Morning Ladies,

This morning I finished Disc 10, Chest, Shoulders, Biceps and all I can say is WOW! Lot's of push-ups, and this is the one that you go from 65% to 70% of your 1RM's. I was trying to comb my hair this morning, and could hardly lift my arms up to do that. :eek: After work today I will get in a run, and the Ab Circuit stability ball workout.

Had a nice weekend, and spent Friday and most of Saturday by myself. Both girls ended up going over to friends houses, so I was all alone. :D Got my workouts done, and some house cleaning finished. DD16's BF was over on Sunday, and I have to admit this kid is very nice. :rolleyes:

I forgot to add that I broke my green band! :( Have some other ones from other workouts, but it just doesn't seem the same. I also got the 10 min. Solutions Knockout Body workout for only $15 at Walmart. I have my recovery week coming up next week, and I hope to try this one out. ;)

Today I did STS disk 23 Legs, abwork and leg floorwork from B&G.

Laurie, wish I could add cardio in on my weight days but just don't have the energy. You must be like the energizer bunny. Nice you had some time to yourself. I almost got that Knockout Body workout from Walmart over the weekend but decided I don't do half of my workouts I have now. Glad you like DD boyfriend. Have fun with your run. Are you seeing any results from your combo of weight and cardio work?

Lala, you have been putting in some busy evenings. Hope things slow down now that homecoming and the like is over. Good you are getting some running in before the weather gets even colder.

DS had a football party with 9 of his friends on Sat. They played football her in our yard, grilled out and had a bonfire. A couple of them ended up spending the night. Tonight are conferences for the HS and Jr. High. Also DS11 plays his last game of flag football. Soccer for HS is almost over as is cross country. It will be a nice break before Basketball starts up.

Laurie - Disc 10 sounds tough. Hope the DOMS isn't too bad. I've broken my green band also! I ordered 2 to replace it so I'd always have one in stock. :) I'll bet if was nice having some time to yourself this weekend. I'm looking forward to 10/24 because DH is taking the kids to Rockford and I'll have the day to myself! Will probably do like you did and do housecleaning. The maid never seems to show up when I need her. :p

Karen - Sounds like a fun party for DS and his friends. Basketball next, huh? I'm secretly glad DS doesn't want to do basketball this year. Need to get the kids back to Dojo since we're paying for it and not using it. :(

The weekend was very busy. DS won his football game 6-0 on Saturday morning. Gave me a scare when he went down on the field for about a minute. (2 kids landed on his hip - it's okay, just bruised). Later that day we drove up to Wausau for band competitions Saturday night and Sunday. We came in 2nd both days. The winning band has better visuals but we sound better. ;) It was wet and cold both days but not as bad as it could have been. Felt sorry for the bands that had to perform in the pouring rain. Luckily our band performed both times during a gap in the rain. 2 more weekends of competitions and we're done for the year!

For workouts:
Saturday - Prevention cardio
Sunday - 45 min. on treadmill at hotel
Monday - zzzzzz :)
 
Hi there! Way too busy of a weekend and way too little sleep! Had DH's class reunion on Friday and Saturday night. Did not get to bed either night until 1:30am and then had to be up at 5:30 both mornings. Just too darn exhausted!:( Saturday I did manage to walk for about an hour but yesterday I was busy running errands until 6pm!

Today I have to mow the lawn and do yard work before the rain hits tomorrow. I am grumpy with being so busy lately. Unless I wake up at 4am, I can hardly get a workout in! :mad: Things got to have to change is all I say about that! Hope to do some pilates tonight...

Hi! Couldn´t make it out of bed this am so did bootcamp after school. Then to dance class!
DH invited his parents and sister and BIL over to watch the game, but I need my beauty sleep....GO PACK!!!!

Susan, hope you get some good ZZZZZs I get really grumpy when I don´t get enough sleep.

Sue, glad DS is fine. and congrats to DD and her band. I am always disappointed in our marching band in that if it rains they don´t perform. "Back in the day" our band always performed, rain or shine, at every game *sigh* times change!

Laurie, as usual getting in great workouts, especially runs on STS days...WOW!
I have this week and next before my rest week, but really think I should take some time off now, I'm just too anal in some things, though, so I'll wait!

Karen, talk about no energy for cardio...but look at you! STS legs and then some:eek: Sounds liks DSs party was a success!
 
Hi ladies! Pretty dreary day here!:( Glad I got the lawn mowed last night! Started getting sick yesterday, sore throat, body aches etc... Woke up today not much better! 3 ladies at work are sick plus the HS kids coughing and sneezing all over me! Anyway, hoping to get IMAX1 done today. Have not looked at this one in a long time!

Lala, hope you got your beauty sleep!:) I think the Packers better clean up their offensive line before we see the Vikings again! 8+ sacks is a little too many! :mad:

Morning Ladies,

Today was TaeBo Get Ripped #2. I was fine starting out, but about half way through the workout my arms started to just wear out. ;) Guess that weight workout yesterday was a killer on the arms. :D

Karen, I don't do a long run, it is only about 2 miles total. ;) No way could I get in more than that. I was feeling that my waist was getting a little jiggly, so that is why I added in the running. Maybe it is just my imagination, but I feel it has helped. I have not measured myself yet, I'm waiting for Sunday morning. :D I to am waiting for the break between sports.

Sue, I'm wondering if I should order the new bands. ;) Wish Walmart had that on their web page too, because they have the weighted vest. I could have them shipped to Walmart and pick up for no shipping. ;) So glad your DS was ok after that hit. Hope the rain stays away for the rest of the competitions.

Susan, Most of those DOMS are in my shoulders. ;) Right now they are talking to me about that TaeBo workout. :D I know my DD's and DH all had that cold, but I so far have managed to keep it away from me. I think you are right with the Pack, that has been their problem for many years.

Lala, How was that beauty sleep, I was in bed too and didn't watch the game. :D I'm bad that way with my workouts also, I have this need to make sure I keep on track with this rotation. :D If I don't then I will be doing these workouts during Christmas, and I know that will not be a good week. :rolleyes:

Today I did STS disk 22 and KCM step boxing(her first one). Thinking my weight is to heavy, not even as heavy as last time but I seem to have to lighten the weight a lot. I am not sure if I'll do meso 3 or not.

Laurie, those arm workouts really sneak up on you. Did you use weighted gloves for your Tae Bo?

Susan, hope you are feeling better. Nothing like Imax to kick it out of you. Did DH enjoy his reunion?

Lala, what dance class are you taking or is your daughter taking it? Did you do the original Bootcamp?

Wish the Packers could have had a better showing last night. Darn Vikings.

Hello again. Came home sick from work, fever, body aches, sore throat, etc... After I pick up kids from school, I am putting my jammies on and calling it a night!:(

Hope I am better tomorrow. My friends said it stayed with her for 4 days!! She missed 2 days of work last week....

I'll check in tomorrow!

Morning Ladies,

This morning was Disc 11, and another good workout by Cathe. Only one more Disc in this Meso and then I get a recovery week. I'm looking forward to doing some yoga, since I have not incorporated those into a rotation in quite a while.

Karen, I didn't use weighted gloves for the TaeBo, he just goes to fast in his punch combos for me to use them comfortably. So all the hurting I was doing, was because of DOMS!!! :D Wonder if you need to take a break from STS(I can understand why you like to do them though) for a while, maybe try some of Cathe's circuit type workouts where and use lighter weights? Just a thought. ;)

Today I did Bosu Blast, what a fun workout. Her ab section is great also. Haven't done the Sharon Mann one on the same dvd in a while either.

Laurie, I think you are right. I am going to do some of the circuit type workouts or full body without the really heavy weight. I just seem like I am not a good sore anymore. I do love the leg workouts in STS. Glad you are coming up on your recovery week and can get some good ole yoga in. I have to get some in too.

Laurie - I don't know what the bands are like but "new" is always good. ;) I've done the walmart.com in-store pickup and it worked sweet. Ordered my Cathe weighted vest that way.

Lala - So what kind of dance class are you taking?

Bad news yesterday. Because of the economy and decline in sales, our company laid off 24 yesterday (out of about 600 total employees) including 19 in the shop and 4 in the office. We lost a junior level person in our dept. who handled a lot of support calls. Means more support and less project time for a few months until the economy picks up and we can re-hire. Feel bad for the 24 who are now out of work with Christmas right around the corner. :(

Had to relieve some stress last night so did Timesaver #1 which is SJP step, chest and triceps. Hope to do Timesaver #2 tonight. Does anyone know if these are supposed to be done in a particular order? I figure I'm okay as long as I don't repeat body parts.

Hi BB's, just a quick check-in before heading back to bed. Fighting a fever and bad cough, body aches etc.. I have not been this sick in a long time!:( Keep hoping after each nap, I'll feel better but so far, no such luck.

No workout for me yet, but will get in BFBM and Ab Circuit Med Ball when I get home. DD12 has her last cross country race today, so I'm planning on getting there to watch that. Brought along my winter coat! :D

Karen, Glad you got in a workout that you enjoyed. I'm looking forward to the yoga, I think it will be nice to meditate in the mornings instead of getting that heartrate pounding. :eek::D Wait! Depending on the yoga workout I just might get the heart rate pounding. :D

Sue, Sorry to hear about the lay-offs, we had those at the beginning of the year. Hopefully we will not have anymore. I am planning on getting that vest from Walmart.com also, because I'm guessing that I probably will be needing it. Should get that done sooner rather than later! :eek:

Laurie, have fun at DD's last meet. Good thinking bringing a winter coat. It sure feels like it. What yoga workouts are you planning on doing?

Sue, sorry about all the layoffs, meaning more work for you and a hard time for those who got laid off. We really only have today. Did Timesaver 2 have the other body parts on it? Was it a different cardio also? I don't have that dvd.

susan, are you feeling better today?

Lala, any tips on how to pass Spanish? DS15 is having problems again this year.

Last soccer game for DS15 tonight. I will be bringing my winter coat also.

Susan - Sorry to hear you're still under the weather and now DS9 has it, too! Get some rest and don't try to do too much even if you are feeling better.

Karen - TS #2 has Step Blast combo #3, back and core. All the TS workouts have different body parts and I *think* the cardio is different in all of them, too. Also, they include some bonus footage not on any other dvds. Congrats on finishing Meso 2 AND getting a cardio in! You rock!

Laurie - There's always a lag for our company in feeling the effects of the economy. It was the same way after 9/11. Of course there have been some other big things happening that have been costing the company lots of money, too. We might have been okay if it wasn't for those things. Last weekend I brought winter coat, mittens, blankets and long underwear to watch the band competitions. I was toasty warm. :D

Last night I did TS #2. Wondering if I should just abandon the thought of doing morning workouts and just start doing my workouts after dinner. I can workout right after I eat without a problem. My only concern are all the things that come up that will prevent me from getting my workout in. Have to wait until football and marching band are over anyway so I have time to ponder it all.
 
Well after today I should be able to be here more. I am the new coordinator for a field trip that the 3rd graders do every year "Sister Cities Day at the Zoo". It was today and I am SOOO glad it´s over and although it went well I stress out so much when I have to organize that it really wasn´t much fun for me. but all the kids enjoyed it!
So after that stress I went for a short run. Yesterday I was walking the dog and got dizzy, so that was it for exercise.

Susan, sounds like the flu? Hope you´re feeling better. I heard that the Dells closed their school for 3 day bcause so many kids were sick :(

Susan, So sorry to hear about the layoffs. I guess I thought we were recovering, but apparently there is still some trickle down...and not the good kind :( I have the TS workouts but never really used them...they sound like something I should try, though!

Laurie, I *heart* the recovery weeks for STS. I think I did absolutely nothing!!

Karen, hmmmm passing Spanish...here are some ideas. First of all, spend about 20 minutes reviewing what he did in class. Do his homework ;) (that is DS15, not you :eek: )Label things in the house...yes I can see the rolling eyes :rolleyes: but it works. Listen to Spanish language music. check out www.pandora.com Does his text have internet resources? If so, those are good places to look. Hope this helps!
 
Hello there. Was up all night coughing and my chest hurts really bad.:( DS has a high fever today but otherwise says he's okay. Looks like we may be heading to the Dr.

Karen, how did the last game go? Bet it was a cold one!

Laurie, how did DD do on her last CC match? I am not ready for this winter like weather we have heading our way!
