BUFF BADGERS 3/26 - 3/30

Hi Ladies! Yes, the foot still aches but not as badly as it was. Maybe taking the week off from high impact will allow it to heal.

Tonight we are going to 2nd Wind to purchase an elliptical. My DH left his job a few weeks ago, where he had a corporate fitness center. This new job does not. So,now he wants to go purchase this "commercial grade" home elliptical by Life Fitness. I have a hard time spending so much money on a machine. I can get a nice used car for that much! Anyway, since I hurt my foot,he said enough was enough and we are getting one. I am actually kind of excited, but I won't let him know that! ;-)

My weekend looks quiet. I have to get some Easter shopping done and take the kids to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

Take care - Susan

Susan, I can understand not wanting to spend the money, but I'm thinking you are going to get alot of use out of this piece of equipment. I wish I was getting and elliptical. :( But you have fun. Have fun at the movie also. DD's want to see Meet the Robinsons.

Susan - I agree with Laurie - an elliptical is a great choice for you and your DH! Think of all the Cardio Coach workouts you can get now;-)

Laurie - Thanks for reminding me of Kathy Smith's kickbox workout. I have the one with Keith Cook if that's the one you're talking about and it's a good intermediate workout. So DH is getting ready to ride, huh? My DH is bummed that the Miller Lite Ride for the Arts is June 3 because that's tournament weekend for DS' baseball and every parent has to volunteer - no excuses. DH has done the ride in the past and really enjoys it. I don't ride very often but I'd be willing to do one of the shorter rides.

Karen - It's funny you should ask about results because I was noticing this morning my legs look thinner and I have a tad more definition in the shoulders. I think the combination of not doing any step, yoga, kickbox and only 1 leg workout per week is doing it. My thighs have always been bigger than I'd like but also very muscular so even when I lose weight the thighs don't shrink much. It'll be interesting to see what happens after phase 2 & 3 (if I can stick with it that long!)

I did Gilad's Fat Burning Workout and the band segment from Stretchmax. Just not enough time for Stretch X and I wanted to do a light cardio. Tomorrow is Core Syn and Sunday is Yoga X. I think I need to wash my puzzle mats before I roll around on the floor again though for Core Syn;-)

Have a splendid weekend everyone!

Sue

Laurie, have fun with your house full of girls. What do they do when they get together. Glad you wart is gone. It sounds like you are gearing up for another round of the X.

Sue, That is so neat you can see results already. You will make it through the next phase. It's neat you are adding different things to your recovery week. It makes it more doeable.

It's raining here, Laurie, did you make your run before it started down your way?

Have a nice day.

Sue, Yes that is the workout. I'm looking at it as a KenpoX replacement. I'm thinking it will work.

Karen, Haven't done my workout yet. I can't even see outside so I don't know what it is doing out there. x( But if it is raining, I will get on the old treadmill. And the DD's had a great time at Texas Roadhouse. My tummy was full too. :9
