Buff Badgers - Month of June

Yesterday was a very long day so didn't get to post anything. Saturday I had my Tabata bootcamp class which went well. Saturday afternoon I did 5 hours of trimming on 3 different lawns. I use a weed whacker for the trimming. My forearms are finally feeling better. My arms were so sore on Sunday. Sunday was cleaning day, cleaned my parents house and our own. Monday I did week 2 of MP Max. Workout A was with all those darn burpees.

Yesterday didn't get my workout in. I was out the door at 4am and I didn't get back home until 7:45pm. This morning I did workout B of MP Max. This is the lunge, squat, lunge one.... legs got it good today.

I'm counting down.. 44 days until DH and I go on our Alaskan cruise. Don't recall if I told you about that. Can't wait. We so need to get away.

Gosh.. can't believe we are in June already.

How is your body responding to the change in workouts? They say switching things up can help you accomplish something new. What have you noticed with the MP workouts?

You must be extremely excited about the cruise. My former colleague went on an Alaskan cruise before she retired and loved it.

Yesterday was a rest day. Today was 40 minutes of elliptical cardio followed by upper body only of Muscle Max then 90 squats and some ab work. I am off today so I did a long workout. DS graduation is tonight.

With the MP workouts it is supposed to help focus more on fat loss. Unfortunately I haven't noticed nearly as much as I was hoping. I finally have notice some changes in my core area where it tend to carry more fat that what I like. I have notice my love handles aren't as pronounced. They are still there without a doubt but I have noticed a slight difference. Otherwise, I've noticed strength and movement gains in my legs. I'm able to do a deeper squat than before and I feel like my butt and thighs are firmer. I have one more week. Then I think I might do a week or two of Cathe. I miss my Cathe workouts. Then I'm probably going to try Metabolic Aftershock which is by Jade Teta as well. I want to see how that one is different from Metabolic Prime.

Everyone we have talked to that went to Alaska absolutely loved it. Can't wait!!

How did DS graduation go? Can't believe it's that time of year again.

You are just cranking out those squats. Do you do those 90 squats all at the same time? That makes my legs and butt hurt just thinking about doing 90 squats. :)

Happy Friday!!

Today was the end of Week 2 MP Max did workout C, burnout, and 20 min on the elliptical. This was the one were constantly up and down from the floor.

For being off on Monday due to the holiday, it certainly was a long week.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Graduation went well but it was a long evening. I was up late and dragging earlier today. I had my annual physical so I couldn't sleep late. Mammogram coming up soon.

My squats are not very deep but I take a few seconds half way but not long at all. I think of it like the 100 rep challenge in Xtrain.

I would call firmer thighs and butt some great gains. Improved core is not bad either. Sounds like your hard work is paying off.

Good Morning!

A quick run down of the weekend. Saturday I had my Tabata Bootcamp class which went well. Sunday felt like a long day. We were going all day. Small town by us had their local picnic and they had parade on Sunday and we help out No No's Restaurant every year with their float. We were doing that all Sunday morning and the parade started at noon. Then participated in the parade, which is always fun. Thankfully we had no rain but it was windy and we had stuff flying all over the place. It was a comedy of errors the entire parade. It was kind of comical. Yesterday I was tired in the AM so opted for additional shut eye. I had my kickboxing class last night which I always enjoy teaching. Since I didn't work out in the AM and I didn't want to do MP on a Tuesday. This week I'm doing my own thing. This morning I did XTrain Burn Sets Chest, back, and shoulders. I tell ya, it felt AWESOME lifting those weights. I managed to use the weights I normally did. It definitely was harder than normal. It made me feel so strong and powerful. Nothing like feeling accomplished when you are lifting 35 lb dumbbells.

Glad to hear graduation went well. I can imagine it was a long day.

You'll be at that 100 mark soon with all those squats. You go!! That is awesome!!

35 pounds is awesome. The heaviest I own are 30's. Glad the strength is rocking [emoji3] .

Saturday was elliptical cardio, 100 squats and core. The weekend was filled the baseball. One win and two losses.

No workouts on Sunday and Monday. Today was elliptical cardio and upper body premix from Muscle Endurance and abs. I feel accomplished [emoji3].

Good Morning!

Yesterday I took a vacation day. I had a doc appt in the afternoon so decided to take the entire day off to get some stuff done in the morning. I did ICE Chiseled lower body. Was a real good lower body workout. I liked it. First time I did that one. The morning was very productive. Ran my oven cleaner, took out my last load of wash out of the dryer, got my house cleaned, took care of a couple phone calls that I haven't had time for, and got one of my flower beds weeded. Then at 11 I had to go in and get myself cleaned and eat some lunch before I went for my appt.

This morning I did XTRain Burn Sets Bi's & Tri's. Managed to stay with the 20's on the bi's for all the exercises except the burn set. It was tough but it felt awesome. Did real good on the tri's too. Better than I was expecting. So we'll see how my arms feel tomorrow.

Woo Hooo on the 100 squats!!

Don't you love feeling accomplished after a workout.

Good Morning and Happy Friday!!

My arms are feeling yesterday's workout. It's all good though. This morning I had a hard time getting myself moving. I went with a shorter more intense workout. I decided to go with X10 Cardio Blast & Hi/Lo Premix. I excluded the weights at the tail end of Hi/lo. Good short cardio blast.

Supposed to be warm and muggy today and storm with chances of storms and then Sunday we're lucky if we hit 70. Weird weather.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Temperature in the 90s this weekend. There was a nice breeze yesterday though.

My doctor's appointment went well. She says I have bone spurs in my neck and cervical spondylosis which is basically a fancy name for arthritis and it is causing problems in my shoulder. There is arthritis in the shoulder also but she thinks the neck is the culprit. She encouraged me to take the 800 MG of ibuprofen 3 times a day for 2 weeks. She gave me a muscle relaxer shot and said we can explore steroid medication or shot if it doesn't get better. I can say that my shoulder feels better today than it has in a while.

Today was 40 minutes of elliptical cardio.

Flex Train was my workout of choice this morning. It's the perfect amount of strength training for me right now. I opted to do squats during the sliding disc leg segment. Was able to do 50 squats with the weights so that worked out.

Good Morning!

Saturday definitely was a hot and humid one. Had Tabata BC in the AM. Did lawn cutting in the afternoon and sweat my butt off. Sunday was my no workout day. Got lunches and stuff ready for the week in early AM, mid morning got outside and continued working on my weeding around the house. It's completely out of control. Was all congested Saturday morning and worse on Sunday. Not sure if it was allergies and little cold or what. It's much better today. With being all congested yesterday morning I opted for sleep since I had my kickboxing class last night. So I decided to do my own thing this week to. Hopefully next week I can finish that last week of Metabolic Prime Max. This morning I decided to challenge myself and did RWH Chest, shoulders, and tri's. Oh.. I am sure I will be feeling this tomorrow.

Glad to hear you got some answers with what was going on with your shoulder. Glad to hear it feels better.

Love, love FlexTrain. Something made me think of Afterburn this morning. I always liked that workout.

4 weeks and we are on vacation!! :D Can you tell I'm anxious. ;)

Do you prepare lunch in bulk for the week?

Yesterday was the 8th grade promotion for DS and my students . He attends my school. It was a busy day with baseball practice and hour away in the evening. I am so tired today but it's the last day of school for students so I am in a good mood.

No workouts this morning. I have a staff end of the year get together this evening.

Good Morning!

A month from today, I will be at the airport boarding a plane on our way to Alaska!! Yeah!!

This morning I did Cardio Leg Blast. I skipped the elevated lunges (hate those). Then round 11 I did the cardio only and skipped to the cool down and stretch. Upper body is sore from yesterdays workout. I was actually expecting the DOMS to be worse. Unless it decides to hit me tomorrow.

Had rain and storms early this morning. Started around 2:15am or so. Some fog when I was driving into work.

Make it a great day!

We were posting at the same time. On Sunday's I cut up any fruit that needs to be cut up like pineapple or watermelon. Clean any fruits and veggies that need to be cleaned. My lunch I always prepare the day before. DH does sandwiches so I make a weeks worth of sandwiches for him so I can just grab them and toss them in a bag. I have a salad everyday for lunch and I prefer to make it fresh the night before.

Congrats to DS for his 8th grade promotion.

Good Morning!

This morning I did RWH back, delts, and bi's. I was on the tired side so it felt like a tougher workout than normal. I managed to keep it heavy and getter done. :) Heck the rest of my upper body is still sore from Tuesday's workout.

Just a couple more days and then we're into the weekend. Not that, that is going to be anymore restful. We got a busy weekend planned too. Then I forgot that it is father's day this Sunday.

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

I needed to be a little gentler to my body today. Sore from the workouts this week. I did 5 miles on the elliptical and STS Extended Stretch which felt great.

Weather is supposed to be nice the next few days, which is good.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Last week was busy for me. DS had baseball all weekend so we were on the field Father's day too. Saturday was a win and Sunday was a loss. I tell you some coaches are less than desirable. The other team---not ours. I will just leave it at that.

Some family came to watch DS play on Sunday and we went out to dinner at the game. Nothing fancy since it was after the game but we had fun.

Friday was elliptical cardio and no workouts this weekend. I am also resting this morning.

I am the food preparation saves time. I try to cut up melon too. I should consider prepping veggies for my salad to save time. Maybe when school starts back in August. I have 4 work days this week and then I am off for 6 weeks summer break which is the longest break I have had in years as an 11 month employee.

Good Morning!

A weekend of baseball. Glad they won one of the games.

Saturday I had my Tabata bootcamp class. Did my grocery shopping before and finished after class. Then we cut grass for No No's and the neighbor Saturday afternoon. Met a dear friend for dinner. Sunday was getting lunches ready in the morning along with cutting our own grass. I had laundry going as well. Then after lunch we went by DH's parents to visit for father's day and then had about an 1-1/2 gap in between so I worked on putting together my kickboxing class. Then we cooked out by my parents Sunday for dinner for father's day.

Slept in yesterday morning so my workout was teaching my kickboxing class. This morning I did STS Mesocycle 2 Disc 22 chest, shoulders, and tri's... OMG.. I don't know what I was thinking and I went heavy. I'm sure I'll be feeling this tomorrow. It felt good though to push it.

Yeah for you for having a 6 week summer break!! :D

Good Morning!

Today I went with RWH Lift It Hit It Legs. Definitely did not go as heavy as Cathe did. I just can't anymore. I do okay on squats and plié squats but when it comes static lunges or walking lunges, I have a harder time with those so I go lighter. Upper body is feeling yesterdays workout.

Yeah, half way through the week.
