BUFF BADGERS 3/12 - 3/16

Good Morning,

Hi all, today I am doing Yoga X.

Laurie, neat your DD9 is so excited about her concert. Is it singing or band? Cute about the guys in the warehouse thinking you might be cousing It. Have fun with CTX kickbox.

Susan, you are right spring weather is gone. Nice job on MIS. It sounds like your rotation has a great mix of her neatest workouts.

Sue, hope you are still enjoying your walks. At least is is staying light later. Are you still liking the X? It sounds like it.

Have to go to a meeting at H.S., so I'll talk later. Have a great day.

Laurie - DS has a concert tonight, too (singing). This is one way boys are different from girls. . . DS waited until last night at 8:30 to tell me he needed to wear green for his concert tonight. We looked in his closet and found 3 green shirts. Of course the only one he would agree to wear is a Packers jersey with peeling lettering. x( If I had known last week, I would have bought something decent. Oh, well, at least he's tall so he'll be in back and barely visible anyway;-)

Karen - Yes, I'm still doing my nightly walk but not enjoying it as much as I was earlier in the week that's for sure. The "X" is going well although I have to admit Legs & Back which I did this morning is not my favorite. Tony just doesn't do enough reps to get that burn going in the legs like Cathe does. I like the 80-20 speed squats at the end though.

Susan - MIS is tough if you go as heavy as you can. I sometimes switch the order and do the upper body exercises first when I'm fresh and do the legs at the end. I have muscular legs so it's always easier for me than upper body.

As previously mentioned, I did Legs & Back this morning. Tonight after DS' concert I'll have to squeeze in my walk and Ab Ripper X. Tomorrow is Kenpo X! My goal will be to master the star block where he combines all the different blocks together. He totally confused me last time which isn't that hard to do! LOL

Have an enjoyable day everyone!

3/16

Happy Friday!

Today I am chaperoning my DS7's field trip. They are going to "The Building for Kids" in Appleton. After school I hope to do IMAX2.

My weekend seems quiet so far.... but I am sure it won't stay that way!

Have a great day! Susan

Good Morning,

Happy Friday to you too. Today I am doing SH legs and shoulders and coremax. Tomorrow I will do Hardcore interval circuit 1, and Sun I don't know what I will do.

Susan hope you had fun at your DS7 field trip. What is "The Building for Kids?" Have fun with Imax 2.

We got 2 or so inches of snow last night. Where is spring?

Have a nice day.

Morning BB's,

Happy St. Urho's Day!!! If you are of Finish heritage you would probably know that today is the celebration for that Saint. :D

Anyway, today will be SH Shoulders, PLB Stablility Ball and a 30 min Interval Run.

Saturday I plan on doing Criss-Cross Cardio and Sunday is XStretch.

Susan, Have a great time on the field trip today! I was thinking of you yesterday when I was doing the 64 power scissors in CTX Kickbox. :D Yes I counted them!

Sue, That is funny about your son. My oldest did that to me on Sunday. She said "Oh yah, by the way, I have a concert on Monday". x( Just lucky I had purchased the black skirt and white shirt that was required before that.

Karen, Last night my youngest DD had a singing concert, but the 4th grade played two songs on their recorders. That was pretty neat to hear. :D Just saw your post. You got some more snow! We are suppose to get some too, but I was hoping it would be too warm. Well maybe spring will decide that it wants to appear next week.

I did another portion of the Yoga Target Zone, this one was called Power Weight Loss. For a 20 min workout this one was good. Now I'm wishing they had put all 6 of the workouts on one disc. Because this one mixed with the lower body would be a good one. I will have to see how the Core Power and the Power Sweat workouts are. I will have time this weekend to try them out.

Have a great weekend!

Laurie

Hi again & Happy Friday!

Finally got back here. Rough week with the time change although I have worked out most mornings. And loved the warmer weather earlier in the week.

Sue - glad you are liking P90. I have heard so many good things about this set for strength gains. I think the goal to walk at least a mile a day is a good one. I am trying to walk more and get in some walks at lunch too.

Laurie - Are you doing Barry's Bootcamp? I thought about these but saw mixed reviews. Some thought he had many unsafe moves. But maybe it is different if you know good form. Would this be good for weight/fat loss? I bought that yoga DVD from Target too but haven't tried it yet. Good to know it has some good workouts.

Did I mention I bought an iPod? I have been busy learning about downloading music and workouts (iTrains etc). I am sure there is much more I could do but right now I am happy knowing the basic stuff and was quite proud of myself.

I quit WAC and joined Princeton (formerly Motion). I wanted the indoor track and eventually will try some of the classes. Tomorrow I meet with a personal trainer to get a routine.

If any of you are intersted in trying the iTrains, there is a coupon code for a free download posted at VF. They have 2 iTreads for outdoors and many for treadmills.

Hi Kay and Susan!!!!

Hello Marie, Good to hear from you again. Yes I plan on doing a week of Barry's. I'm not sure I want to do a full rotation of these. Because they do have very high impact. I will be using the treadmill workouts the most. After doing Cathe and PlyoX, I know how to make those unsafe moves that BBC does in the workouts safe. I think if you where new to exercising these workouts could potentially be an injury waiting to happen. Try out that Yoga DVD, I think it has some really good workouts for the amount of time. I like the twists and stretching in them.

Hi Everybody! Well, those 7 year olds wore me out today! The Building for Kids is a HUGE children's museum totally for them. Everything is educational but fun. They recently added on and made lots of stuff for them to climb.

So.. after I got home I was sooo tired. The thought of bouncin' around to IMAX2 exhausted me so I chose to do an hour of Pilates instead. It felt much better! :)

Have a great weekend! Susan

Glad you had fun, Susan. Yeah, chasing around a bunch of 7 year olds in a children's museum would wear me out, too. :+

Checking in kind of late today but better late than never, right?

Did Kenpo X this morning. Is it just me or does anyone else wish he'd add in some jump kicks? And why does Tony do so many deep stretches in the very beginning before your muscles are even warmed up? Tomorrow I want to try Stretch X for the first time. Question for all you P90X grads - if I were to change my rest day so it falls during the work week instead of on Saturday, when would be a logical place to do it? I'm thinking this morning would have been good after Yoga X on Wednesday and Legs & Back yesterday. Mentally and physically, I seem to need a break during the work week or I get too tired.

Have a nice weekend everyone! Hope no one gets any more snow - yuck - let's be done with winter already. C'mon spring!

Sue
