Had a busy weekend. Needed to catch up on some household shopping. DS10 had his last regular season baseball game. The won. It was great seeing how the team improved so much from the beginning of the season to the end of the season. They didn't win many games but overall they improved so much by the end when they started to win a few games. I spent some time hanging out with my cousins on Saturday and Sunday evening.

As for workouts...
Saturday: 45 minutes elliptical
Sunday: Too tired from Saturday:D
Monday: STS M2W3 Legs and 30 minutes on the elliptical ....I hope I am able to walk tomorrow.

Both boys have medical appointments so I am not working today...which made room for me to get in those two workouts.
 
Good morning! Friday was HIS, Saturday was a 30 min. run (and walk), and yesterday was yardwork for what seemed like an eternity :p

Last night as we were relaxing after our long day, I realized my throat felt scratchy. Took a couple home remedies right away, but it's worse this morning :( Ugh. The worst part of a cold, in my opinion, is the sore throat. I'd rather just have the whole cold. At least I can medicate that.

Heartymax- Sounds like you had a nice weekend. It's always nice to finish the season with a W.

Brenda- We attacked the ants on Saturday and yesterday. It's gross! We killed millions, I'm sure, but there are still a lot there. DH seems determined to win, but I'm not sure if we'll be able to. YuckyuckyuckyuckyuckYUCK!

I have a meeting this morning and dinner out with the faculty tonight. Probably no workout. I hate the feeling of breathing heavily with a sore throat, even though I could probably eek something out.

Morning Ladies,

Had a very busy weekend, but I managed to get in Yoga Warrior on Friday after work, Muscle Max on Saturday morning and S90D Cardio Challenge on Sunday morning. I didn't get to sleep last night until after 11pm, so I didn't workout this morning, and I have a hair appointment after work. Still going to try to get in my PS Back, Biceps, Chest, Shoulders & Triceps after that appt.

Sunday was our first rehearsal for the faire, and with the beautiful day we had it went really well. On Friday we start our vacation, so this week will be very busy. I found a swim suit on Saturday, and that made me very happy. :D

Sam, Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. Hope that sore throat goes away quickly. ;) Just get rid of the queen ant, and your problems will go away. ;)

Brenda, Isn't it nice to have a little extra time to get in some additional exercise. That is why I have been doing workouts after work. ;)

HI there! Saturday was a 5 mile run, Sunday was spent diggin the yard, planting, weeding etc.. Today I got on the elliptical for 40mn.

Graduation party was fun on Saturday. It's always nice to see family!:D

Heartymax, way to go on those workouts!

Sam, hope your sore throat clears up fast! I agree the throat is the worst part...

Laurie, you sure managed to get a lot in for being so busy this weekend!:eek: How do you do it??

Good Evening Ladies!

I didn't post at lunch time. I had a slight case of the crabbies so I thought I'd sit outside in the fresh air in the hopes that it would make me feel better. Not so much because my co-workers decided to join me and a couple of them were getting on my nerves today. They really need inside voices. I've never know two people to talk as much to themselves as they do. I was looking for some peach and quite while I was eating my lunch and unfortunately that didn't happen. Right now I'm sitting in my very quite house. Don't even have the TV on.

I too had a busy weekend. As for workouts, Saturday morning I did Cardio Coach Press Play. Had a great workout. Sweat like crazy!! Sunday was my off day (off of working out anyway). Saturday did my AM grocery trip and then spent the rest of the day doing laundry and replanting some stuff in my garden that appears pretty dead. Got DH ready to head out early Sunday AM for Michigan for the week. Sunday we were up at 4am got DH out the door and I got my lunch ready for today and then decided it wasn't even 5am and I was going to crawl back into bed and rest and see if by some odd chance I'd be able to fall back asleep... Hah.. fat chance of that happening. Talked to DH once he got close to Milwaukee and then decided I should just get up and get moving. Did stuff in the house and by 6:30 am I was down by my parents weeding and planting. Got done with that and did the trimming in our yard, got myself cleaned up and dressed up like a hippie to walk in the Newburg parade with the crew from No No's Restaurant. Our thing was "occupy Newburg", she made it more funny than political, which I was happy to see that. Had fun with that. Came back home and weeded and tilled up the dirt where I wanted to put my little herb garden so I finally got that all planted. Then had dinner with my parents. I was so tired by the time night came I thought for sure I wouldn't have an issue sleeping. I was up and down all night. Not sure if I was over tired or if it was because my DH was gone. Could have been a combination of the two I guess. I'll stop going on and on.

Heartymax - awesome job on the workouts. Congrats to DS on the win!!

Sam - I had that ant issue when I was doing my herb garden. That is so gross. Makes my skin crawl. I don't think my ant hill was as bad as yours though. Take care of that sore throat. Hope it doesn't get any worse.

Laurie - after having such a busy weekend and an upcoming busy week, hopefully you'll get to relax once your vacation starts.

Sue - I was there with you on the yard work this weekend. We had nice weather for it. Not too hot and not too cool. Granted it was a tad windy on Saturday, at least by me it was.

Brenda---we have been so busy with the kids activities until our yard is screaming for a little attention. Other than mowing the lawn, DH hasn't had time to do anything else.

Sam---our kids get out of school on Monday coming up so just a few more days left. Starting tomorrow, they get out 2 hrs. early each day left so that is good.

Susan---this is a busy and fun time of the year with graduation parties. DH and the boys went to two parties on Sunday but I hung out with my cousin who is in town for her neice's graduation. She is here for two weeks so the weekend is the only time I can hang out with them in the evenings.

Laurie----yeah---glad you found a swim suit that you like.

Hello! Today was lower body strength and ab work. Since it's a new month I changed up my rotation and picked a different lower body workout to do. I liked it a lot. I was a sweaty mess so it must be good!:D

Brenda, yes, the weather was perfect for planting this weekend. I want to buy one more perrennial and then I think I am done..:confused:

Sam, today is the last day of school for my kids!!:D I am so glad it's over! Seemed to go by very fast this year but I think that's because I went back to work full-time.

Morning Ladies,

Got home to late after my hair appt. to attempt anything as far as workouts. This morning I did Killer Buns & Thighs Level 1, and right now I am thinking why don't I do these workouts more often what a sweat fest. My thighs are sore! :eek: Workout this evening will be PS Upper Body that I missed yesterday, or PS Legs & Abs. Will decide when I get home. ;)

Susan, Glad you had a good time at the party. I'm sure that there will be some in our neighborhood during the next few weekends. Must have been the morning to sweat! I don't know where I'm getting my workouts in on busy weekends, but I do get up pretty early :(. So used to getting up at 4am, that it is hard not to on the weekends.

Brenda, Busy weekend for you! I'm looking forward to lot's of walking around in the next week. :D

heartymax, We had a Jillian day! She surprises you, at least the workout did for me this morning. I'm not usually this sore from a lower body workout. I'm going to do some more tweaking on my rotation, and start including more of the Killer workouts on my Tuesdays.

Good morning! I opened my mouth to tell DS I'd be in in just a minute to get him up and dressed, and nothing came out! :confused: After coughing a few times, I could talk again, but, sigh... I guess I have to admit I'm sick.

Actually, I feel better because the sore throat is much better and it's mostly congestion at this point. I think I'll do a Leslie later, but nothing that'll make my head spin.

I'm headed to Target to get a few things, and I plan on grabbing some grapefruit juice. I always crave it like crazy when I have a cold.

Brenda- Yeah, it's a whole area that wraps around the corner of our house, more of an ant city or nation than just an ant hill :) There are a LOT fewer of them, now; but the whole area reeks of vinegar. You can see they're trying to rebuild everything. DH plans to just keep pouring the boiling water on them day after day until they give up or he gets the queen(s).

Susan- Every year goes faster than the last. It's crazy. Happy summer to you!

Heartymax- So close! Two hours early! Wow! That's nice.

Laurie- Where'd you find a suit? I have such issues with them. They never seem to have enough support up top, even in one pieces.

Good Afternoon ladies!

I'm in a better state of mind today. Slept better last night.

This morning I did Body Max2 Cardio blast premix. I always have fun with that one.

Heartymax - my cats are my kids so I have the time to do all that yard work. Aside of the fact, as crazy as it might sound, I don't mind it. Cardio Fusion.. love that workout!!

Susan - Once I get my weeds in my flower bed under control, I want to change out a few shrubs. There are a few I don't like and aren't doing that well so sometime this summer want to dig those up and plant something else.

Laurie - which Jillian DVD would you recommend trying for a first time being exposed to Jillian.

Sam - Glad the sore throat is gone but it stinks that you're congested. I hope your DH wins the war against the ants.

Morning Ladies, :D

My stomach wasn't feeling all that great last night, so I did some planting of flowers in my rock garden. I needed to get those in before we left on Friday anyway, so it worked out just fine. This morning I did PS Back, Biceps, Chest, Shoulders & Triceps. Plan on doing something after I get home from work, just don't know if what I want to do yet.

Sam, So sorry that you are sick, there is another bug going around right now. Take care of yourself. ;) I purchased the suit at Kohl's. The bottoms and top are like some of my yoga outfits but with more support. ;) The shorts are really cute.

Brenda, Glad to hear that the crabbies have left. Have you ever done a Jillian workout? Some people don't like her instructing style. I am able to ignore some of the things that she says. Anyway the workouts of hers that I recommend are Six Week 6 Pack, this one has two levels and reminds me of Cathe's CCC. Killer Buns & Thights has three levels all around 40 min., this is done in a circuit style (do 4 rounds of exercises, repeating each circuit once more.) Banish Fat Boost Metabolism is around 55 min., and this one is done circuit style like KBT, but uses no weights at all. All the circuits have exercises in them that you would see in the Weider workouts or Insanity.

Not much new to report today. Had X-Factor Wk 6 & LIS Bonus Step.

I have a chiro appt after work tonight, which is probably a good thing, my left knee still has been bothering me a little.

Laurie - I hope you feel better before your trip. I haven't done any of Jillian's workouts. I just might have to by one of those to give it a try and see what I think.

Everyone else must be super busy today.

Sorry I've been MIA. I was off on Friday and I have a summer student reporting to me who started on Monday so been busy keeping him busy.

Heartymax - Your DS's baseball team sounds like my DD's softball team last year. It was neat to see them come together and work as a team and improve.

Sam - I hate sore throats. Are you taking anything to numb it until it gets better?

Laurie - Hard to believe it's almost time for the Faire again. It's hard to find a swim suit that you like (at least it is for me) so you should be happy for that. I still haven't tried Jillian's Killer Buns yet. Maybe after STS.

Brenda - How fun that you dressed like a hippie to "Occupy Newburg"! I 2nd Laurie's recommendation for those Jillian workouts. Both make me sweat like crazy.

Susan - I did Pilates for the first time in a long time. It was a lot harder than I remember. I think reading about you doing it all the time inspired me to try it again.

Finished up STS Disc 11 & 12 last week so this is my active recovery week. I did MMA Kickbox on Sunday and Coach to 5K Week 2 Day 1 + Winsor Pilates Maximum Burn 28 min. on Monday. Yesterday turned into a rest day. I will do something tonight - either Coach to 5K or some fun cardio.

Hello! This morning was a 4 mile run but it was painful.:( Lately after my runs my heel/ankles are very sore for 2-3 days. It hurts to walk. Today during my run it really acted up and I kept having to stop and stretch and try to run again. It was awful but it did finally get me to realize I need to back off on the hi-impact for a while until it heals. Hopefully it's just tendonitis or something. I will be riding bike and elliptical for now and some kick boxing too. It hurts to have any amount of pressure on my heels.

Laurie, I am thinking of getting a new suit this season but I really like the one I have so I may not!:D

Sue, glad all is well. My DD has asked me to teach her pilates over the Summer to get in shape. So starting Monday after I get home from work we will do 30-45mn of Pilates 3 days a week and she is going to walk the dog with me 3 nights too.

Brenda, my first Jillian was Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and I still love it!

Only workout that I did was this morning with 10lb Slimdown Xtreme Kickboxing. :D I'm trying to get as much done at home before we leave tomorrow, so I spent some time collecting all the clothes that I think I might bring. :rolleyes: Needed to clean the house up a little also.

Brenda, Hope that knee starts feeling better soon. Jillian is a good instructor, you just have to ignore some of the comments she makes. ;)

Sue, Congrats on finishing up M1! :D We have a lot of interns around here, and they are constantly coming into the office to bother my co-worker. :eek: Oh do try the Killer Buns workout, my legs are still sore today! :eek:

Susan, Dang on the heel/ankle pain, do take the time off of the hi-impact so that it starts feeling better. Sounds like you have a solid plan for workouts that you can do. ;) I think my last suit was well over 5 years old, so I guess it is about time that I got a new one. :rolleyes: :D How wonderful that your DD asked to workout with you, I'm still waiting for that. But then my girls like to go for runs, and I don't do that to often anymore.

Hi all. I've got to make it quick because I'm headed out to pick up my first CSA share in a few minutes. I'm excited. :D

No workouts. I'm feeling perfectly fine, but I have a terrible cough that's aggravated very easily, so heavy breathing is kind of out :( Sometimes I'll just swallow wrong and I'll start going for about 5 minutes. Anyway, I'm going to try again tomorrow.

My brother and I are headed to my school tonight to clean out my classroom. Since he's a teacher, he's going to take everything he wants. Good for both of us!

Sorry I havent posted the last couple of days. I have been really busy. Today was DS14 8th grade promotion. I am a bit nervous about sending him off to high school.

Laurie---have fun on your vacation. 17 days until my departure.

Susan---oh my! I know how much you love to run. I hope your foot heals soon and not anything too serious. At least you have a back up plan so you can continue with your workouts.

Sue---Meso 1 went by fast. I am down to my last two disc of M2 and then it will be two weeks before my vacation. I think I may do some total body workouts during those two weeks or just anything totally fun.

Sam----I bet your brother is excited to get your educational items. Teachers have soooo much stuff:D. I know you are looking forward to being home. You are planning to homeschool right??

Yesterday was a rest day because Tuesday night was long with games, medical appointments after work. I felt like I was spinning when I went to bed so I took a rest day on Wednesday. Today was M2W4 chest, shoulders and triceps.
 
Good Morning Ladies!!

Yesterday I needed to sit outside at lunch time. It was an absolute crazy day at work so it was time to step away and get some fresh air and sun. Yesterday I did X-Factor Wk 6 and 20min on the elliptical. Went with that since the knee was bothering me a bit, felt it was safer.

Today I have a vacation day.. yeah!!! This morning I did Amy Bento's Advanced Step Challenge 2, I did one of the 70+ min premixes. Had a great workout. I was a sweaty mess. Knees held out really good. Low back felt tight but hung on the inversion board afterwards so that always helps. Today I have myself on a mission to get certain things done. We'll see how I do. My DH was gone all week and comes home tomorrow morning....can't wait to see him. Then he heads out again on Sunday for another week and then back next Saturday.

Sue - I was wondering where you were. Glad everything was okay and you were just super busy. Is this your first time with a summer student or have you done that before?

Susan - Be careful with that foot/ankle. I know you love running and I commend you for that but I agree that you need to stick with low impact and let it heal. You don't want it to get so bad that it puts you completely out of commission. I think that is so cool that your DD asked you to teach her pilates over the summer.

Laurie - Have a safe trip. Enjoy yourself. Time away is always nice but it seems like you run around so much before to get things done before you leave so you don't have to deal with them when you return. Have fun!!

Sam - Was it sad/happy moment when you cleaned out your class room? Not to ask a stupid question but what is CSA? Glad you are feeling better. Hope that cough goes away.

Heartymax - Congrats to your DS14 on his 8th grade promotion. I don't have kids but I an only imagine what it feels like when you child takes that next big step into high school.
