BUFF BADGERS 11/10-11/14

Hi all! I've been working thru lunch to get more hours in (don't worry I still eat!) so didn't have time to checkin last week. Workouts have been short but at least I'm still getting something in. Something is always better than nothing, right? ;)

This is what I did last week:

Tuesday - Butts & Gutts premix
Wednesday - All Step cardio
Thursday - PUB Chest, Back, Shoulders
Friday - Rest
Saturday - PUB Tris, Bis + PLB
Sunday - Gilad Step 'n Tone w/10 lb. vest
Monday - BBC Chest & Abs (wts only)

Tonight DD has a band concert. HOpe everyone has a great week!

It is soooo cold. On Sunday DH and I ran in the Jingle Bell run. I did it in 30 mins. Poor DH lungs bothered him since it was so cold.

Today I am going to do something lite not sure yet.

Hello ladies!

My weekend was busy!!! Ran around all afternoon Saturday trying to find new bedding/curtains for DD's room. We went to 10 stores and found nothing that "spoke" to her. Yesterday afternoon I spent 3.5 hours re-arranging DD's room. I did not know how much stuff she had! Well, it is much nicer now!

I did get my new T-Tapp workouts in the mail. However, I only got the chance to try out the 30mn workout. It was tough! I took my 2 week measurements this morning and I lost 1/2 inch off my waist and 1/4 inch off my thighs so far! That's with being bloated due to my cycle! I was happy!

Today is the elliptical for 30mn (Heart Rate Extremem program) and T-Tapp Mini Max workout(30mn).

Dani, how far was your run?
Sue, you got in some good workouts last week. Just had my DDs orquestra (that is a mix of Spanish and English spelling :) Can't seem to remember how to spell in English :eek:) concert a couple of weeks ago. It's nice to see how well they do!
Susan, that Ttapp is doing its thing! And you got in workouts along with rearranging DDs room? Amazing!

Hello Everyone,

Today will be KPC, yesterday I did core max. Not motivated to work out but I will.

LaLa it was just a 5k. We have another one in 2 weeks then we are doing one on New Year's Day. I wanted to sign up for a 1/2 marathon in May but no strollers allowed.

Happy Veteran's Day to everyone. I do not feel like a vet, I think vet's are more from the world war era's and Vietnam. It is just weird. Oh well. Hope everyone has a great day and survives this cold. Is it spring yet?

Today I am going to do the 1hour T-Tapp workout I got in the mail. If it's like the 30mn one I have done, I might be in trouble! ;) That was tough!

DS has Tae Kwon Do tonight and then I watch Biggest Loser.

DD is home sick with a bad sore throat, aches and pains.

Dani, I am thinking about training for a 1/2 maramthon starting in the Spring. We'll see how it goes.

Lala, I can't do IMAX workouts in the early morning hours! My body just doesn't like to bounce like that! I need to do those in the afternoon!;)

Boy, is it gloomy here! I slept in because I do not walk Ruby in the rain!:p Today is the elliptical for 30mn (HIIT), then T-Tapp 30mn followed by Pilates Max for 20mn.

I really liked the 1 hour T-Tapp workout. I felt a great burn in my glutes and my abs were tired too! I'll be doing this workout 3 times a week for a little while.

Do you guys watch the Biggest Loser? Well, I do not like Heba and wish she would go!! I was happy to see Amy vote off one of her "blue" team members. I thought it was a pretty good show! Another show I have become addicted to is Mystery Diagnoses on TLC. My DS loves to watch it too!

Our house is fighting a cold/sore throat bug and it's no fun! Today I will be doing my 60mn T-Tapp workout again. I also walked this morning. Tonight DS has Tae Kwon Do. I need to rake again but of course it's supposed to rain....

What a busy week I have had so far! DD and I are enjoying the "newness" of the gym. Yesterday was 5 miles of speedwork, and today will be upper body. I do enjoy the TM's at the gym better than mine at home.

Susan, It appears that everyone has been busy around WI lately. Sorry you have been alone! :( I have watched the BL off and on this season. I am having a hard time liking a lot of these people this year. I'm not very fond of the other lady on the blue team either. Her husband was voted off this week. See I can't even remember her name! LOL! :eek: Is that MD show a lot like House? I love that show!

Dani, You are a vet! And that is that day that I always remember my Uncles who served in WWI and Korea. My sister was in the Army, but it was during peace time.

Lala, Will have to check the Nov rotation.

Today will be a leg workout at the gym, and some type of cardio. Maybe I will be brave enough to try the elliptical! LOL :D

Hope everyone is having a great week, but maybe a busy one! :D My boss called in sick again today, so another day of bliss! LOL :rolleyes: I came in early today, so will be leaving. Hopefully getting to the gym early enough to play on more of the machines. :eek:

Laurie, it sounds like you are really liking the new gym! Glad to hear it. How does your DD like it? Try the elliptical!!!! You'll love it!:)

Today I must rake all the leaves out front. After that, I am not sure what I'll feel like doing!

My weekend is busy in a run errands, clean house, kind of way!

Friday night finds me in front of my computer...don´t know if that deserves a :) or a :(! Parent conferences this week, along with tons of meetings, so yes, it has been busy. Went swimming, did a B/G premix, GS upper body, this week...not all in one day!

so Laurie, you found a gym! great! Hope you enjoy it and I´m sure you´ll put it to good use.

Susan, I hear you on the leaf thing. Just waiting for it to dry out a little!

Hi Badger gals!

Sorry to be MIA but I was working thru lunch again this week to get my hours in at work. There's so much to do and we have to meet our deadline no matter what. This means not as much free time for perusing the Cathe forums - one of my favorite things to do. :(

Unfortunately, some of my co-workers are working REALLY crazy hours (12-13 hours a day) and it's starting to take a toll. One guy collapsed at home Thursday morning with chest pains and was taken to the hospital. He's fine now but they found a sack of fluid next to his heart. Stress-related. He's only 41 and in pretty good shape but I know he said recently he hasn't had time to workout. He's also the type of person who internalizes his stress. The doctors gave him some medication but I think that's just a short-term fix to his problem. Upper Management took notice and told my boss they want this project done but not at the cost of anyone's health. Due dates haven't changed but my boss did tell he team that she's freezing changes. That was one of the problems - trying to get the work done but the requirements kept changing. I don't know how much that'll help but it's a start.

So anyway, I've managed to get a few shorter workouts in this week:

Monday - BBC Chest, Arms, Abs weights only
Tuesday - BBC Back, Shoulders, Abs weights only
Wednesday - Rest
Thursday - 4DS HIS cardio
Friday - BBC Arms, Abs weights only + 1 mile walk with weight vest

Today I'm planning to do BBC Legs plus as much cardio as I can.

Laurie - What a new world you've opened up for yourself and DD by joining that gym! That sounds like a lot of fun - trying out different machines. I agree with Susan. You HAVE to try the elliptical.
