BUFF BADGERS 4/23 - 4/27

Susan - It sounds like you don't even need Cardio Coach with all those fabulous programs you have on your elliptical.

Karen - Have a GREAT time in Eau Claire! I'm sure your body will appreciate the brief rest and you'll back stronger than ever.

Thanks, Laurie. I WISH my DH would get excited again about P90X and give it a try. I think the fact that we don't have a pullup bar or a good place to put one postponed our starting together and then I decided to go ahead anyway. (I've been doing barbell rows with different grips instead.) He's been complaining about his weight though and busting out his pants (literally) so he'll have to do something. He still goes to the Y about 2-3 times a week (usually only 2) but I don't think that's enough. He only needs to lose about 10 pounds so he's not in real bad shape but his cholesterol starts creeping above 200 if he doesn't watch it.

Last night I had extra energy after my walk so I did the blasts from LIC and the cardio from HSC - about 20 minutes total. It was fun to do Cathe again. This moring I did Tracey's Sweatfest Kickbox for the 2nd time. I liked it a little better than the first time but the first combo is still too repetitious for me. This one sure burns a lot of calories though. I hope I haven't swayed your opinion on this workout, Laurie, before you try it. Let us know what you think.

Good Morning All,

Just popping in before I leave to say have a great day and wonderful workouts. Enjoy the beautiful day.

Tomorrow I am planning a run, lower body and abs. Sun. is tandem day and then back to Mon.

I have to try Tracey's kickbox again, hope I'll like it better. Still don't like squeeze. I tried it again yesterday and not my kind of exercise.

Happy Friday ladies!

Today I did Muscle Endurance and a 30mn walk. I am home with my sick DD10 today so I think I'll probably jump on the Elliptical while my laundry is washing!:D

Saturday is errand day, here, there and everywhere! Sunday will be a quiet day... I hope!

Enjoy your weekend! Susan

Morning BB's,

Well yesterdays Cardio Sweatfest was interesting. The last combo I just stood there in a stupor, because the pace she set was a little too fast for a first timer to this workout. I agree with you all on the repitition of the first combo. Why! 16 then 32, it really got you warmed up for the next combos, but a little overkill. :) The good points of the workout is that your upper body gets a fantastic workout, and Tracey isn't annoying. :) I like all the kicking, and it isn't hi impact. The pants didn't bother me too much, but sometimes she wasn't with the music, and it seemed that the tempo was a little fast for Tracey at times also. Her voice wasn't in sink with parts of the workout either, but then I have noticed this on some of my Cathe workouts also.

Today is XStretch, and Saturday I am doing Core Syn and Yoga Zone Power Yoga.

Tonight I'm going to take the girls to a movie. Meet the Robinsons is playing. Just getting out of the house and doing something different. We somtimes tend to get in a rutt. :)

Karen, Have a great time shopping today.

Susan, So sorry to hear DD10 is sick. With the way the weather goes from one extreme to the next, and of course being exposed to so many germs at school doesn't help any.

Sue, My DH is the same way, but he doesn't have to contend with the cholesterol. When we where first married he had a 29" waist. He still isn't bad, but he is frustrated with himself. I just told him that his metabolism at age 46 isn't the same as in his 20's and 30's. Poor man. :D

Have a great weekend,

Laurie

Laurie - Thanks for the review. You put into words what I was thinking on many points. I think Tracey has real potential as an instructor and I like the fact this workout is low-impact but high intensity. I think my DH needs to learn the same thing about not eating like he's in his 20s or 30s.:) Enjoy "Meet the Robinson". My kids and I saw this on Good Friday. I didn't fall asleep which is a good sign;-)

Susan - Sorry DD10 is sick but hopefully better tomorrow to enjoy the nice weekend.

Karen - Have a great weekend!

Today is my rest day so I slept in this morning. Tonight I'll do my walk and then Stretch X. I've only done this one once so I'm looking forward to it. Tomorrow is Yoga X and Sunday I'm going to sub one of the TLTs for Core Syn.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Sue
