Hello ladies! Hope you all had great weekends! Mine was uneventful but wonderful due to the weather! :)

Being that today is Monday of course I overslept!!x( My DD10 had me up during the night because of the lightning. She hates it! So I will do the workout after work! Today is CTX Power Circuit(cardio) and then Legs/ABS.

Enjoy the beautiful day!

Susan

Hi BB's,

I had company starting on Thurs and through Sun. I did run 4 miles on Fri. and Tandem bike rode with DH 17 miles. Today I am going to run.

Susan, it really was a nice weekend especially weather wise. What leg workout are you planning on doing?

I guess before I posted, I should have gone back and read the posts from Thurs. and Fri. I'll do that and get back here.

Lauren's birthday was really neat. She dressed up, got her hair done up by her Aunt and even wore high heel shoes. My dad got her a corsauge(spelling). She was so happy.

Have a good day.

Sue, hope you are feeling better. I'll bet the weather perked you up. I couldn't afford the road trip, most likely would not have gotten in anyway.

Laurie, I get to see my parents again for Easter. I am glad you get to see yours also. Are you still doing Barry's or are you done with the rotation?

Morning BB's,

Today will be Barry's Arms and Abs plus treadmill.

Saturday I did Cardio-Camp with Kimberly Spreen. I really enjoyed this one. Had Hi/Lo mixed in with kickboxing. Sunday was Xstretch.

The weekend was beautiful, and I found out I need to get a new basketball. There is always someone that doesn't have a ball to shoot hoops with. :)

Karen, Yep I am doing one more round of Barry's then I'm starting my Cathe/P90X rotation.

Susan, Sounds like a good workout for you today. You had thunder storms! We didn't have anything down here. Unless I slept through it. But those things can be frightening when you haven't heard them all winter.

Sue, Hope you day is going well. :D

Have a great day!

Laurie

Karen - Sounds like you had a fun weekend. Sounds like your DD has a special birthday. Hope you took pictures (we always forget).

Susan - Thunderstorms, eh? Luckily, thunder has never bothered my kids while they're sleeping. Is the weather today nice up by you or have you already had a cooldown? We're supposed to cool down starting tonight I think. Oh, well, it was nice while it lasted:)

Laurie - We can never find a basketball either! ;-) We're so close to school and their basketball hoops that we should really buy an extra one. I like to shoot, too.

I did my yoga Friday night, Legs and Back on Saturday and Kenpo on Sunday. That ended Week 3 of my P90X rotation. This morning I felt a tickle in my throat again so did a 2 mile walk and Stretchmax on the ball rather than Yoga X. Probably just as well because my inner thighs are screaming today from either yoga or Legs and Back.

I hope to get outside tonight to enjoy the weather. Hope everyone else does, too.

Sue

Hi!:D

Got up on time today and did my NordicTrack for 30 minutes then chest and back.

I am doing my own strength routine this time around. Long before I ever heard of Cathe I was making my own programs up so I thought I'd go back to that for a change of pace! I am trying to increase my strength by going pretty heavy.

Have a great day! Susan

Morning BB's,

Today will be Barry's Legs & Butt plus the cardio. Well the weather was beautiful, and this morning it was humid in the house. Glad it was only one night. We have a mock FDA audit going on at work today, and I feel like I shouldn't leave my desk. I don't want to be stopped. These people can stop and ask you a question. How fun is that.

Susan, Sounds like you are doing great. How many sets and reps do you do?

Sue, Let me know what you think of Core Syn. I was a so-so on that one. It was a tough workout, but too much rolling around on the floor. :D

Karen, I read back from yesterday. The bike ride sounded like lots of fun. It sure was nice getting outside, wasn't it.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Susan - I do weights on my own sometimes, too, like when I don't feel I worked the muscle to failure - I'll add in a couple sets on my own. Can't say I've done this with P90X though. Prior to discovering Cathe, I used the Body for Life pyramid style with 6 sets and reps of 12, 10, 8, 6, 12, 12. That can be really challenging if you pick the right weight and the right exercise. DH fixed the squeaky wheel on the Nordic Track - yeah! I'm hoping to use it as an add-on cardio during my P90X rotation but that hasn't worked out yet.

Laurie - Rolling around on the floor in Core Syn, huh? LOL That sounds "interesting" to say the least! Are those the famous banana rolls you were talking about? Can't wait to check it out. I should have been on schedule to do Core Syn today but I couldn't bring myself to do Yoga X yesterday and to skip it felt like cheating so now I'm behind. Oh, well. Being stopped by the FDA and interrogated does NOT sound like fun. I'd be so nervous they'd probably think I was lying!

Yoga X had me sweating profusely this morning. (Laurie - It must have been humid in our house, too.) Good news - I think my balance is getting better:) I don't fall out of position right away - about halfway through though. Tree is my best balance posture so far. Am I the only one that skips Crane entirely? Okay, so maybe I'm cheating.

3/28

Hi there!

I did BFL once about 5 years ago. Right now I am doing 3-4 sets per exercise. 1st is a lighter weight to failure, then a medium weight, then heavy squeezing out as many as I can. Depending on the exercise I will then go back and pick up the heavy again and see how many more I can squeeze out!

Today is supposed to be Body Blast. However, during the afternoon yesterday I started having a pain in the arch of my foot. By the end of the day I could hardly walk on it! This morning I woke up with the intention of working out but as soon as I took my first step the pain was back. I don't know if the impact I have been doing has caused a stress fracture or what.... This is the same foot I had a heel spur on as well. I am going to see how it goes for now. When I was walking the dog it seemed to "ease up" a bit. If it doesn't get better today I will do some Pilates.

Have a good day everybody!

Susan

Morning BB's,

Today is BBC Shoulders & Back and I'm going to do a steady state run on my treadmill. I don't think the rain will be favorable to running outside tonight. x(

Oldest DD turns 14 today! :D She brought a pan of brownies to school for all her friends and teachers. Yesterday she started track, and she had a great time. This morning she squated to get something out of the cupboard, and groaned. :D Her coach would like her to try spikes this year, so we will probably head out on Friday and get her a pair.

Susan, Oh man, sorry to hear about your foot. At least you have Pilates and your Nordic Track. You take care!

Sue, I can't do the crane pose to save my life. I'm still trying to keep myself from keeping poses. But I am so much more flexible, and the leg strength can only increase with Yoga. I have to admit, my fav's are the Chaturanga to up dog. I can hold the Chaturanga so much longer than I ever thought I would.

Karen, Hope you are well.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hi BB's,

Laurie, hope you had a fun run. Do you like all the BBC dvd's? Do spikes help on a track or does she run on grass? Hope she has a great birthday. My DS turned 13 yesterday. The kids are also on spring break so we have been keeping busy with lots of activities.

Susan, I hope your foot feels better. It sounds like you are getting in a lot of good workouts.

Sue, Funny how I don't mind the crane. I don't have a problem with that one but can't balance to save my life.

Today I did CC6 Candace and a segment from stretchmax. I got out for a short run yesterday after I did the PUB/PLB premix.

Have a great day everyone. Off to fix lunch for some hungry kids.

Susan - Sorry to hear about your foot! Hopefully some rest is all it needs.

Laurie - Yoga X is definitely a leg workout! I hope my legs don't get any bigger though. Yikes! They're big enough. I don't think they will though. It's funny when it comes to flexibility because my hamstrings are very flexbile. I even use the yoga block to extend the stretch farther forward like they show in Yoga X. But I can't get my leg very high for the standing splits or reach my arm around my back in the triangle pose. Maybe with time. . .

Karen - Wow! You can do the crane - I'm impressed.:) Have you always been able to do it or did you have to practice or work up to it. It might be one of those things like levitation holds where it seems you can either do it or you can't. Hope you're enjoying spring break with the kids. Our break doesn't start until next Friday (Good Friday) and then they have the whole next week off.

Only working half a day so I can take DD to the orthodontist this afternoon. She gets spacers put in today and next week she gets her braces. Knowing I was off this afternoon and after staying up late with DH to watch Six Feet Under episodes we recorded, I slept in this morning. I'll workout as soon as I get home and then take DD to her appointment. I'll let you know how Core Syn goes.

Well, I survived Core Syn.:) Some moves I had no problem with like the walking pushups but forget the Dreya Roll (I stuck every time!) As hard as some of the moves are though, I guess I like the fact that P90X is taking me past my comfort level to challenge me in different ways with different exercises I'd never even think of doing on my own.

Off to do my daily walk now. The rain has stopped but the skies look like we might get more. Have a good night.

Sue

Good Morning BB's,

Today I am planning a run unless it rains. It looks like it might. If it does, I will do some full body workout.

Sue, I could do the crane right away. I can't do the levitation hold for anything though. It must be something you just can or can't do. Sounds like you had as much fun as everyone else rolling around in Core Syn. I've actually never done that one. Hope you had a nice walk.

Enjoy your day.

HI there! My foot still is not up to much impact so I walked the dog and then did Bi's/Tri's and ABS.

After work I may jump on the Nordic Track...

Have a good day! Susan

Morning BB's,

Today will be yoga, and I haven't decided which on I want to do. Bryan Kest or Sara Ivanhoe, I'm leaning toward Sara. :) Ran 2 Miles yesterday on the treadmill, just to wet and cold yesterday for me. Such a wimp I am. :D

DH and I are going to take the girls out for their birthday dinner. We will probably be heading to Texas Roadhouse. Of course that means I don't have to make dinner either. :D

Karen, Wish your DS a belated happy birthday. So now you have another teenager in the house. :) From what I understand spikes are suppose to help on the newer tracks. The ones with the composit material. The track they run on in middle school is black top, but she does run at the HS and other tracks.

Susan, Hope you foot starts feeling better, and go go go on the Nordic Track.

Sue, That is what I like the best about P90X, it really challenges you. I'm going to start another round, but I'm incorporating different workouts. Come on over to the Xers check-in. You may need the moral support in the weeks to come. :D

Have a great day!

Laurie

Laurie, do you like Sara Ivanhoe? I've seen some of hers but sometimes it's hard to tell from the small bit of video they give you to preview.

I ended up running 7 miles outside. It's 45 here and windy. It was actually quite nice. That's my new record for running at one time.

Susan - Your dog probably likes it when you layoff the high impact. I'm guessing he/she gets more walks in? :)

Laurie - I think I need to expand my yoga collection. It would be nice to have some shorter yoga workouts for those days I don't have time to do Yoga X. I'll have to checkout the Xers checkin. So why is it I'll need moral support in the coming weeks?! The next phase must be tough. Bring it on! LOL

Karen - 7 miles is great! Congratulations on a new record.:)

Kenpo X this morning for me. Tomorrow is supposed to be Stretch X but I had 2 rest days last week from being sick so I don't feel like taking one. I'll probably do a short cardio and as much as Stretch X as I can.

Sue

Morning BB's,

Today will be BBC Chest & Abs, and I'm thinking of a 3 Mile Run outside. If the weather cooperates. :) Saturday is Kathy Smith Kickboxing (going to revisit this one, I remember it as being a good workout). Sunday will be a 4 Mile run and XStretch. :) Then it is another round of the X combined with other workouts.

Sue, Yep, it does get tough on the next round. The Chest, Shoulders and Triceps is a tough workout. And it was not one of my favorites in the series.

Karen, Way to go on the 7 miles, and having to deal with the wind. So it was more like 8 miles. :D As far as Sara Ivanhoe, I would say that she is Yoga Lite. :) Her workouts are for those days you want to stretch more than anything. The added plus is that I don't find her annoying. Denise Austin has some great yoga and pilates workouts, but I just can't stand her voice. :)

Susan, Keep up the great work, and hopefully your foot will be feeling better.

Speaking of feet, remember that wort on my heel! Well I think it vanished. I still seem to have two small ones, but the larger one is AWOL. Not that I'm complaining, but maybe I should head to the Doc just to confirm.

We have a busy weekend, the DD's are having some friends from faire sleeping over this weekend. A house full of girls. My poor DH. :7 And after we ate at Texas Roadhouse last night, my DH had us looking at bikes for him. WHAT, DH thinking of exercise!!!!! And he is serious. :D

Have a great weekend,

Laurie

Good Morning BB's,

Today I am doing B&G leg blast and CTX upper.

Sue, It sounds like you are feeling better. No rest day. Bring it on. Are you seeing any results from the X yet? Have fun working out with Tony.

Laurie, how was you birthday meal out? We used to go out for birthday meals but it got to be to expensive. Now I make them a meal that they like. Boy times have changed, even in what the kids in track run on. That's nice, less impact. Let us know how her season goes.

Susan, is you foot feeling better?

Have a great day.
