Buff Badgers - Month of November

It is so great having DS home. My youngest missed him so much and it's feels good to see them laughing and having fun.

Thanksgiving was just us and a little football on tv. I placed no limitations on my eating for the day. Mac and cheese is my favorite so I may enjoy some more today but no desserts....at least that is the plan[emoji38].

Just finished 30 minutes of elliptical cardio followed by core work.

Good Morning!

Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving and that DS was home to enjoy it with you all.

My Thanksgiving was okay. I had surgery on Weds so was still feeling a little groggy from that. My family came over to our house and it was a little crazy at first. My one niece and nephew came early since they weren't staying for dinner and they had their kids and the kids are a bit out of control. With not having any kids, I'm not used to all that noise. Once they left then it quieted down quite a bit. Later my goddaughter came over with her family and she's got two little ones who behave much better than the other kids. It was a long day and I was glad it was over with.

As for my workouts, I had my last kickboxing class Monday night until Jan. Then Tuesday morning I decided to pull out Muscle Max. I wanted to do a total body workout since I new I was going to be on a 10lb weight restriction for two weeks. I haven't worked out since Tuesday morning. I was going to do a Leslie Sansone walk away the pounds this morning but I didn't sleep well last night so opted to try and get a little more shut-eye.

Today is my first day back to work since last Monday. Did not miss work at all. What sucked was I could feel my demeanor changing. My headaches weren't too bad while I was off. Well, they came back full force this morning. Tells me that my job is the main contributor to my headaches. I work 3 full weeks then week before Christmas I have off two days. I'm off the entire week between Christmas and New Years. Looking forward to that.

Have a great Monday!

I laughed about your comment about the kids. That is exactly how I feel about kids of my husband's neice. She has 6 and they are not well disciplined and feed off each other's behaviors. I feel like they take over the house when they are here and I am so relieved when they leave. The sad thing is they are my brother in laws grandkids so he brings them with him because daughter is usually off doing something else. Thankfully I don't see them often but the couple dosages is enough.

I have a job interview on Friday. It's a panel interview which normally causes me to get nervous. I am trying to prepare and focus on being confident and staying calm. I so ready for a change.

I will spend my mornings prepping for this interview. I squeezed in 30 minutes of elliptical cardio.

Good Morning!

Same here. Thankfully all of us together doesn't happen too often. Next dose will be Christmas day. That's by my parents house and I live close by and I usually sneak home in between for some peace and quiet and to get ready for DH's family to come over in the afternoon.

That is great news to hear about you're interview. You will do GREAT!! You got this. Like you said be focused, confident and strong. Deep breaths to stay calm. ;) Can't wait to hear how it went.

This morning I did get something in. I did Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds 3 Mile walk and then did some glute isometric holds with the resistance loop around my thighs. Felt good to do a little something.

Half way through the week. This morning I did 5 miles on the elliptical and some stretching.

Finished Chapter 2 of Precision Nutrition, which was on the GI Tract. That was a more challenging chapter. I'm sure there is many more to come. So after each chapter you take an exam on the chapter and so far I've done three exams and I got 100% on all 3 so far so that makes me feel good. Granted it helps that its open book but I always try to answer it first before I look in the book.
