Saturday---Imax 2
Sunday-- late run with DH
Monday--Burn Sets Bi's Tri's and Core 1

It is my goal to try to get in someworkouts that I rarely do so I pulled out Cross Train Express last week and I did Imax 2 the other day. I have not pre-ordered the new workouts and I am not sure if I will. I think I am going to get the step DVD and use what I have.

Good morning! Saturday was Phase One Timed Metabolic from Drop Two Sizes. Yesterday was a rest day, which I most definitely needed. I liked the metabolic workout a lot. It was really short and sweet.

Today is Phase One Strength Two. I don't think I'll be able to check in later to report how it went. I have an old college friend coming by this evening and a chiropractor appointment this afternoon, so once I get my butt off the couch, it's going to stay off so I can get the house tidied up a bit.

Heartymax- I can't wait for the step ones. Last time I didn't preorder I ended up getting the workouts anyway, so I'll keep my order. Next time I might wait a little while, though. I feel like I've got a lot of videos that just don't get used much.

Have a great day, everyone!

Hello,

The weekend was a busy one. We did have fun Saturday night when we had dinner with some friends.

Saturday was Peak 10 Cardio Interval Burn. Sunday was my no workout day. Today I did STS Meso 1 Disc 4 chest, shoulders, and bi's. Had pretty good strength this morning.

Hearty - It's fun to pull out some old ones that you haven't done in a while.

Sam - Sounds like the new workouts are really working you. I know it's only been a week but have you noticed any changes?

Enjoy the rest of your day!
Brenda

Brenda--I love the days too when I am feeling pretty strong.

Sam---This will probably be the first time I haven't pre-ordered as long as I can remember. There is one series that I just didn't care for and that is Shock Cardio. I almost didn't order Low Impact series and I am so glad I did. It is nice.

My dust offer for today was Kick Max. I am determined to use some of these DVDs I haven't done in a very very very long time or ever . I knew I wouldn't have time to do the leg conditioning drills but I finished everything else. :D Kickboxing is not my preferred workout. We did some of the RT so I figured it would be a good time to go back and do some of those DVDs.

Have a good day ladies.

Hello!

This morning I did HiiT Pyramid and Hardstrikes cardio. Was a good cardio workout that's for sure.

Hearty - Did you see the newsletter from Cathe yesterday. I was wondering if that was in the pink shirt slightly behind Cathe. I haven't done KickMax in a super long time. I love kickboxing but that is not one of my favorites. I should maybe get it out again and see if I change my mind. There are some workouts from the Shock Cardio that I don't do too often. I have never done Step Moves yet.

Hi Sam!

I'm sitting outside at lunch time today in the sun to warm up. It is sooo cold in my office.

Take Care!

Hello! My MIL took DS for a few hours, so I decided to take advantage of the alone time and the sun and go on an OUTDOOR aerobic walk. It was a nice change of pace, and I got to soak up some vitamin D. Elliot definitely enjoyed it, too.

Heartymax- I thought that was you in the pink! Lookin' good :D Kick Max isn't my favorite, but I like doing just the combos when I'm not in the mood to work out.

Brenda- I can't positively say I've had any real results yet, but my body definitely knows something different is going on. I feel like my arms look slimmer, but I think that's because she doesn't do any isolated bicep or tricep work, and I haven't been adding it on, so they aren't constantly in a "pumped" state. At first I was worried about that, but I think spending a lot of time doing core work in plank, push-ups, and other stuff will keep me from losing muscle there. I carry a lot of padding in my arms, so I'm not incredibly interested in building mass there, anyway.

Have a great day!

Sam--I think it's a good thing when you body knows that something different is going on. That is why I am trying to get in some workouts that I haven't done in a while. Wouldn't it be cool to go through all my Cathe workouts without repeating any of them for a rotation. I just know I couldn't focus to do that:eek:.

Just finished lower body blast. It has been a long time and what awesome floor work with the band that I have forgotten all about it. Good workout. I wonder how my legs will feel tomorrow.

Hello! Strength One again today. I was able to use 20's for everything but shoulder presses, but I managed 15's on those for the first set. I needed to drop to 12's for the second set. I think I strained/pulled my hip flexor somehow. My fault for not warming up enough.... I don't think it'll be a big deal. I think it just needs some ice and stretching.

Heartymax- That would be a fun rotation to try. Maybe someday... I don't have LBB. I like Cardio Leg Blast a lot, so it should probably be on my Cathe wishlist.

Hi Brenda!

Have a great day, everyone!

Good Afternoon!

This morning was STS Meso 1 Disc 5 Back and Triceps. Had another good strength day. I did have to back off 5 lbs on the bent over rows with the barbell. Last week when I did them I was straining and losing form the last set of 7 and my low back was very very tender. Backing off the 5 lbs helped.

Sam - Glad you enjoyed outdoor aerobic walk. It's always nice to get outside and enjoy the weather. Be careful with that hip flexor. Mine are always very tight and it's not very comfortable stretching them. Hope they feel better.

Hearty - I haven't done LBB for a while. Since the issues with my hip some of the floor work is no longer doable. Depends what it is. Hmmmm... not sure if I'd be able to stick to doing a different Cathe DVD until I went through all of them. Would be curious if I could stick with it.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Hi everyone~Long time no see! :) I have been on the outs because I hurt my achillies tendon while running. I have tendonitis and cannot really do any type of impact movment. Even walking our dog aggravates it. It may take weeks to heal, then I can try walking and jogging a bit. I do pilates every day, sometimes 2 times a day to keep my body in check. When I can, I talk short walks. I did notice today I had very little pain compared to days before so I am hoping it is on the mend. I am itching to work up a great sweat! Hopefully it will be all healed before the new Cathe workouts are released!

I'll be back! Take care and stay strong~ Susan

Hi!

This morning I got out an oldie and not a Cathe one. I did Intense Moves by Gin Miller. I like the workout but the rest periods between the intervals are a little too long. Still enjoyed doing something different.

Susan - Sorry to hear you've been on the outs lately. That is a bummer. I hope you heal fast. I can imagine how anxious you are to break a good sweat. Glad you touched base with us to let us know how you were doing. Take Care!

HI Sam & Hearty!

Have a great afternoon!
Brenda

Hello, everyone! No real workout for me today. My hip flexor feels close to normal and I don't want to jinx it.

I'm also dog-sitting my mom's dog today, and I'm worried she'll follow me down to the basement. Elliot knows not to go down there, and I'd like to keep it that way. I'll probably take Elliot on a nice, long walk after dinner.

Susan- It's good to hear from you even though I'm bummed to hear about your achilles. I hope you heal up quickly!

Brenda- I've never tried a Gin Miller workout, but it's funny that you did an oldie today because I was considering that, too. I still have all these old Firms lying around, and I never use them.

Hi Heartymax!

My big activity today so far has been making a chocolate cake! I haven't made a cake for no reason in ages. I can't even remember if I ever did! I'm looking forward to a slice after dinner.

Have a great day!

Hi! I joined WinsorFit today which an online pilates club. They have tons of workouts I am anxious to try. My ankle bothered me a lot today. I wasn't even on my feet much. Thought I might try biking tomorrow or Saturday but am wondering if the pushing down would be hard on my ankle? I got on the elliptical last week and it was sore....

Brenda I have never done a Gin Miller workout. I can only imagine even though it said "intense", your intensity threshold has probably gotten much higher over the years!:D

Sam, my kids asked for a chocolate cake last week, and I too am one who does not bake a cake unless it's someone's birthday. But I surprised them and made one anyway! ;) Enjoy!

~ Susan

Susan---So great hearing from you. Sounds like the pilates is helping you stay in routine and keeping your body and mind focused.

Sam---Yesterday was a rest day for me too. After lower body blast, I figured that would be the case:D. I love chocolate cake.

Brenda--glad you are enjoying some oldies this week too.

Today's workout was Super Cuts minus those fast paced sit ups and push ups. I just did some push ups at the end and called it day. That fast paced routine is a killer.

Have a great weekend.

Hello and happy Friday!

Today was Phase One Strength Two. I tacked a Cathe warmup on to the beginning today. I like the warmup that comes with the workouts, but I get sick of doing the same warmup every time.

Heartymax- I usually either skip that part at the end or just do 4 sets at my own pace instead of 8 super-fast ones. I can't do push-ups that fast.

Susan- I'm interested to hear how you like the online club. I have looked into a few yoga subscriptions, hoping they'd make me like yoga more, but I've never bitten the bullet.

Hi Brenda!

Tomorrow my mom and I are taking DS to the Fair. I'm very excited! I haven't been to the fair in a few years and plan to eat plenty of fair treats guilt-free :D

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Happy Friday!!

This morning was STS Meso 1 Disc 6 legs and I included the extended stretch.

Sam - Chocolate cake sounds good. I unfortunately love bakery and thankfully I don't like baking so about the only time I'll make anything is if I have to take it someplace else. Hope your hip flexors feel better.

Susan - I think with doing HiiT and Tabatacise has really helped. I was breathing heavy during the interval itself but it didn't take me long to recovery so I was ready to move onto the next one before she was. Hope your ankle continues to feel better.

Hearty - The sit up/pushups at the end of Super Cuts is a killer. I usually start out pretty good and once I get about the 5 set I start slowing down. I have a love/hate relationship with those. ;)

Everyone have a wonderful weekend!!
Brenda

Hi ladies, today I went to the Winsor site and did a total body routine and an ab routine. I like both. I know many Pilates exerices and do a lot of routines I just create on my own but doing theirs was harder. They moved quicker and pushed me harder. The first week was $1 and after that it's $10/month. My ankle bothered me again today. They say it's best to wear heels so that your tendon does not have to stretch but I do not own a lot of hi-heel shoes! It's suggested to buy lifts/insoles so I may look tomorrow. Just when I think it's improving, it starts to hurt again!

Have a great weekend ladies! Back to school shopping for me! :) ~ Susan
