Morning Ladies,

Saturday I got in KenpoX, Sunday was a read a book day! Totally enjoyed the time to myself. This morning was Insanity Core Cardio & Balance, so starts the recovery week.

Karen, I didn't get the F&F workout with my set, they are including that DVD in the current sales. I went through a BB coach, but I think that you can get it direct from BB for $19.95. :rolleyes: They don't know how to charge anything else for a DVD.

Susan, Another Packer loss, and this weekend are the Vikings! :confused: They are just injury ridden!

heartymax, There are always was to take a break in Fast & Furious! I had to. :D

Laurie---I love watching some football on the weekends too. We had a disappointing loss also.

I did Cardio Fusion on Saturday and Slow and Heavy Shoulders, Biceps and Triceps on Sunday. Today was Kick Box from CTX. I haven't done any pushups since earlier last week. Gotta get back to doing those.
 
Hi all! Looks like a busy week for everyone, seeing as i am the third one to check in! Fri I did the premix that you suggested, heartymax, the upper body cardio from drill max...it was a good one.
Sat was a 3.4 mi run and then painting...again:( finally finished (well, at least for now) yesterday
Today was KPC minus the crunch since I was crunched for time ;) and did some leaf brushing...that is my new thing. i got this apparatus that has brushed and as you push it, the leaves are brushed and thrown into the bag. Did that when I was little and they still make ´em! so much easier than raking ;)

Laurie, what book did you read? What a lovely way to spend a day! When you have a rest week do you totally rest?

Hi gang! Finally got some computer time!;) Saturday was a 4 mile run and then I finished up a book I was reading. It was over due so I had to get it done. Great read though! Saturday night DS had me up until about 5am not feeling well so come Sunday I was not in the mood for Turbo Jam. Instead I took Ruby for a trail hike. Today was MMA Kickbox.

Laurie, well the Badgers are winning and our hometown High School team is winning so the Packers losing (again) doesn't hurt as much!:eek: It'll be an interesting game come Sunday!

heartymax, great workouts there! My biceps were burning last week after I did CTX Kickbox.

Lala, where did you get that "brush" and what is it called? Sounds much easier than raking! We have a HUGE maple getting ready to drop her leaves and I am so not looking forward to cleaning up after her! Hope you enjoyed your run Saturday. Mine had a rough start cause I did not want to get out of bed, but after the first mile I found my pace. Tomorrow I go 3 miles.

Hi,

Yesterday I managed to squeeze in Keith Weber Kettlebell workout.:) Today I work all day again and have to pick up from sports, meals etc. Don't know if I can get anything in. Hoping some type of cardio, maybe Hiit 40/20. I'll try to check back in later.

Susan, nice job on your runs. Glad you found time to read and relax. The boys blew and raked leaves for 4 days and now they are done. I didn't even have to pick up a rake. They had off Thurs. and Fri.

Lala, I like KPC minus the crunch.:D How does you deck look? Nice job on your workouts.

Laurie, do you think Fast and Furious is worth the price? Sounds like you enjoyed your weekend. Enjoy your rest week. I have to get motivated to throw in some Insanity soon. They are good workouts, just need to get back into them.

Hi there! Well, last night DD had me up until about 2am with her cold and coughing. When my alarm went off at 4:30 to run, let's just say, it wasn't happening! After work DS has a dentist appointment and then I need to help him work on a Science project. Hoping to get on the elliptical during Biggest Loser. I will run tomorrow (I hope!) I need a nap!:confused:

Morning Ladies,

Today was P90X Core Synergistics, and that was a good workout.

DD17 is not going to be taking her ACT exam this weekend, it will now be pushed off to Dec. Her coaches think that she might be able to qualify for the state cross country meet. So she will be running this Saturday. We just have to indicate on the application form what her test date will be. :confused: To many dang forms! :eek:

heartymax, Hope you are able to get back to the push-ups. Can be hard when you are doing other workouts.

Susan, Sorry to hear that you have sickness in your house. You are very busy today, hope all goes well and you are able to get on the elliptical.

Karen, I wish that bb would have charged a lower price for that workout, but I can say that I really did like it. It is a workout that is very short, but feels like you got in a much longer workout. I have a non dread factor for those type. ;) Guess it is worth the price, because I know that I will use it.

You guys all do such a good job of getting your workouts in. HARD workouts at that! I'm almost embarassed to post what I've been doing but something is better than nothing, right? ;)

Finally checking in after a busy weekend. We came in 2nd at State but the crowd liked us best :D so we're winners as far as I'm concerned! This was for Marching Band. If I get a chance I'll post a link on Facebook. They had a Celtic theme with kilts, bagpipes and a Trinity Irish dancer! But it wasn't all about gimmicks. Their music and marching was spot on.

DS won his football game so his team is 5-2 now. We have some good news about him playing next year but don't want to jinx it by saying. DH and I are very proud of him.

Now for the bad news. . . . diet and working out was terrible end of last week and on Saturday! I told myself I had to just get through Saturday and I'd start over on Sunday. On Sunday I did Shred It With Weights Level 2 and 1. Shouldn't have done that. . . My inner thighs are screaming today. DH and I went for a walk last night and I did 2 Leslie miles this morning. I'd like to do some abs and upper body tonight but who knows! Have a haircut and DD has play rehearsal and unsure what time it ends. Opening Night is Thursday so it's "Hell Week" for everyone involved in the play.
 
Today was Power Hour. Lighter weights from what I have been using lately but definitely a burn from all those reps. OUCH!

Laurie---I actually could do all the sets of push ups for a change...so that is definitely due to my doing those push ups the last few weeks. I felt so proud of myself.

Sue-- congrats on getting 2nd place. Your family has definitely had a lot of excitement with games, etc. I am sure the entire weekend was a lot of fun. Don't worry about the diet....hey it is hard to stay on track during times like that.

lala---I am glad you thought drill max was a lot of fun. It has definitel been a favorite of mine lately.
 
Susan, it´s a Sweep it! and I got it at Menards. Works very cool!

I must have that cold of your DD...felt terrible all day today. Didn´t exercise. Hope to get in some GS tomorrow. But my shoulder is pretty sore, so we´ll see.

Karen, you always seem to get in some good workouts despite your schedule! Go for 40/20...it´s your favorite, right?

Sue, Just hang in there...you have a lot going on, plus you always do manage to get in a workout. I really think that consistency is more important than HARD! What play is DD in? I´m not sure what our school is doing.

Laurie, Good luck to DD. and for the ACTs, too!

Heartymax, There are lots of times that I think a weight is going to be too light, but dang (as Laurie says ;)) if Cathe doesn´t know what she is doing and those weights are just right!!

Didn't get a workout in yesterday but I got up early today and did Insanity Pure Cardio. Forgot how hard Insanity was.

Lala, I would have pulled out 40/20 this morning but I didn't want to move the step.:) Why is your shoulder sore--from a workout?

Sue, what do you mean not getting in good workouts. That Jillian back to back is tough. Congrats to DS team. As far as the eats go, there is always tomorrow. You are doing great.

Laurie, cool DD may qualify for state. My DD took her ACT in Sept. I agree with the to many forms- even to sigh up for the ACT took me forever. Any changes since starting your new rotation?

We are going to pick up a $500 car today so we have 3 cars. It will really help trying to get people where they need to go. We will have 3 cars for 4 drivers instead of 2 cars-one that is always gone with DH and 4 drivers.

I have conferences tomorrow night so I probably won't get a chance to check in or for that matter do any workout. I guess I'll have to cut back on the no bakes.

Susan, is everyone at your house feeling well? Where are you hiking?

Morning Ladies,

Insanity Cardio Recovery and about 20 min. of punching drills from KenpoX for me this morning. That was a good combination, since the Insanity workout is more lower body work.

We where informed that DD's potential track college coach will be at the cc meet this weekend, that should be even more insentive for her to run good. ;) Of course the only thing he can do is introduce himself ~ WIAA rules. :rolleyes:

Sue, Hey you where a busy lady, so any type of workout that you can get into your schedule is great. Congrats to your DD on the 2nd at state, that is wonderful and quite the experience for her too. I have told my dd that anytime that you can participate in something like that is special. Not everyone gets to have that chance. ;) Will be waiting with baited breath to hear all about DS's news. ;) Just start each day as if it is a new one, and try your best and of course forget the rest. :eek: I know quite corney of me. :eek: :eek:

heartymax, PH is such a great burner workout! I think that workout fries the triceps and biceps so good. Wonderful job on those push-ups, keep up the great work.

Lala, I will be looking for the Sweep It too, sounds like a great device to have. Sorry to hear that you might have a cold, take care of yourself. Guess that happens when you are around children all day. :eek:

Karen, Pure Cardio was a tough workout for me when I tried it again, but the second time was better. ;) Very good idea getting that 3rd car with all those drivers. To soon they will all be in college! Seeing changes in the biceps, and some in the waistline. Of course the muscles are really hard, and I still need to get fat off the muscle. The one thing is still having some fat, but the the muscles start to grow so you get that puffy feel. Or what some people refer to as bulking. I'm glad that I incorporated the Insanity workouts though.

Heartymax - Great job on the pushups! Power Hour is a great workout but you're right - lots of reps.

Laurie - Congrats to DD on maybe qualifying for State! I don't remember a bunch of forms when I took the ACT. Makes sense though. I had to sign 2 forms and fill out another one this morning at the dentist just for a normal checkup. Argh!

Karen - Yeah, sure I did those 2 Jillian workouts on Sunday but before that it was 4 days of nada. Lala is right - consistency is key and I have not been consistent at all.

Lala - It's called An Evening of Terror. They're doing 3 mini plays: The Telltale Heart, Night of the Living Dead and something else. DD is Zombie #3 in NOTLD. Just found out this morning they are in some sort of competition Saturday morning and she has a 5:30 A.M. call! Can't wait until she gets her license. . .

Susan - Hope you had a chance to nap and watch BL last night.

Last night I did PUB Upper and a few crunches while watching Biggest Loser. Who thinks that guy with the 2 pound weight loss didn't throw the weigh in? C'mon I wasn't born yesterday. :rolleyes:

Tonight is Parents Night for the play so unfortunately that means NO WORKOUT again. Going to miss the last Varsity football game tonight before playoffs, too. Our team is really good this year and it would give me a lot of satisfaction seeing them crush North who beat us at state for marching band. {insert evil laugh here} :p

This is my new mantra "It's better to eat well and not workout than to eat crappy and not workout."
 
Hey ho! Well, that sickness my DD had has jumped over to me. Yesterday my throat was bad but this morning it was worse as was the congestion. I slept in a little but still took Ruby for a little walk. I am going to rest today and get to bed early and hopefully wake up refreshed so I can run for 3 miles tomorrow. :eek:

Sue, I feel the same as you as far as eating healthy etc. As long as I eat well, I don't feel guilty skipping a workout. And yes, that guy DID throw the weigh-in! Congrats on the marching band award! I love listening to the bands play- gives me chills!

Karen, life should be a little less hectic with one extra car! Good job getting your workout in early today!

Hi! today I was/am feeling better so did GSCT with lighter wieight for the chest.
Karen, I´m not sure how I injured my shoulder. It´s been bothering me for maybe a couple of weeks but I thought it was a bruised bone...like I had my barbell balanced wrong. But I think the painting aggravated it. I´m trying the RICE thing before I go into the doc.

Laurie, isn´t this your rest week??:D:D

Susan, Hope you get over whatever you have. I felt the worst yesterday and then last night things cleared up. I still am not 100%, but well enough to exercise ;)

Sue, I like your new mantra!! :D The plays sound like a lot of fun...and oh yea, won´t that driver´s license be great!

Today was Cardio Core Circuit. It was my 2nd time doing this workout. Last time I just did the cardio portion but this morning I did the core. I continued to modify as needed. I don't ever plan to do those stop drop and rolls......OH MY!!! I feel just as happy with my modifications.

lala, hope your shoulder gets better on it's own. You definitely know what to do to let it heal. Are you doing a GS rotation?

Susan, hope you are feeling better today. Did you end up running?

Sue, I agree the big dude lost the weigh in on purpose. congrats to DD and DS what great years for both of them.

Laurie, very impressive for DD to be getting looked at for a scholarship in track. I think I might get fast and furious.

Morning Ladies,

Did Jillian's Yoga Meltdown Level 1, and then followed that up with Cathe's Total Body Stretching Basic Stretch. Wanted to get done a little earlier this morning, to get the dog to daycare and me to work in a decent amount of time. This combination was great, because of Yoga Meltdown being so athletic and she doesn't really do any type of stretching in the workout. The Basic Stretch is all lower body stretches so it worked perfectly.

Sue, That play sounds great. LOL about the child getter her license, it really is nice to not have to run the child everywhere. Wait until you see the questions they ask on the ACT application. :rolleyes: I think one of the questions asked dd to describe her personality! I'm not kidding. We also had to fill out the forms for her to get into the acedemic assistance program at college. This way she has someplace to go to if she is having problems with courses.

Susan, I hope you start feeling better soon. Where you feeling well enough to get in that run?

Lala, Way to take care of the sore muscle. No use making it worse. Yes it is my rest week, but I feel so good that I just can't help myself sometimes. All of the workout have been fairly easy ones this week.

heartymax, Do the workout the way you want, and I don't like that move either. Isn't that the one where Cathe gives you the option to do something else. I opt for the something else. :eek:

Karen, You are on a roll getting up early and working out! How early do you have to get up? F&F would be a good option if you don't have a lot of time, it really makes you work in a short time frame.

Laurie---I choose to do something else mostly when that option is available in CCC. That is one tough workout. I hope you enjoyed your stretch. I need to give more attention to my stretching.

Today was Muscle Max for another total body workout this week. I love those leg presses with the band.

Hi there! Today I did get up and get in that 3 mile run. I have a lot of congestion in my chest so I had to stop and cough stuff up here and there. Not very pretty!:eek: Was hoping to do pilates later but so far it's not looking too promising! Have not decided what to do tomorrow but thinking P90X Core Synergistics.
