Buff Badgers Week of Jan. 9

Morning Ladies,

10lb Slimdown Xtreme Upper Body and Weider X-Factor ST Week 2 for me this morning. Interesting ride to work this morning, guess that comes with the first really snowfall.

Sam, Hope you got in a good workout, I would have of course voted for the Hiit. :D Training is hard, but once they get what you want them to do, it sure is wonderful. Just keep on trying, and Elliot will get it.

Sue, We got the ss basket also, they told us that would cut down on the noise also. I think it is easier to keep clean also, that plastic just seem to attract food. All I can tell you about the shoes, is going to an athletic store. You are going to pay more, but they have a better selection. I always take my girls to a running store for their track shoes.

heartymax, That is a great way to mix up the STS with something. I like 30 Day Shred more than her Ripped in 30, just seems to flow better. ;) I'm trying to stick to something like that (no spending), because I also have enough DVD's to last forever.

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Friday, everyone! I ended up doing neither Hiit nor Imax2 because by the afternoon I had the "afternoon fade" going. Anyone else get that? I ended up doing Low Impact Challenge, which I like for a low-energy day.

I'm doing an afternoon workout today, too. Something with weights. I really should plan a rotation. I become paralyzed with indecision before all my workouts.

Laurie- Thanks for the encouragement. He actually obeyed the "down" command yesterday a couple times during our lesson! He gets frustrated very quickly though. Our lessons can't last longer than about 25 minutes before he starts trying to chew my hand. I know it's just his resistance to submission, but I tend to get a touch impatient ;)

Heartymax- Those walking planks are killer. When it comes to the push up part I always either drop to my knees or just hold the plank. I never feel like I need additional ab work after Afterburn.

Sue- My brother likes to buy his shoes at Performance Running Outfitters in the Ruby Isle Plaza right off Calhoun and North. (He gets a discount there for wearing their jerseys at races)They are very friendly there, will help with sizing, and even have a treadmill to try out the shoes and make sure they work for you. My mom even went there, and she's hardly a runner ;)

Hi, Susan!

Have a great day, everyone!

Heartymax - I've never done those walking planks in Afterburn because I don't have the room. Isn't that convenient? ;) I need to do AB again. I think I only did it once so far. If you could find out where your co-worker gets shoes that'd be great. The more options the better!

Laurie - My ride in this morning wasn't bad. Last night going home was terrible! I was glad it was light out when I left at least. I didn't know about the ss basket cutting down on noise. Ran it for the first time last night and couldn't believe how quiet it was! I LOVE my new dishwasher!! :D (It's the little things in life.) I'll checkout local running stores for DS. This is my mission tomorrow (to get him new shoes). I have Ripped in 30 and haven't even tried it. I guess I need to stop buying for a while, too, and do the workouts I already own! I am tracking what I use on my spreadsheet now so that'll encourage me.

Sam - Oh, yes I'm familiar with "afternoon fade". This is especially true on the weekends - if I don't get my workout done in the morning it doesn't happen. You did LIC so you should be proud. I will checkout Outfitters tomorrow. We have a Foot Locker close to us but the teenagers they had working weren't very helpful. I had to actually interrupt their conversation to ask for help!

Hi, Susan. Hang in there.

My workout so far today has been snow shoveling. Will do cardio tonight. Tomorrow is GS Back, Shoulders, Biceps.

GO PACKERS!!!

Okay, on my pc at work PACKERS looked green and gold but on my iPad it looks green and orange!
