Morning BB's,

Decided to post before I got to busy. Yes I'm finally back to work, but have been keeping up with the Aug05 Rotation. Yesterday was a 5 mile run, and today is the double Bootcamp. This should make me sleep really well tonight. }( I am actually enjoying this rotation more this time than the last time I did it. Maybe because I had so much rest last week. :D

As the day progresses I will be looking at all the posts that I missed. :) Looks like some looooong threads have been going on lately. May or may not look at them.

Went shopping yesterday. Kmart had their workout DVD's at 10% off and I picked up Kickbox Bootcamp 10 Min. Solutions. It actually looks like a good one.

Talk at you all later,

Laurie

Well, I shut my alarm off in my sleep so I woke up late! RRRrrrrr..x( I have an appointment to get to and then I am rushing home to get at it! I am doing Cathe's Jan. Rotation so today is Cardio Kicks and CTX Kickbox cardio. I always like doing kickboxing so I am looking forward to it. I thought after doing Bootcamp yesterday( 1st time in a Looong time)I'd be more sore. Maybe I am in better condition than I thought! Another dreary day here..... Stay strong- Susan

Good morning,

I couldn't drag myself out of bed this morning so I haven't done anything yet, and I may not get to a workout today. It was supposed to be my first morning back to 5 a.m. workouts after my week off, but it's not that easy! I guess I'll just call today my rest day. I thought I'd do the first week of the January rotation to try to get my cardiovascular endurance back since I didn't work out as much as normal throughout December. So yesterday I did intervals 6-10 of Imax 2 and then Boot Camp.

And I'm back at work today, which is okay I guess. My brother and future sister-in-law are coming to have lunch with me today, then they'll stay at our house tonight so I can drive them to the airport at 5:30 tomorrow morning. It's been so great having them here; it's always hard to see them go. But I'm already anticipating a trip to see them in California this summer :)

Even though I'm going to be running almost exclusively until May, I'm so tempted by the new CIA videos. There's a link somewhere on this board. We'll see if I can resist them!

Take care,

Ellen

Hi Everyone

I'm back at work today after my extended holiday break. It was so hectic, and I had family staying with me up until yesterday, so I'm really feeling shell-shocked, still. I feel very bloated and unhealthy after all the holiday snacking. Ack! x(

I'm with the rest of you - it was hard to hear the ol' alarm go off this morning. I'm really off my routine.

Last workout I did was Imax 2 on Friday. Love that workout.

It's good to be back at work, I GUESS, so I look forward to chatting with you ladies again. Happy New Year, everyone! :)

Like Laurie I'm doing to Aug 05 rotation and back to work so that meant getting up at 4:30 to do Boot Camp twice! I did it back-to-back skipping the c/d the 1st time and w/u the 2nd time. I also paused between to eat half a bar, get more water and put a load of laundry in. This was the day of the rotation I dreaded most because I didn't think I'd be able to do 2 sets of those darn sequential power kicks but I DID IT and I'm soooooo happy it's over:) The rest of the week for the rotation looks pretty tough though... the dreaded MIC on Friday (gulp). Hip flexors feel real tight today because I didn't stretch enough after my 5 miler yesterday:-( We'll see how I do. Taking it just one day at a time...

The good thing about being back to work is that I'll have less time to spending reading the forums so it'll be easier to keep my mouth shut. :)

Hi Badger Girls!!

Our team won-yay!! It was nice to have Barry A go out with a win. :)

Laurie-I can barely get through BC once, let alone twice. Good for you! New workouts are always fun. The Tracie Longs are shipping out today. I hope to have mine by Thursday via UPS. I'll let you guys know how they are.

Susan-WTG on your rotation, too! You guys are so strong!! Sorry about the way your day started out. :(

Ellen-isn't it hard getting back to normal? While I like the holidays, I am glad they are over so I can get back to the real world. Re: the CIAs......I just don't have the room/time for a lot more. I have 4 Tracie Longs coming and 4 Cathes coming (hopefully someday). However, I will buy the Seasun Zieger bosu one. I love my bosu (bought it from Marie!) and I like Seasun a lot. But I'll buy it from her site directly cuz that's all I want.

sln-too bad your company didn't leave on Sunday so you could have a day to recover!

No workout buddy today so I'm going to do a weights workout when DS gets home on the bus, about 4:15. I'm thinking Push Pull since it's been awhile since I did heavy weights. Then we'll be off for other DSs basketball game. :)

Have a great day !
Jill

Hi BBs,
Was going to do wts this morning but did a short cardio and just happy that I got up and did something. It was the new Denise Austin Burn Fat Fast - basic dance and kickbosing moves but not a bad little workout. Intense enough for this old BB. I am feeling the KPC workout from yesterday and tonight is my first spin class.

Jill - I was excited about the WI win! Great game but feeling at times the announcers were a bit biased. You can just pre-order the one CIA for $17. I ordered all of them because they all looked interesting to me.

Laurie - good luck trying to catch up on the fury. Between here and VF there was quite a lot going on. Basically many unhappy with the lack of communication with the pre-order due to the delays. And then when Cathe and SNM finally responded to the heated discussions, people were not pleased with how they were answering regarding the delays and telling people if they aren't happy to cancel. I have to agree that they could have communicated delays (with consistent info) and that some of their responses could be worded more diplomatically. Sorry I am not one that thinks Cathe walks on water (even though I really like her and have almost every workout she put out) and think that she could make some changes based on this feedback.

Wow! I checked out that August Roatation and its scary!! I might try to do it as a pre-summer kickoff in May. Good job you guys! :) Susan

Marie - I agree that some changes will probably be made because of the feedback so far on the presales. I just hope SNM continues to offer presales - or at least discounts to their loyal customers.

Sue

Hey BBs,

Late post today. They are crackin' down on computer time at work so I'd better lay low anyway!

Got up and walked on the treadmill today. Back to WW Core program for me today too. This will be the year I take control of my health!

Hope you all have had a great New Year so far!

Thea

Hello Ladies-

I haven't been on Open Discussion for about a year now and I saw "BUFF BADGERS" and had to see what that meant. I too am a "Cathe" charter member from Monroe, WI. I live about 35 miles south of Madison. I pretty much exclusively work out to Cathe's tapes, in addition to running. I have ALL of her tapes and most of the DVD's. I am an addict. I would like to participate in your group. Who started the posts? Just curious how this group got started.

Hi, Arogerson and welcome to our group!

I've been to Monroe a couple of times - cute little town. I live in Waukesha but was raised in Sun Prairie. We have a few BBs in the area and have gotten together for dinner now twice. We started the checkin last August. I think someone started a thread asking if there were any other Wisconsinites (correct me guys if I'm wrong) and we just started checking in. We even have a former Wisconsinite now living in Arizona checking in once in awhile! :)

What's your first name? Or should I call you Roger? ;-)

Sue

My name is Angie and I am 42 years old. I am a stay-at-home mom; I "retired" from my part-time law practice when my last child was born almost 5 years ago, he will be 5 on Jan. 15th. I also have 2 girls, ages 10 and 12. My husband is an otolaryngologist here in Monroe. And yes.........I am a closet work-out-aholic.

Hi, Angie! Retired?!LOL No such thing when you're a mom. ;-)

I should have told you more about myself. I'm 41, married with 2 kids (ages 8 and 10) and work full-time in an IT department as a systems administrator for a manufacturing company. (aka Computer Geek)

So what is an otolaryngologist?

We have a daily checkin thread so feel free to stop by!

Sue

Sue-

An otolaryngologist is a fancy word for Ear, Nose and Throat Dr. He likes to call himself a professional booger picker.
