Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. We had family over and it was nice. The kids had so much fun. I got to see my twin great-neices who are now 3 months old. They are just too adorable. I went to a surprise party for my cousin on Saturday. It was an evening back yard party with some late night munchies...yummy---but definitely not good to eat late at night. Saturday was cardio on the elliptical and today was Burn Sets Bi's and Tri's with core 1. Tomorrow morning we head to the beach for the rest of the week. I plan to get up and get in my workout in the morning before we leave.

Good morning! I am back from the Ozarks and very relaxed. I did one yoga workout with my phone app, and three homemade30/30 Hiit workouts in our bedroom, and that's it. The trip was very relaxing. Lots of time on the water, lots of laying around and doing nothing :)

Eating was TERRIBLE! But it almost couldn't be helped. Our host, Bryan's uncle, does not like vegetables. There were almost none in the house. When I got back, I weighed myself, and I had gained ten pounds! BUT... after only ONE day of normal eating, seven of them were gone already! So... it was all bloat from the wheat and salt. SO MUCH wheat and salt! :)

We got back Friday. Saturday I ran sprints with the dog, alternating with walking, and yesterday I took a long leisurely stroll with the dog again, but not a formal workout. We also had brunch with some friends who are expecting their first baby, and they asked us to be Godparents! We're so touched and excited! He's due next Friday, and I cant' wait to meet him.

I'm planning on Cardio and Weights today. I thought it would be a fun one to come back to.

Heartymax- Have a great vacation! I've got another one coming up next week, too!

The weekend was very busy not much down time. I'll take my yard work any day than going back to work work.

Saturday I did MMA Kickbox, I had fun with it. Sunday was no workout but cleaning and yard work is a workout in itself. This morning I did Athletic Training. Love that workout.

Heartymax - enjoy your week at the beach. I hope you have good weather.

Sam - Isn't amazing how quickly you can gain weight. Glad you enjoyed yourself. Nice that you have another vacation coming up soon!

Good afternoon. I did Cardio and Weights yesterday as planned, and just finished the second half of Cardio Leg Blast. I'm easing back in to the more intense cardio. I think I'll get back in to the heavy lifting in the fall. I really enjoy it, but it makes me retain water, and I'd like to save that for the time of year when clothes are a bit more forgiving :p I am, however, going to start doing dumbell swings most days, and a set of heavy deadlifts two or three times per week. I keep reading that swings and heavy deadlifts are the best way to lift your behind, and my behind could really use some lift.

Brenda- I'm just glad it's pretty much gone already. The next trip should be easier on my waistline, since I'll be with my family, and we tend to all eat our veggies. I love Athletic Training too. I don't have another workout like it.

Good Afternoon!

I started eating my lunch outside and kept an eye on the sky. It started thundering so I headed back in to finish my lunch and good thing I did because it didn't take to long and it started pouring and it still is.

This morning I did Amy Bento's Kickbox Extreme. Haven't done that one in I can't tell you how long. It was fun.

Heartymax - Have a wonderful time!!

Sam - I always need to be careful with the heavy lifting with my legs. It seems like they thicken up pretty quick and never seems to go away until I back off the heavy weights. Don't you feel so accomplished when you lift heavy? I know I do.

Hello ladies. I just finished my workout: the step from Step Jump & Pump and the "down" premix from PUB. The heavy lifting helped me with this one. For the first time ever, I matched Cathe's weights for every rep, including biceps, which I've never done for that workout. Though, I had to take a couple rests in between sets for biceps ;) I think I could have gone heavier for back, which I think I'll try next time.

Brenda- My arms were getting a bit puffy. Probably my legs, too, but I don't notice because I rarely wear long pants in the summer. I do love lifting heavy. I get a rush from it that comes pretty close to a cardio high. I'll definitely go back to it in the Fall.

My godson was born this morning... AT HOME! And they weren't planning on a home birth! Both mama and baby are doing fine. I can't wait to meet him :D

Is everyone out of town? I hope everyone is doing great!
 
Sam--an unexpected home birth----WOW--glad everyone is fine!! Cathe really knows how to encourage you to take the lighting to a new level. My knees and shins bother me from heavy weighted leg work.

Yesterday's workout was 2.5 mile run on the treadmill here in the hotel gym along with some chest and shoulder strength training. Today was a 40 minute walk on the treadmill and 20 minutes of biceps and triceps and 20 pushups.

I have had one glass of wine and two ice cream custards so good thing I'm working out on vacation.

Yesterday I had lunch outside and had a funeral after work so I got home late and didn't even get on the computer. Yesterday I did SuperSets. She doesn't go very heavy on some of the exercises in there, which kind of surprised me so I went with a weight to challenge me and that it did.

Today I did the warm up and cardio portion of Bootcamp followed by Athletic Step. My left hip was bothering me a little through my workout and then it seemed to have gotten better but know it's been bothering me all morning. I'm hoping it'll get better as the day goes on.

Sam - Good mix up on the workout. Are you getting a nice set of pipes. :D Congrats on the new baby!! How exciting. Bet you can wait to see him. Glad everyone is doing well.

Heartymax - Good for you for working out while on vacation. Ice Cream custard sounds yummy!!

Good morning! I just finished Rhythmic Step. My body is not used to 60 minutes of steady state cardio. I'm dripping!

Heartymax- Your treats so far are still less than what I treat myself to in an average week :eek: Maybe that's why I can't get rid of my extra padding :D

Brenda- That's quite the workout you did this morning! I don't have Supersets, but I hear it's a good, simple workout.

I get to see the baby tomorrow night! I'm very excited. I'm babysitting my little cousin this afternoon, so I have to get the house tidied up.

This morning I did High Step Challenge.

Tomorrow DH & I have a couples massage in the afternoon for my birthday. :) Then tomorrow night we'll go to No No's for dinner. Looking forward to it.

Sam - After all these years I still have not attempted Rhythimic Step. I'm concerned it might be a little too much twisting and turning for my legs to handle. Have fun tomorrow meeting the baby.

Hello! No workout today. I've been too busy packing and getting some enchiladas together to take to my friends' house this evening. Just wanted to say hi, and that I probably won't be able to check in much, if at all, next week, but I'll be taking all my dumbells up to 15# with me, and quite a few dvds :D

Brenda- HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Is it today? I hope it was a wonderful day. You certainly got gorgeous weather! There is a lot of twisty turny stuff in Rhythmic Step, though, I don't think it's any more than Step Blast, if you can do that one.

Happy Bday Brenda!!

Today's workout was 30 minutes on the treadmill. I jumped on the bike for 10 minutes but couldn't get comfortable on the seat so I called it a day.
