Buff Badgers Week of Feb. 28

heartymax

Cathlete
I had major DOMS on Saturday so I decided to take my rest day and the plan was to workout on Sunday, but I forgot that DH had an event late Saturday night so that meant sleeping late Sunday morning until time for church. Anyway, this morning was 45 minutes of Cardio Blast followed by a segment of Ab Hits.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Can you believe tomorrow is March??? Just think----warm weather is coming soon and all the hard work we have been putting into our workouts will make us feel even happier when it is tank top season!

Heartymax - The year seems to be flying by! I'm afraid of what the weather will be in late March since it's coming in like a lamb. "In like a lamb, out like a lion" - Are you familiar with that saying?

On Saturday I did an Ab Hits segment and all of Biggest Loser Cardio Max. Yesterday we met my relatives for lunch in Madison and then hung out at a bowling alley afterwards. We lost our "home base" now that Mom's house is sold and no one has a house big enough for everyone so we sat around and drank soda in the lounge. Kids played foozball. Should have worked out last night but I watched the Oscars instead. This morning I did STS Disc #5 which completes week 2 of Meso 1 for me (I did Disc #6 on Friday).

Good Afternoon,

Sat. I did spinning to CC7. Sun. I did circuit blast, GS floorwork legs and BM2 upper body. Today I did CCC and went snowshoeing for a few miles with Snickers.

Heartymax, sure hope spring is coming soon. Hope you enjoy your rest week.;)

Sue, I am sure it will take some getting used to now that you don't have your moms place to go to anymore. Great you all get together. Nice job on completing STS week 2. I can say skiing is something I really don't want to do. My family loves it though. We will see you at the Birkie in a few years? yes---;)

Hi to the rest of you BB's.

Off to another basketball game tonight. Kids had a great time at the Barnibirkie.

Karen, great minds think alike! I, too, did CC7 on the bike! I love that one! Sun I did NOTHING...really, went to church and laid on the couch the rest of the day pretty much

Today was disk 28...I did only 3 sets of some of the exercises just to make it a bit shorter. Plus, as you all know, I really don´t like working my chest that much and my shoulder bothers me in some (most) of the chest exercises :(

Karen, you sure got in a lot of workouts this weekend...nice!

Heartymax, Is this your rest week? Enjoy!

Sue, You are moving right along with STS! It´s really nice that you got together with the family...that can be so hard. And it sounds like a good place to meet...something for everyone!

Hi Laurie and Susan!

HI there! Well, that weekend flew by! Saturday was my scheduled off day. I took my DD to another anime convention in Appleton and walked and walked all day long. Sunday I did the elliptical for 45mn followed by lower body pilates. Today was my Intensity workout, Hi-impact HiiT twice followed by bootcamp then stretch. I do my own warm-up on the elliptical cause I did not feel like pulling out step just for that. The workout takes about 45 minutes.

Heartymax, we all have weekends like that sometimes! I assume your DOMS are better now?;)

Sue, good job completing week 2! It's great you can get together with family like that. I too have family spread all over and our visits are too far in between!

Karen, hope you enjoyed the basketball! Do you snow shoe often? I have never done that.

Lala, I hope to have a Sunday like yours this weekend! It's the first weekend in over a month that I have nothing to do!!:D Don't let my Dh know though cause he'll make plans!

Hi Laurie!

Have a great night- Susan

This morning was Level 3 then Level 2 of Jillian's Shred. This was my first time doing Level 3 and it is definitely a tough one. Doing two workouts back to back really made the workout intensed for me. I used 5lbs weights to keep it light. It was fun and I think the change that I need for this week.

Sue---I like using the Ab Hits workout. I see you and I are both enjoying a Jillian.

Karen ---yes this is my recovery week. I plan to focus on cardio and abs and maybe get in some pilates this week too.

lala-- I was so tired after church Sunday also. We had a special program at church and dinner was served afterwards. I was so happy because I was able to take a looooong nap after church instead of cook dinner.

Susan---I can feel your sweat over here from that Double Hi Hiit!!! I can' t imagine. I think the Hi Hiit in Intensity is definitely tough.

Hi Laurie!!

Morning Ladies,

Disc 7 Chest, Shoulders & Biceps for me this morning. Got in all my workouts this weekend, just don't remember all of them. ;) I'm going to be trying out the Supreme 90 Legs tomorrow, so will let you know how I liked or didn't like that one. ;)

heartymax, I love those Shred workouts. Good recovery plan you have going.

Sue, Guess we had the In like a Lamb! I'm hoping that doesn't mean a big snow storm for the end of March. The bowling doesn't sound so bad, even though I really don't enjoy it all that much. It still can be a fun time.

Karen, I did CCC yesterday also. Glad you could get out to enjoy some outdoors, it has been pretty nice around here.

Lala, Dang on that shoulder, it sure does restrict you on some exercises. :(

Susan, Don't you just miss the weekend when it goes by so quickly! :D DH was gone all weekend, and we now have a four legged visitor, so she has been keeping me busy. At least she has stopped pulling on her leash when we go for walks, I thought she was going to choke herself pulling so hard.

Have a great day!

Laurie - I ordered Supreme 90 from Mary on Friday and it came yesterday already! Will have to wait until STS is over to try the weights but I might try one of the cardios. Let me know how you like the leg w/o.

Have to run now and meet the Guidance Counselor about scheduling for DD. Going to do cardio later and STS Disc 7 tomorrow.

Hi there! Today is Shred 2 & 3. Haven't done them in a while so it should be interesting! Plan to do some pilates core as well.

Heartymax, looks like we're doing the same thing only in reverse! The Hi-impact Hiit in Intensity is tough. I hate those frog leaps at the end! My quads just scream!

Laurie, what is the name of your new 4-legged friend? How old! Wish my Dh would let me have another one!

Sue, you are going to be in prime shape for Summer. First STS then Super 90! :D

Hi Lala!
HI Karen!

Have a great night! Susan

I just finished Supreme 90 Cardio Challenge and it was a challenge! It started out easy but I was breathing heavy before I knew it. It was 30 seconds HIIT and 30 seconds rest. Laurie might have already talked about this one - I'm not sure. Tom Holland looks like Jeff Probst from Survivor.

Good morning! Today is CardioX and Advanced Body Slimming Pilates.

Sue, my DD was watching the infomercial for Supreme 90 this morning and told me to order it. I told her I am hoping to find it around here instead of paying for shipping! Glad to hear you liked the workout!

I'll check back later - hope you all enjoy the day!

Susan

Morning Ladies,

Supreme 90 Legs for me, and I loved it. :D It was 30 min from start to finish. Warm-up, three ab exercises 15 reps, done twice. Then you went into three exercises with your feet on the ball 15 reps for each. The leg exercises use weights 12 reps each, there was no stopping after each exercise. You go through all the exercises and then repeat. At the end you do the three exercises on the ball, again 15 reps each. Cool-down/stretch. I was huffing and puffing, and it was easy to keep up with the DVD, I didn't have to pause at all.

I'm so glad I had a short workout this morning, because our guest dog managed to get her face into a burr bush! Of course I had to get those off of her face.

Sue, No I have not tried that workout yet, but I sure will be. :D Three out of three workouts that I have tried, I have liked. So far money well spent.

Susan, Our four legged friend's name is Gabriel (Gabbie), and she is a Scottish Terrier. I don't know how old she is, I think maybe 2-3 years old. Full of energy that is for sure. :D I also want another dog, but I really need one that has the energy level of Cami! This one doesn't seem to lay down for very long.

Have a great day!

Susan - Order from Mary at totalfitnessdvds.com. I only paid $19.95 plus $1.13 tax. FREE SHIPPING on orders over $19 AND it was sent Priority Mail so I got it right away (ordered on Friday and received it on Monday). :D

Adding on from my earlier post. . .

Did STS Disc 7 this morning. So tough to get up at 4:30 but I did it!

Laurie - I'm really looking forward to a Supreme 90 rotation after I finish STS. I don't know if I'll follow the rotation they provide though. It's hard to stick to the same 10 workouts for 90 days which is why I could never finish P90X.

Susan - Have you ordered Supreme 90 yet? ;-)

My hamstring was sore yesterday so I took a rest day today. I am not sure why it was bothering me because it was not hurting on Sunday or Monday. I don't want anything to interfere with my getting back to STS next week, so I will be monitoring this carefully.

I haven't heard of Supreme 90. I guess I have missed that infomercial----there are tons of stuff on TV.

Gotta run and prepare dinner and get started monitoring homework.

Hi Yesterday no workout. Today I did Hi Reps.

Heartymax sorry your hamstring is hurting. Take it easy.

Laurie our dog had burrs in the fall and we had to cut all his hair off because he has hair like a lamb. glad you are liking supreme 90.

Sue I ordered from Mary also and have mine just haven't tried it yet. Nice job getting so early. That is the time I got up too.

Susan Are you still seeing results from pilates?

Lala is your shoulder better. funny we did the same workout CC.

Have a great day.

Yesterday I did 4DS kickbox cardio only in the am and then a short run in the afternoon...just because it was so nice out! :D Today I slept in and this pm did disk 29 plyo legs and yoga based abs. I forgot that those had levitation holds!!

so you all are ordering or doing the supreme 90, huh? I´m looking forward to your reports! Laurie, all that work coming in at only 30 minutes?? I like that! How long are the other workouts and what do they consist of?

Karen, yea, I´m pretty sure my shoulder is a chronic thing and that I may eventually need surgery:(

Heartymax, hope your hamstring feels better. sometimes just a rest will do it!

Sue, 4:30??? I get up 15 minutes later :D but that 15 minutes makes a big difference in my book. You go!!!

Susan, Hi impact HiiT twice?? Followed by boot campt :eek: You must be feeling better ;)

Hamstring feeling better today. I chose Intensity Double HiiT and Bootcamp this morning. That Hi HiIt is really intense.

Karen---I really miss doing High Reps. I let a friend borrow it while I am doing the STS rotation. I am trying to introduce her to Cathe in a friendly way:D

Sue--glad you are enjoying your STS workouts! Just remember---when you crawl out at 4:30----that I am also up with you:rolleyes:

lala----levitation holds...OMG! What do I have to look forward to??

Hi Laurie and Susan!

Hi gang,

Today I did Insanity Max. Cardio.

Lala, It hasn't been really nice here except one day and I worked all day for running.--Now you have to remember I am a wimp and don't really like the cold. Nice job on getting in your runs.

Heartymax, you are one tough cookie if you think Hi Reps is an easy workout. The friend should be ready to unfriend you.:) When I was doing the STS rotation, I used the total body on a day after legs to get another workout in for each bodypart.

Have a great day.

Hi Laurie, Sue and Susan

Hey gang! Today is Pilates Accelerated.

Karen, yes, I have seen results from the pilates and people have commented that I look slimmer. Even though the scale refuses to budge!:( I notice it in my rear and upper body.

Sue, I went to the website you ordered from, and they are out of stock on Supreme 90! I did see a lot of other workouts I wouldn't mind having though!:)

Lala, good job on running! I am like Karen and wimpy about cold weather running. Really I just hate wearing layers! There is a Fitness Festival in my area Memorial Weekend and they are having a 10mile, 5mile or 5k run. I am thinking of doing the 5 miler again but I need warmer weather!!!

Heartymax, glad your hammy is better. My calf is bothering me the past couple days. This is the calf muscle I "popped" last year. Needs some special stretching today!

Have a good day ladies! Susan

Hello Ladies,

I only have one more hour of work left, had to get in early this morning for an all day training session. We finished about an hour ago, and I must say I'm ready to head home. :D This morning I did three 10 min. segments from Jessica Smith's Knockout Body workout. I didn't do anything all day, but sit and listen to people talk, but right now I feel like I could take a nap.

Sue, I'm looking forward to these workouts, but I don't think doing these workouts over and over will bother me to much. I'm like the rotation queen! :D I think I should change my user name to that.

heartymax, I think that I have only seen one commercial about Supreme 90 on tv. Just let me be the experiment on this rotation, and I will do a report. ;) My hamstrings are sore from the S90 workout, so guess we are going through the same thing. You are so nice to lend out your DVD's, I have to get one of mine back from a friend. ;)

Karen, I almost thought I would have to cut out the burrs also, but I just took the brush and carefully combed them out.

Lala, Levitation holds! I don't know if I will ever be able to do that move. I'm saying my legs are so long that they are just to heavy to lift. :D

Susan, That is the problem with going to total fitness, you can find some really great workouts. She is based in Milwaukee, so I don't mind paying the tax and getting my workouts the next day! :D

Have a great day!
