Happy Independence Day to everyone!

I started my morning with STS Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. My original plan was to do Meso 1 and 2 again since I was going to be leaving for vacation. Even though my plans changed and I will be home, I do not think I am going to do Meso 3. I am ready for a change and looking forward to doing some old favorite workouts. I am ready to put STS away for a while.

This morning was Cardio Blast premix from Low Impact Circuit. I have a presentation for my class on Thursday so I will be working on that this afternoon.
 
HI gang! Today is 2 a day! I have to do Chest/Back/Abs and then PlyoX. I was supposed to do Chest/Back yesterday but by the time we got home, unpacked, etc... I was too tired! Was happy to see that I did not gain any weight over my little trip. I ate pretty well over all, but I did indulge a bit as well!;) Back on track today! My last 30 days of P90X!

Heartymax, hope you are enjoying your quiet time. I enjoyed our 4th but was ready for it all to be over too! Walked the kids down to the park to watch the fireworks. They were pretty good for such a small town.

Hope you all have a great day! My DH's cell phone finally died and I get the pleasure of driving to the Verizon store and getting him a different one. I hate dealing with those people!:confused:

Morning Ladies,

No workouts for me after dealing with my root canal on Friday, I gave it a rest on Saturday also. My mouth was still a little sore. Sunday we had to get out the door for dress rehersal, and it went really well. Yesterday was the start of TOM, and I was just not feeling the love for exercise. :eek: This morning was 10 Days to a Better Body with Cindy Whitmarsh Lower Body portion, and Stretchmax workout #1. Will probably do something else later today.

Today we are going to UW Whitewater to drop oldest off for her summer courses. So far we have two bins full of things (one is all bed linen of course). Then I have to prepare youngest for her confirmation camp next week. Her list was larger than the oldests. :D At the end of next week we will have an empty next for three days. :eek:

heartymax, Sounds like you had a relaxing weekend. You did a great job with the STS workouts, and I'm sure that you will enjoy the change of pace with different workouts.

Susan, Last month of P90X, that is awsome. You are doing a great job. I found that I really need to make sure my rotation incorporates either upper body or yoga on Monday. My feet hurt from being on my feet all day Sunday.

Heartymax - Sounds like a good idea to put STS to rest after Meso 2. Your body will probably respond to something new and it's good to take a psychological break, too, IMO so you don't get bored.

Susan - Good job not gaining any weight and good luck on your last 30 days! I know you'll do great.

Laurie - Is your mouth still sore? Sounds like you took a few much needed days off. I can tell you're anxious to get back at it though. Upper body, gentle yoga or stretching on Mondays after your Faire weekends sounds like a good plan. 2 big bins already? Remember those dorm rooms aren't that big! LOL (Unless they've expanded them since I went to school 25 years ago - yikes!)

Had a fun, relaxing weekend but also some bad eating so good thing I got some workouts in to counter the effect. On Saturday I did a double w/o to catch up (S90 Ultimate Ball and Tabata Interval). Sunday was rest and yesterday was another double (S90 Chest, Shoulders, Triceps and S90 Legs). This morning was S90 Cardio Challenge. My lower abs were so sore on Sunday after Ultimate Ball but I think it did some good. I was able to do more of the scissor abs in S90 Legs than I usually do.
 
Hi All! Sat. was Power Hour, yesterday I did 4DS chest/tris/shoulder and a short bike ride with DH. Today I ran 3.5 mi and some core work

Our fourth was quiet, spent it with DD22 and watched fireworks.

Karen, after my very short (5 mile) bike ride I am once again in awe of your 100+ miles!!

Laurie, good luck to DD! and enjoy your 3 "empty nest" days :) Hope your tooth is feeling better!

Sue, Sometimes I double up on workouts, too! Sounds like you got some good ones in...and at the same time enjoyed your weekend.

Susan, Only 30 days to go..nice!

Heartymax, I know the feeling of moving on to something else, but I have never done STS twice through like you have...after one rotation I am done for about 6 months! Good luck on your presentation.
 
HI there! Today is Shoulders/Arms/Abs and then the elliptical.Got lots of cleaning I want to do as well.

Laurie, hope you enjoy your quiet 3 days. Bet your DD's will have fun.

Sue, you got a lot of good workouts in over the weekend. You seem to be liking the S90 series as well. Are all the workouts shorter (30 mn or so?)

Lala, are you planning any more races any time soon? I too am amazed by Karen's ability to ride that far!:)

I just couldn't do the last two discs in MESO 2....I was so ready to move on to something else. Today was HIGH REPS!!!!! O---M----G!!!!! I had so much fun doing this workout today. What an awesome change for my body. I had to remind myself to go light with these high reps. My entire body is screaming it feels so good!!!

The counseling office is open once a week so today is my day to work...gotta run. Have a hair appt. after work so I will try to check in later today.
 
Morning Ladies,

Barry's 5DA Shoulders & Back and Insanity Fast & Furious for me this morning.

Got oldest off to her summer courses yesterday, and she is in one of the new dorms. It has 4 single bedrooms, a kitchen without a stove ;), a sitting area and seperate double sink, bathroom, closet and shower. I think that this is about a year old. Really nice. She has a desk, short dresser, bed and an open closet. Super nice, but then when she starts in the fall she goes to the old dorms. ;)

Sue, No my mouth was only sore on Saturday, alot of it due to all the stuff they try to put in your mouth! :rolleyes: I could probably light up in the dark from all the digital x-rays they took. That is the part that scraped up my mouth, they have to put plastic over everything now. :confused: Yep she is ready for the small dorm rooms, but she is really enjoying what she has right now. :D We packed her clothes in one bin (which all fit in the dresser). We found the bins easier to pack than a suitcase. ;) This way she can bring the bin home with dirty clothes in it. :D

Lala, Great workouts! Are you on a 4DS rotation? I'm really looking forward to the three days. Asked DH this morning what we should do with our time. He didn't know what to do, but we have time to thin of something. :D The youngest cleaned up their bathroom, I'm wondering what I will come home to. She is rearranging things to her liking. :eek:

Susan, When do you start your new job? Those last 30 days of P90X should be fun, you get nice variety on the weight work from week to week.

heartymax, Glad you had fun with High Reps. It is nice to get those muscles working on something different. ;)

Hello!:D I am just loving the summer weather this week! Today is Pilates Advanced, then mowing the lawn, then something else if I have time!

Laurie, I start the new job on Monday. It will be interesting to see how I fit it all in. Seeing how well you ladies do it all, will I be able to as well?!:eek: I do like the variety of this last month. I have my 25th Class Reunion on August 20th. Hoping to be my best by then. Thinking about ordering Insanity in a couple weeks as my present for finishing P90X.

This morning was BBC Chest & Abs, and Look Better Naked Metobolic Workout. Still don't like the name of that workout. :rolleyes:

Susan, You will be in great shape for that reunion! After P90X you will have a great time with Insanity. If you like PlyoX, then you will enjoy Insanity, which is PlyoX done faster. ;)

Hi Ladies! No workouts for me today. It is actually the first day I have not been to work. Even though last Thurs. was my official last day, I had things to do on Friday and Tuesday and yesterday was my "one official summer work day". I realize that my house is no cleaner than it was before my family left so when I got them morning I started cleaning vs. working out. I have a presentation in my class tonight so I am actually talking my way through it to get the timing down.

Susan---congrats on your P90X accomplishment and hang in there for these last 30days...for some reason I thought you finished it up before vacation....I guess I got confused. I do recall you saying that you promised to get through P90X before ordering Insanity----now go for it:D

Laurie---yeah, an interesting name for a workout...but hey if it does what it says---keep at it.

Lala---how are you feeling with your running? Is your injury better?

Sue---Are you planning to do the entire S90 rotation?
 
Hi! Today I will be doing the leg portion of 4DS and mowing the lawn ;) Yesterday I did B/Bis of 4DS and went swimming.

Lauries, I am kind of following Cathe´s July rotation. I´m changing the cardio to stuff I can do outside :) sounds like DD has a nice place to stay...hope it doesn´t spoil her too much! The bin thing is a good idea.

Susan, I´ll be mowing the lawn with ya! If you keep up your good work I´m sure you´ll look even more fabulous than you do now for your 25th! It will be a good time.
Heartymax, enjoy your first day off! But I thought you had a presentation today? The running is going well, the injury you may be referring to is my shoulder and it seems like it´s something that won´t go away :( so swimming yesterday was a test to see how much I can take...it did OK!

Lala - Welcome back! Great idea taking advantage of the beautiful weather and doing your cardio outdoors.

Susan - Most of the S90 workouts are 30-45 min. but Back & Bis is 56 min. I love the shorter workouts because it's easier to push yourself knowing you'll be done before you know it. Good luck on starting your new job. It can be a challenge fitting everything in but it's a little easier now that the kids can help out around the house more.

Heartymax - I won't report you to the video police for skipping the last 2 days of Meso 2 if you don't report me for:
1) Pausing the dvd player to take extra breaks
2) Substituting my own move when the one shown is too high impact or too advanced
or
3) Switching to another workout after the warmup when a workout just wasn't clicking that day.

Good luck with your presentation tonight. Yes, I am planning on doing the entire S90 rotation which is quite a commitment for me! LOL I'm normally not a rotation person but I'm curious to see what S90 will do for me. I'm on day 39 so almost halfway through. My abs don't look anything like Susan's (Go Susan! :)) so don't expect to see pictures.

Laurie - I think I'd prefer the more modest "Look Better in Your Clothes Metabolic Workout". :eek: :D

Forgot to tell you guys that I actually talked DD16 into doing the warmup and core work on S90 CST with me. She was dying by the end of the warmup. :D While we were doing the power lunges in the warmup she said "That's hard on the quads!" after just a couple. I do about 16 in the warmup but she quit after about 4. She didn't even try the criss-cross jacks. She hung in for the wood chops and reverse curls for abs but could only do a few of the V-ups. And her abs hurt the next day. Told her she needs to keep doing it and she'll get stronger.


Did S90 Back & Bis last night. It amazes me how much of a cardio effect the weight workouts have even though I'm lifting fairly heavy weights. I think it's because the warmup gets your heart pumping and the workout keeps moving. 3 sets is hard to do in this workout. I'm dying by the end of each circuit and happy to move on to the next one. Tonight I will do S90 Ultimate Ball.
 
Sue---I am ROTFL at your entire post. :D I love your #3...switching to a different workout when the one you chose is just not working for you:D

lala---yep! my presentation was yesterday and it went well. I am taking a School law class under supervision certification. My next presentation is Tuesday. We had 5 presentations last night and I was first....Having this class two days a week cuts out my summer, but I am happy the teacher is laid back. We are not always meeting two days a week as he gives us one of those days off to workout on presentations and research paper. When I signed up for the class I thought it was meeting 11 evenings. We are actually only meeting physically 6 times and independent work 3 times for a total of 9 sessions so I am was ectastic on the first evening of class.

Sue, I also found your post very funny!:) Thanks for the info on S90. I get so confused looking at S90, Insanity, P90X Plus, Cathe, so many choices!!:eek:

Heartymax, that is nice that your teacher is shortening up the session for you guys. Were you happy to be first to go last night? Glad to hear it went well for you!

HI Lala! I was happy the sun chose to shine while I was mowing. I don't like to mow when it's gloomy!

Good morning! I say that my mornings are dedicated to finishing a class I took this summer, but as you see, I have to catch up on my BB friends! (At least I can be outside doing this!)

Sue, your break down of that S90 DVD makes it sounds like I want it!!

Susan, yesterday I did 1/2 the lawn and DD decided to finish it for me! Enjoy your workouts. I´m not sure what I´ll be doing today...maybe a rest day.

Heartymax, Summer classes are pretty nice because they tend to be more relaxed...I think even the prof wants a break!

This morning was Plyo Cardio Circuit and STS Extended Stretch.

DD18 is having a great time at school. She likes on instructor, the other she said was boring. :D She is coming home tonight, and bringing one of her roomates. They are going to spend the day at the faire.

heartymax, Even with that corny name the workout is really good. WTG on the presentation. I always prefer to go first, makes me less nervous. ;)

Lala, I'm planning on changing up my rotation. After dress rehersal my feet where so sore that I knew there would be no way to do any cardio on a Monday. Oh how wonderful to be on the computer outside. That would be a dream of mine. :D

Sue, I have actually counted all those lunges and criss-cross jacks. I'm always ready for the warm-up to end. :D I am very tempted to get my youngest downstairs to workout with me. She is so lazy! :eek:

Susan, S90 is different from P90X, I think that the weight workouts have more of a cardio factor to them. After Insanity you could treat yourself to S90, since it is only $20. ;) The workouts in this set are well worth the price IMO. I have said in the past that I wouldn't look at kettlebells, but the RKS package is looking good to me. I also was looking at the new Aerobox package. I keep wondering why all these instructors are coming out with all these sets. :eek:
