Morning BB's,

Disc 25 Chest & Back is finished. Would like to get in a short 20-30 min. cardio workout after work. Yesterday was so beautiful, and I got in a short run. I think I may have been a little dehidrated, so the run wasn't my best! :( Saturday I did get the Knockout Body workout done, and I went all out on that one. Good low impact workout.

Short week for me, I only have to work Mon. thru Wed.

Karen, I think I'm going to pass on the kettlebells, I just don't need anymore equipment. Maybe if I get a bigger workout space. :D

Lala, How many days are you at school this week? Or do they shut down this whole week for hunting? Have you tried out that gymboss?

Susan, I'm surprised that I have gotten this far with these workouts. I think that STS is her best strength workouts. I don't know how she would top them. ;)

Hi girls,

Today I did StrikeZone and Brutal 8 workout from Rock tv. Then I did a segment of stretchmax and abs from bosu blast.

Laurie, I don't blame you for not wanting any more equipment. You definitely have enough other stuff to do. I just wanted to let you know that kettlenetics is nothing like KB. Hope you get your cardio in tonight. Hope you are drinking a lot to make up for yesterday.

Lala, don't have any great recipes for venison. I normally just cook it in a slow cooker. The guys did not get anything.

Susan, did your DH get anything? What good venison recipes do you have that I can borrow.

Have a great day. Applied for a job as a 4 yr. old preschool helper part time today. Hope I get it. DD7 is home sick so I didn't get the application in as soon as I wanted to, due to her sleeping in. Just didn't have the heart to wake her up.

What are everyone's plans for Thanksgiving? We are going to my mom and dads on Wed. night and staying through Fri. Then we will go to my brother in laws house until Sun. sometime. The neighbor offered to watch our dog so we don't have to worry about him.

What a beautiful day. It's 50 degrees here and sunny.

Laurie - Short week for me, too. I want to take off Wednesday afternoon but I have so much to do I think I'll have to settle for a 4 day weekend. STS is Cathe's best strength workouts - Don't tell me that! :eek: ;) Actually, I'm enjoying endurance workouts right now but a good 'ol strength workout every once in a while does feel good. Maybe I'll consider getting some of it at some point. . .

Karen - I think you'd make a GREAT preschool helper! Hopefully the person hiring sees that. Brutal 8 doesn't sound like a fun workout. Is that the one with the water bottles?

Hi, Susan and Lala! Hope you're getting good workouts in before Turkey Day.

Checkin day today! I'm down 11 pounds total. I'm a little bummed because yesterday I weighed in at 12 pounds lost and somehow magically that pound came back today. :confused:

Today is my rest day although I did do my 30 min. walk at lunchtime. I don't really count it because we go at a slow pace. It's enough to warm me up but not enough to make me sweat (which is probably a good thing seeing as how people have to work with me the rest of the day ;)).

Here's what I've been up to:
Friday - Absolute Kickboxing combat intervals, kb segment #1 + Rumble bag combos + 30 min. walk
Saturday - Step & Intervals cardio + MIS upper + Leslie 1 Mile Jog
Sunday - LIS cardio + HIS cardio + Leslie mile + Standing Abs (Exercise TV)

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone! (in case I don't make it back here before then)

Today was step blast...fun! We have school through Wed, but I´m taking a personal day on Wed, so tomorrow is my last day!!!

Laurie, my gymboss is still in the package :eek: Hoping to use it sometime this long weekend.

Karen, hope you get the job, it sounds like a good one!

Sue, BIG CONGRATS on the weight loss! I notice differences between days, I guess that´s why "they" say not to weight daily...oh well. Who does the absolute kickboxing? You have done some good workouts!!

Today I am doing The 500 hundred workout from Body Rock t.v. with the step mixed in of Imax 2. I guess the exercise can be done in the same time it takes to do the blast.

Sue, good workouts. Yes, Brutal 8 is the one with the water bottles, not all that brutal. Do you use the same scale all the time? How many rest days do you take a week? You are doing a great job. No progress here. I guess HIIT isn't all it's cracked up to be or I am not doing it right.

Lala, Step Blast is a fun workout. The kids didn't want to go to school today because no-one is there. Today is the last day for the kids. Open your Gymboss, I am dying to hear if you like it.

Have an interview at 3:30 today for the job.

This morning I got in a 2.75 mile run on my TM, and then did Cardio Blast Premix from DM. That is one way to burn 731 cal. :eek: I just have to get in the Med Ball Abs from STS.

Karen, Good luck on the job interview! That was very nice of your neighbors to take care of your dog. Our neighbor girl walked Cami all summer when we where at faire. We are going to be celebrating Thanksgiving with DH's family on Wednesday night, and then on Thurs. I am making dinner for the four of us and we are going to have desert at DH's brothers house. They are having ham and my DD's want turkey. :D Well so do I. On Friday afternoon we will be heading to Wisconsin Dells to play in the indoor water parks. :D When are you leaving for your parents? I have not looked at those workouts yet, can imagine what Brutal 8 is like. ;)

Sue, Enjoy your Thanksgiving! Congrats on the weight loss, I'm planning out my Thursday so that I don't overdo the eating. :D Probably a good idea on our part that I'm making the turkey, then I can control my eating. I will plan on incorporating the desert though. :D You are doing some great workouts. Sorry Sue, but I think Meso 2 & 3 are her best. :eek:

Lala, Ok I will give you this weekend to try that gymboss out. :( :D Oh how I wish I had a five day weekend too. But I'm saving all my vacation days for after Christmas. :D

Disc 26 Plyo Legs is done, and I really really liked the plyo work! Sometimes I dread doing Cathe's Imax's, because they can go on and on. But only doing the plyo for 30 sec. and then going to leg work is awsome! Reminded me of Cindy's Results, and Barry's Bootcamp amped! :D The only thing I question is the met value they placed on the workout. My HR was up in the zone through the whole workout, but they gave the met value on the workout manager as 6. I set my met value on my HR monitor on 9. I recorded 500 calories burned, and on the WM it said around 389. :eek: I was sweating buckets doing this workout. Next plyo workout I will reset my met value, and see what happens. :rolleyes:

Home today and made 2 pies and one cheesecake and sweet potato casserole. The cheesecake is all lowfat, so I don´t know if it will be very good. We´ll see.

did an interval run today with my gymboss...had to check it out! It is fairly easy to figure out how to use and set up. However I had a big problem while using it...it kept resetting:( so I´d either do my fast interval way longer (well, not way longer, because I couldn´t ;) ) or I´d have to do a slow interval longer to reset it. At first I thought it was because I had to clipped to my waistband and that my leg was hitting the start button, so I moved it to my vest, and it still reset :mad: So I ended up running with it in my hand and that was fine, but not what I want. I´ll keep playing with it and if it continues acting up, I´ll contact the company. Wasn´t using my headsets and was able to hear the beeps really well...I know that was a concern of some on one of these forums. So, it´s a good piece of gear for intervals and it can be used as a timer, PROVIDED that this reset thing is just a fluke.

I have to apologize for not checking in earlier! DD had to use the computer every night for her school projects that are now, thankfully, done! My weekend was kind of quiet! Saturday I did BFBM and pilates, Sunday I ran with Ruby for 50mn then had to do some major stretching! Monday I got on the ellipitcal for 50mn followed by ab work. Tuesday I had a really great 3.5 mile run, and then was busy running around the rest of the day! Today I am just pooped and calling it a day off! On Thanksgiving I plan on waking up early and running by myself for 4-5 miles and then walking Ruby and then BFBM!! Getting all prepared for a day of eating!:p We have 2 meals, one at my in-laws and one at my sisters!

Sue, way to go on the weight loss! I am so impressed! You are my inspiration!:) I am still stuck and I know if I just got more sleep it would budge! I have been running on empty getting only about 5 hours a night! Not good!!:(

Laurie, I hope you have a great time preparing your Thanksgiving meal!! Glad you enjoyed the STS series!

Karen, best of luck to you on the job!!! I could really see you doing that sort of job! I love that age!;)

Lala, I hope your Gymboss works better for you next time! That sure can be frustrating!

Hello! Hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I did but had a tummy ache later!:p Friday my DS had a sleep over and I super cleaned our basement. Boy, I was sweating when I was done! This morning I ran 4.5 miles then came home and grabbed Ruby for a walk. I hope to get some pilates in later.

I just wanted to say Hi and hope you are all enjoying yourselves!

Hi, Susan! I noticed you were online so hopefully you'll see my post. You are one busy lady and definitely need to get MORE SLEEP! ;) :D I couldn't function on 5 hours let alone do any sort of workout.

Thanks for the congrats on the weight loss. It's HARD but seeing the number go down helps keep me motivated. I said I wanted to get down to a certain number by Thanksgiving and am happy to report that I got down to that number -1. :D Didn't do too badly on Thanksgiving either. I think I ate about 2500 calories but I did a killer workout that morning, yesterday and today and the eating is back on track.

Going to see New Moon soon. Have a great rest of the weekend!
