form.

Laurie, How much longer for your S90s? Sounds like your kids are getting out late from school

Susan, was you b/bis/abs from P90X? My tris feel like that after Cathe´s GS!

Sue, congrats on your work anniversary! That was really nice of your boss!

Hi Karen!

Hey there! Last day of school! :D I have to mow the lawn and then plan on doing Pilates Advanced.

Lala, yes, for the next 6 weeks all my workouts are P90X, except pilates!;)

I love this cooler weather much better than the 92 degrees!

Have a great evening ladies!

Susan

No workouts for me! Yesterday I decided to take a rest day but had planned to workout. Hubby mistakenly turned off the AC and the temps are in the high 90's so it took a while for the house to cool off last night. Both boys decided to sleep in the basement which is my workout space so I didn' t get to workout this morning. I really need to step up my cardio the next few days because I want to keep my results and get more results!!!

7 more days of school for the kids!

After two days off, I opted for a long workout this morning. I did the 73 minute Bootcamp premix of BodyMax2. I have never done that option before and I really like it. Kind of reminded me of the Jillian workout when I do cardio, weights and abs...except with much more intensity of course:D

Sam---I purchased STS earlier this year and finished the 3.5 month rotation and decided to start over and do Meso 1 and 2 again. I really like Meso 2 alot. After the first rotation, I was able to do push ups on my toes by the end of Meso 2 and I have never been able to do any on my toes. Therefore, I was looking forward to Meso 1 again because it has so many push up options. Of course, I still couldn't do all on my toes, but I felt more confident.

Susan----I am sure the kids are happy to be out. My kids still have more days and my middle school student still has major tests and projects going on. What happened to a mental break the last few days of school??

Laurie---are you enjoying that new ball??

Hi lala and Sue!

Morning Ladies,

No workout for me yet, my stomach was not feeling all that great this morning. Will get in Power Hour when I get home, of course that will depend on how I'm feeling. Have DD18's graduation party planned for tomorrow, just hoping that this rain goes away.

Sam, Your legs are getting a great workout in. It is all in the shock the body! :D Doing something different always seem to do that to me. After Power Hour on Monday (which I have not done in ages) I was surprised how sore I was. One would thing that I hadn't been working out for ages.

Lala, When you are busy you are busy. I'm sure that you will get into that routine again, of course then you will have to change again in Sept! ;) I'm actually done with S90 as of yesterday. I'm going to be doing a variety of workouts for the summer. Pulling out Pure Strength, Barry's Bootcamp 5 Day Academy and CTX Parts. I was kind of testing Power Hour for the full body workout, and I might try out the STS one also.

Susan, I think my youngest dd has to be at school this morning for 2 hrs. I kind of think why? But I'm sure she will be happy to be home about now I'm guessing. :D

heartymax, Wow you kids are in school for another 7 days! Do they start later in Sept? That sounds like a good premix, just wish I had 73 min. in the morning to do workouts like that. Wait! What am I saying Bodymax is on the step, and I have given up doing step workouts because of my dang knee. :(

Have a great day!

Hi all. Nothing so far today...am hoping the rain stops to do a short run and then some full body. Maybe power hour...thanks for the idea, Laurie!

Tomorrow I leave for AP reading and the day after I get back for an AP seminar, so may not be on for a while and may not get much working out

Laurie, hoping for nice weather for the party!

Heartymax, that premix sounds good. That might be a good one for today if the rain doesn´t stop! As you can see, I´m pretty undecided about what to do today!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Just did Firm It Up! (lower body) and I'm so happy it's over! That is one unpleasant workout :) I could be imagining things, but I think I'm seeing some new results from Slim Series already. For one thing the two workouts I've repeated were already easier the second time around (particularly yesterday's), and ALL the ab portions (there are abs every day!) have gotten less painful. Last week, I couldn't do the scissors at the end, I was so worn out, but today I did them. Woot! I don't know about visible results, but you know how when you feel stronger, you automatically feel like you look better, too? Yeah.. that :)

Lala- All the workouts are from Slim Series by Debbie Siebers of Slim in Six fame. They aren't that fun, but I think they're working quite well for me.

Heartymax- I don't know when, but at some point I'll have to purchase STS (maybe a year from now? ). I've heard from a few people now that STS is how they started doing push-ups on their toes. That's always been a goal of mine.

Laurie- I hope you feel better and can get your workout in. Enjoy the party tomorrow!

Hi Susan! Hi Sue! Have a great weekend everybody. I've got a Brewer game tomorrow and the symphony on Sunday :D
